Concerts

Recommended Posts

So I was wondering what concerts you all have been to.

Sunday I went to the Nightwish/Kamelot concert. IT WAS AWESOME. Kamelot did an amazing job, especially in getting the crowd into it. Nightwish was great. The new singer on the tour (apparently they got rid of Annette) was pretty good, although she wasn't able to hit the high notes.

This video shows basically where I was standing, maybe 2 people back and slightly to the right:

You can hear me I think.

In summary, it was bloody awesome. kamelot had us sing happy birthday to three members in the band. LOL.

I've been to two Tokio Hotel concerts (I met the band before the second concert five years ago wub.gif), and to a Hurts performance. Loved them all and had an awesome time - I absolutely love the madness of a concert! wub.gif

The last concert I went to was Rush in 2002 (I was pregnant at the time).

I was at one of Oingo Boingos last Halloween Shows in 1989. I've seen the Cure and Depeche Mode and Jethro Tull.

There are a lot of concerts I'd like to go to, but of course, that takes money.

I truly cannot remember all the concerts and shows I've been to. (That's not bragging, I really can't.)

My first show was The Monkees/Weird Al, my second was Tesla and Firehouse (hahahaha).

Others that stand out are Beastie Boys/The Roots/John Spencer Blues Explosion (Best. Show. Ever.), Pink Floyd, 311, Rammstein, Lacuna Coil/Sevendust, Dee-Lite, Bad Religion, Dave Matthews, Rancid, GWAR, Rabbit in the Moon, Sasha and John Digweed, Brian Setzer (formerly of The Stray Cats), Mazzy Star, Aerosmith, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, The Toasters... lots of local bands and music festivals when I lived in Atlanta.

I haven't been to many shows as of late, but we're trying to make the Behemoth show in Houston this month!

I've been to festivals before (Like Sfinx Festival, Esperanza and other mini things)

But the real concert I had was from Owl City (it was awesome!) and since I do listen to all kind of music, I also went to classical music concerts but don't know the names..

This year I'm going for Our Last Night biggrin.gif Who's familiar with them?

I've been there too with her (she's my sister wub.gif), and I loved it. I really like Hurts so I went there super excited and came back home without my voice. laugh.gif

I've also been to PCD, that I really used to love until they split up. sad.gif And I've been to Rihanna's performance... worst one I've ever been to.

The only concert I've been to was for Bonobo, on the last concert of his The North Borders Tour. Supporting were Darkstar (who I missed) and Gold Panda (who was, like, ethereal) and onstage Bonobo had Andreya Triana, and Cornelia, and Grey Reverend, and it was amazing biggrin.gif

And you can watch it all here!

Kendrick Lamar,

When was this? I've only listened to To Pimp A Butterfly so I'd love to know more

Wow! I'm so jealous Gee. He came to play here at sound wave I think it was but it was soo expensive and I had no money at the time. ;^;

Lets see I haven't been to many since it usually involves a lot of travelling. Not many bands/singers visit where I live.

Pink - Amazing, I wouldn't call myself a Pink fan but she was really great.

My Chemical Romance - So happy I got to see them before they broke up!

30 seconds to Mars - I forgot my glasses and Jared was supper skinny at the time so he kinda disappeared...sounded wonderful though. laugh.gif

Bigbang - Some idiot got on stage and tried to dance with Seungri dry.gif but other than that was really fun.

Went to my first concert on St Patricks Day to see Fall Out Boy (w/ Pvris and Awolnation) with my boyfriend, his sister, and their mother.

It was amazing, everyone, every song performed by all of them was amazing and 23423423523/10 would go again. Was well worth losing my voice to. Was hoping to see Disturbed or A Day to Remember a few months later but that's looking more and more unlikely sad.gif
