Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) The adults have disappeared from the world. Everything is in Chaos. Children are wandering the streets, sobbing, crying out for the parents they know wont come. It all happened on a Monday. Now I remember why I hate Mondays. Everything seems to go missing... We've managed to figure out that those above the age of seventeen have been disappearing. If you have a birthday coming up, and you're turning eighteen... say your goodbyes now. Fires have started and freakish things happen out of the blue now. It's been about a month since the adults disappeared and there are only a handful of us left. We live in Milnrow, England, and nobody is coming to save us. The scariest thing about this is that we know what's going to happen. We know we're probably going to die here. Nobody's tried contacting us and when we try, nobody answers. Those who journey to the borders never come back. We're all worried because some of us have started acting strange. Those who don't panic say nothing. Those who say nothing... well, we never see them much. However, a handful of us have caught signs of change... The nights are getting longer and the days... shorter. We're trying our best, but we're just kids... Granted, some kids with weird powers... But we can't handle them. All we can do is sit and wait. And tremble. And hope we don't kill anyone with these new abilities surfacing. There have been deaths already. We don't need anymore. Please, somebody... We need a plan. Why is this happening? Help us! __________________ In this small town, you can not escape, and people are steadily disappearing around you. If you choose, you have a power you can't really control. You don't know where everybody is going, nor why you suddenly have these abilities. All you know is that you're a kid, and things are falling apart. Fortunately for her hair color, she stocked up on red hair dye so that she wouldn't have to go to the hairdresser. Ability: She can control a minuscule amount of fire. Weakness: She is very trusting, a but too much. Also, she is horrible with weapons and much prefers hand-to-hand combat, though she not very good at that either. She let's it flow and her eyes are black. She is small and looks a lot like her brother. She also looks fragile but this causes her to look somewhat pretty. She usually wears a dress or kimono. Ability: She can heal others by singing and running her hands over the wound. Weakness: She is weak physically and her power makes her glow, becoming easy to spot by her enemies. He fights for what he believes in and hates injustice. He is caring and gentle but is still one of the guys. He is expressive about his feelings but is not always easy to read and his eyes seem to hold many mysteries. He is sort of quiet, not like most loud obnoxious guys but he is less hidden when around the right people. Val is not easily angered but if he is angry than you can expect to have him mad for quite some time. History: Val was born to a young loving couple who gave him most anything he wanted. He got all the toys he wanted when he was little and had a lot of friends. When his father died and his mother remarried soon after he seemed less cheerful. He had a close relationship with his father, who had taught him to hunt and play sports and such, so when his mother married his jerk of a step dad, he separated from the family some. He loved his mother, and she was upset by his detachment, but she did not see her new husband the way he did. When his mother gave birth to his little sister Vanessa, he was over joyed. He raised her almost by himself, as her father did not care about her, and taught her everything he knew. They did everything together but when their mother and father disappeared she did not listen to Val and went looking for them. She has yet to return. Appearance: Val is tall, standing at about 6 feet, with long legs and has a rather muscular build. His hair thick and is a dark chocolate brown, falling to around his ears. His hair normally looks rather tussled and is wavy, giving it some body. His eyebrows are thick, but not overpowering. His eyes are a green near the pupil and lighten to a sky blue, though the iris is rimmed with a deep blue. His nose is straight, but not too large. He has a deep pink scar that runs from the bridge of his nose, to his right eyebrow, you can see it in his eye, but only a bit. He has thin lips, that are a rather light pink. His cheekbones are high and his jaw is well defined. You could say he has a rather attractive. His shoulders are wide, made for swimming, and his arms are long and muscled. He has a well muscled chest and torso, but he does not show it off. He has big hands, and on the right one he wears a simple gold band on the finger beside his pink, it was his father's. His skin is tanned, but not naturally, it comes from being in the sun so much. He is normally dressed in a sort of fitted t-shirt or hoodie, and straight legged jeans. His shoes vary. Ability: Light (ie. bending it, using it as a weapon, can reflect it, heat it etc.) Weakness: His powers don't work as well at night unless he can get light from somewhere. Weakness: She became really skittish of others when she first got this power, as part of the pray animal. She is known to be highly shy and to turn into a hamster when she fells threatened. Briar is typicaly serious, but not cold. She just wants everyone to be safe and everything normal before anyone else dies. History: Mostly RP'd. When her parents first dissapeaared, and she was just discovering her power, she was out practicing her new found ability. She didn't notice when these older kids got into her house, at first. Then she heard a scream and ran back in, only to find her little sister dead and the teenagers stealing her food. Without meaning to, she froze them completely, killing them on touch. She always blamed herself though, because she wasn't there to save her. Appearance: X Ability: She can make ice with the water from the air. History: Appearance: here Ability: Violet is able to adapt to her surroundings, But not do things like grow wings. Weakness: Overall, her ability is debilating. She loses a lot of energy doing thibgs such as growing gills, and it is also very painful. After adapting, she is basically exausted, but in more of tired way than in a exerted way. From the outside, Break seems like a carefree character, never serious and always smiling. When needs be, however, Break shows his dangerous and evil side. He is always one step ahead, it seems. History: Zarxis has always been an 'angel' according to his parents. His parents worked in the government and they said that he was such a clear boy and could take their place in the government one day. His brother adored him and taught him sword fighting, also giving the cane to him. However, once they disappeared, Zarxis seemed happier. He now stays in the creepy mansion that is some small distance away from the main town inside the woods. Appearance: him with pale hair that covers his right eye. Ability: Able to null and repel the effects of things. Ex. If you try to burn him, he can make the flames unable to reach him and extinguish them. If you try to read his mind, it will just be fog. I won't go too far with this. Weakness: He has no right eye. he gets a serious injury if his ability used too much. Ex. his good eye goes temporarily blind, internal bleeding, temporarily unable to breath, heart rate slows and nearly stops... For some reason, this never effects his brain. She also likes to mimic the people around her. History: she is a mysterious girl who suddenly started to tag along with Zarxis after the grown ups disappeared. She refuses to talk about her past; Kyoko is technically not even her name— it actually means "mirror" in Japanese. More to be rp'd Appearance: Click on the smiley! Ability: She can create mirror-like shields that can repel a certain amount of damage. Weakness: like any other mirror, her shields can break. And when they do, she suffers bad luck for a small amount of time afterwards. Gender: female Family: unknown. Other: she is a good actress, due to her mimicking others so much. Also, she is starting to follow in Zarxis's footsteps, carrying a stuffed toy wherever she goes. His father had bought a sword specifically for his son and said that on day he may have it but until then to train with his wooden one. He would go around the city and stop bullies from picking on kids and then disappear before he was even thanked. Then all the adults started to disappear and he started to protect his home from thieves. He took his sword and wears it where ever he goes now, not looking for trouble but always ending it. Needless to say he took after his dad and learned how to make them as well. He had an average life always liked goofing off and making a joke out of everything. When all the people over age 18 disappeared he had to be strong for his twin sister who was left. One day she disappeared after wondering to close to the borders and Aidan gave in to his madness and discovered he had the power to manipulate the air which went wild during his madness state. Eventually he passed out from exhaustion after a day of constantly using his new found power and woke up after a couple of days later. Now he lives alone in his hat shop in town taking strolls to the top of a hill that looks out to the border of town. He doesn't really talk. When he does, he only says two words at a time. He's a bit anti social and cold to strangers. Also, he's very mysterious. His emotions never show. She's nice, kind and caring but easily hurt. She isn't too afraid to show her feelings and will get very talkative when with friends. Despite this, she is surprisingly clearer and hard to trick. History(optional):She has a weak heart and only with support from her brother did she survive. Otherwise RP'd. Appearance:She has long brown hair that isn't usually tied up and curls at the ends. Ashamun Kotehut called over her shoulder, trying to lift a rather large piece of wood off of her legs. A fire had started in one of the nearby houses and she suspected the cause was children playing with an oven. She'd gotten caught in the explosion that resulted from the fire reaching the gas tank. Her head was bleeding and she couldn't feel her legs under the rubble. Seeing the orange haired boy a little ways off, she pushed her long, choppy black hair out of her face and glared at his turned form. Crimson eyes bored into his back and she cried out again. She couldn't afford to use her power right now. It was way too dangerous without control. "Somebody! There's a kid in here!" She coughed, the smoke from the burning house reaching her lungs. Age(Can not be over eighteen): 13 Personality(optional): Briar is outgoing and loud. She speaks up, all the time and will have a say in anything and everything. No one thinks she's obnoxious though, because her opinion is usually well thought out and intellegent. Briar is typicaly serious, but not cold. She just wants everyone to be safe and everything normal before anyone else dies. History(optional): Mostly RP'd. When her parents first dissapeaared, and she was just discovering her power, she was out practicing her new found ability. She didn't notice when these older kids got into her house, at first. Then she heard a scream and ran back in, only to find her little sister dead and the teenagers stealing her food. Without meaning to, she froze them completely, killing them on touch. She always blamed herself though, because she wasn't there to save her. Posted August 8, 2012 {Love my code name?} Hammy was well inside her hamster form as normal. She and her pet were getting along quite nicely and if anyone didn't know any better, the pet would be like her mom. The hamster was keeping an eye out for cats and stuff, while Ayleth was starting to shift back into human form. She heard someone needing some help, being highly timid, she didn't want to go and check it out, but her hamster did. Ayleth picked up her hamster pet, whose name was Phanpy. She and the old hamster was great friends and it was always Phanpy that got them into trouble. Phanpy wondered what was out there, but she would not let Ayleth go into a place full of danger. She was kinda shocked that no kitties were around, looking for some easy pray to eat. Ayleth also wondered where the kitties have gone, but that seemed to be the least of her worries. She only had three years of being here then she vanishes. She felt bad for the ones that are around eighteen now. She didn't want to become attached to anyone or else she may hurt them when she goes. Weakness: Overall, her ability is debilating. She loses a lot of energy doing thibgs such as growing gills, and it is also very painful. After adapting, she is basically exausted, but in more of tired way than in a exerted way. She can only change herself in relitivley small ways. A lot of times, her adaptions are unitentional. Posted August 8, 2012 June was listening to the birds and nature when she heard someone call for help. June, desperate for friends, went to answer the call. Seeing the flaming building, she gasped. Wasn't it she that could control fire? But she didn't know how to, exactly. She would just have to risk it. What if someone died, though? She'd feel horrible. They could die without her, though, too. June gulped and stepped forward. "Hold on...I can control fire...so here goes..." The girl closed her eyes and focused on the flames. Feeling the heat, getting to her, she tried to think of cool things. The fire being put out. The flames died down a bit, but soon came back stronger. June whimpered in fear. She could kill people! So, she dutifully stepped dangerously close to the flames and, amazingly, they parted for her. At least it was an accomplishment. June stepped forwards slowly, making her path, although the way back was blocked with flames behind her. June quaked and was glad that no one could see her. Share this post Link to post
Posted August 8, 2012 Ouijia was sitting in a quiet room, reading a book, a mystery one to be exact. Books are a good way to pass the time, and it held knowledge. His eyes scanned each and every word, flipping the old brown pages carefully. Ouijia was close to finishing this book, but recently, he found some mysterious books in his parent's room, who were now dead. Posted August 8, 2012 Hammy started to slowly walk over to where she had heard the yelling, only because her pet wanted to go check it out. She did gently pick up her hamster friend. She knew that Phanpy had only a few days left, so she sighed as if to get over her fear and started to walk over to the person who yelled. She was holding the little old hamster close though, petting and stroking her so Hammy would be calm. She liked to be called Hammy. The name itself was her idea. Other wanted to call her 'Small Fry' or 'Shy one' or even 'hamsters' but she wouldn't have it. She liked her cute name, though sometimes she would tell others to call her Ayleth, her human name.
