Who Has a Holly?

I have two hollies :3 Anael I traded a GON for her iou back when you could still trade GONS (Have yet to summon a GON since then so I am wondering if that trade somehow messed up my scroll so I can never get one now)

 

And Joyous Joyous was a gift from a good and very generous friend of mine ^^! This year I am gifting Anael's offspring to a user I have already chosen and Joyous' baby I have yet to find a trade for xP Hopefully I can do so before Dec since I hate trying to find last minute trades.

 

Pretty even gen holly x whites are PRETTY! <3

I have two 2nd gens and with neither of them promised to breed for anyone this year, I'm finally going to get to try this:

 

 

Of course, I won't be able to keep it, but I've been looking forward to trying it since I grabbed the 2nd Holly off the AP.

 

Also, for people seeking 2nd gen Hollies, I got both of mine off of the AP, and we get more new CBs added each year via the raffle, so it's very possible to get them there.

I don't think I even have very much dragons with Hollies in their lineages, but I have this Red with Spiral lineage with Hollies.

 

I've been dreaming that I would find a mate for him, but so far no luck.

I was previously gifted a really beautiful Thuwed by an angel, whose name had probably better go unmentioned, which takes the edge off my Holly lust quite nicely, lol.

 

So I hope, by some miracle, to someyear snag a nice 2nd gen out of the AP, with the right other go-with-almost-anything sort of sprite in the lineage - since we only get two spots, I'll save that second spot for something useful for all sorts of year-round breeding, even if it takes forever, lol.

I was wondering if i should start breeding him with a CB silver, instead. If you were to catch his offspring, which lineage would you prefer?

Your old breeding partner has a better organized look, to my eye, but something White and Silver that exactly mirrors his lineage would look the best IMHO. The female could be White or Silver(preferred,) but the parents would be a CB Silver mother and a White father whose parents are CB Silver male and CB White female.

 

Along the same lines, I was gifted a spiral Holly this last Christmas, http://dragcave.net/lineage/eF19n, and will use a Horse to continue the pattern, but can't decide which one to use:

Leaping Kilyzaretta Silvon, Egg Stolen on: Feb 29, 2012, and the name is a combination of the Horse Dragon's spriters.

I've continued to thank this one person even now who had had reached out gifting me my first holly and the second one I caught from the AP. Looking forward for next Christmas to pass that feeling to another person. One already has a selected giftee and the other is reserved for the Holly raffle.

I agree with dragongrrl about a mirroring image for the lineage. However, if you use reds on the other side, across from the Hollies, that might give it a nice, uniform look - or the new Crimson dragons, depending on how they look and what kind of red they are.

 

Also, if you give all of the dragons that you use names the same length as "Lighted Garland" it should even the lineage boxes out to something that looks kind of like this:

Actually, I'm looking for an advice concerning one of them - what to breed him with? I thought about mirroring the lineage with reds, but the bright pink will make it a little awkward. Any other ideas...? Don't want to create something messy.

I had a siminalr problem with a 3rd gen marrow http://dragcave.net/lineage/cBH1Q and I solved it with a "mirrored" mate using reds instead of a holly and blacks instead of marrows. I'm pretty happy of th result
