((Woah. Three pages to read D: I thought night had just fallen, Taldaer had only just lost it's power in the tunnel, it would already be night... wouldn't it?))

Taldaer followed the small stream of hatchlings trickle out into the allyway. Only a few of them had made it. It's eyes blinked curiously, the last few hours ((?)) had passed in what felt like minutes. It stood, tail swaying slightly, at the mouth of the ally, watching the blinking lights flash past. It wondered curiously whether any of the other dragons had noticed it's.... lack of gender yet.

((You guys post fast tongue.gif I was at school))

Tyran skittered out after the hatchlings and squinted, his eyes trying to adjust to the light. He looked at the few that made it; ((Those who made it are all of our characters right? The characters not played by anyone are mostly the ones captured right?)) not many. He wondered in his little head what the scientists would do to them. Probably turn them into olive green sickly things like he was. He lowered his head and shoved his nose at the ground, hoping he could root about for a beetle or two. His mistake. The ground the rock hard and his nose just banged hard against it and began to ache with pain. He faced away from the other hatchlings as he pawed at his muzzle and tried to keep his red eyes from watering.

Guys, where to next? I want to go to the forest. It has many hiding places, he said.

Gradlic followed the rest of the hatchlings as they followed the alleyway. He looked around carefully, making sure they were not being followed. His red eyes scanned the area infront of him, and he sighed.

"That was a close one", he thought.

Tyran began following those who seemed to be in the lead. He walked along, slowly lagging behind. When he raised his head again, he saw a climb-able object sticking high out of the ground. It seemed to be what the humans called a pole. it was made of wood and reared up high, with metallic tops that scratched the sky. Long thin black rope-like things were attached to it (power line!)

He sank in his claws and began to climb. As he neared the top he sensed an electrical current and decided not to climb all the way. He looked right and then he looked left. Off in the distance he saw a wide stretch of green. It continued for many many dragonlengths and he then knew it was a forest. He slithered down and ran back to the group, saying, I found the forest! It's to the east and I'm sure it has plenty of natural hiding places! he squealed excitedly, his terrae mind kicking in.

((okay i will try))

Whiteny followed the hatchlings through the alleyway, away from the scientists. Now we just need to get out of here completelyshe thought. She continued ahead from the group then walked at a normal pace. She wanted to get out of here as quick as possible, but its troubling with all the neglecteds.

((If we head to the forest too soon, it'll be happening too fast. As it is we've already had some hatchlings captured again. What happened to the whole 'staying hidden' bit?))

((I wanted to stir things up, if we kept going at the same pace, this RP will be done and go inactive by the 10th page tongue.gif))

((Well lets just start moving towards the forest and get held up by blah blah blah along the way but we have to get there sometime and see what happens.))

((What if they start walking in the wrong direction? They wouldn't know where the forest is...))

((Yeah, but if they go straight into the forest, there wouldn't be much to RP about, would there? If they go into the city, they would have to do a lot more, it would keep this RP alive.))

((Lets pretend the forest is to the east but nobody heard Tyran (since he saw it) and they decide to go west which is deeper into civilization and then along the way they get busted by who knows what smile.gif ))

((Okay, we can do something along the lines of this. Spend a little while finding out what that dragon was in the tunnel, form an escape plan, become disorientated by the city life and head further in. Security cameras would be able to see the hatchlings and they are constantly tracked. Spend a while getting to the other side of the city, then work out what to do from there.

>:3 What if they emerge in an airport and hang onto a helicopter's skids...get taken elsewhere but get a chance to see where the forest really is...random idea 8D/shot

Also, I think we can start trying to make posts looonger. We've had too many four - five liners.

*seriously ponders OOC thread*

Sorry about inactivity...had a S.A.D day >.<))

((Sure...))

Taldaer's head turned curiously at the dragon which had just shouted out that it knew where the forest was. It shook it's head and replied to the young hatchling. You might have just been seeing a few trees, this place is bound to be massive... It shivered, noticing movement out of the corner of it's eye. Distracted, Taldaer leapt into the shadows, pinning the unfortunate mouse in it's paws.

Alshain, who had emerged from the hiding place, now crouched in the corner, watching the other dragons. He saw that there were significantly less of them, and his heart sank. What fate awaited those unfortunate hatchlings...all would likely die. He was still shaken from the incident of the 'ghost' dragon and he longed to know what it was. Being the strong hearted hatchling he was, he pushed those thoughts away. He felt it was his duty to protect the pack and stood up.

'Come on, everyone. We need to keep moving. Unless you want to be caught.'

He turned to see Taldaer catching a mouse. He slowly made his way up, dragging his paws. 'It doesn't look good, that mouse...leave it...' He gave the air a gentle sniff. He caught the scent of something bad. Poison. Left out by the humans in a useless bid to keep the mice away. Hopefully none of the rats they had caught were poisoned. With this risk, their choices in food were rapidly dwindling. They had to keep going.

((Ok))

Tyran sat down with a bump. He was a small hatchling and looked a lot like the others but his small size made him practically unnoticable since he had been captured and turned when he was a newly hatched dragon. He let his tongue hang from the side of his mouth and decided to be patient. Surely nothing bad would happen.

In the back of his mind, his originally terrae side was thinking hard. He knew that the forest or a small grove of trees would have squirrels or mice. As the other hatchlings milled about chatting or resting he turned to face the breeze that had sprung up, bringing with it the fresh scent of life and the sharp scents of the city. He breathed deeply before turning to watch the others again.

Taldaer tlted it's head slightly, questioning the dragon as the mouse wriggled from it's paws, making frantic attempts to escape. Again it wondered whether the dragon realised it had no gender. Taldaer shifted slightly, it's paws finally releasing the mouse. A comment sprung from it's muzzle. Interesting creatures, mice, arn't they? Taldaer realised it was feeling nervous, the tension building from when they had escaped the lab up to this moment had realeased itself. Nervousness and shock wound it's way inside Taldaer, twisting and writhing inside it.

Tyran studied the hard ground between his paws. A few ants scurried to and fro a few inches away and disappeared into a crack in the ground. He patted the ground with his paw, a habit he could never seem to forget about, even though he was no longer a terrae. The ground was rock hard although it did not look like real rock at all. It was too flat and a small crack ran straight up and down and left and right every few steps, he mused to himself.

While he was amusing himself over the earth, the others were speaking to each other in hushed voices. He couldn't make out what they were saying but he was sure it wasn't about him. He prodded a pebble and watched it tip over and then prodded it again.

Bloodvein had sat down on the ground and began to rip chunks of meat of a rats leg. After he'd eaten all the meat he stuck the bone in his mouth and started chewing as he got up. He walked along towards where he though the forest was, west.

"The scientists will capture us if we dont keep moving!"

Wanting to get to the forest first he left the others behind him as he wondered off down the smooth surface of a footpath. He moon could be clearly seen at the very top of the sky, it seemed to light the way for Bloodvein as he kept walking.
