Hey everyone and thanks for the votes last round!

 

This week's theme is "Texture", because the elements of design are our friends.

 

Example

 

My example is a Macro shot, but I encourage you to look at ANY example of texture - Houses or trees from a distance, your pet's fur, the sky, water... All of it has texture, and all of it is amazing if you just look at it the right way.

 

The Rules:

- One entry per person

- Picture has to be made by yourself and can't be just a reproduction of someone's work. If someone else's work is in the picture, there needs to be something extra.

- No manipulation besides basic photo adjustments (contrast, exposure, cropping, color balance, lighting, etc.)

- No text or framing in the photo. A signature/watermark is just fine, but it's preferable if you don't have "O Hai Eye Hav3 T3XT" (or something similar) present in the photo.

- When voting, please don't select your own image. This will ensure fairness.

- You are free to submit an old photo; you don't need to take a new one just for this competition.

 

Deadline: Monday, September 10th

^yellow pare tomatos! I have some to! thought about taking a picture of them instead of my rose of sharon, but i think it counts

They all look fantastic so far!

 

Also I too am currently enjoying some Yellow Pear tomatos. They're delicious (even if we purchased 5 different varieties of Tomato, including Beefeater and Heirloom, but ended up with 4 yellow pears and one that has produced no fruit.)

Gosh, thanks Leidarendi! I've never submitted this one anywhere before, besides my 365 project. The credit has to go to Mother Nature, though! I'd never seen anything like it, and I thought it was just the coolest thing ever. Hey... kinda looks like it could be dragon scales, too

I know! I think the nice thing about selecting a trait/element of the photo, rather than the content for the theme is that it opens up the contest to far more photos!
