ANSWERED:Freeze Nocturnes in Chosen Form or Both

Recommended Posts

Idea 1:

So, my idea is that when you freeze Nocturnes, you get 3 choices:

-freeze in day form

-freeze in night form

-freeze (will have both forms and change just like the adult)

Is this viable?

Idea 2:

Let frozen hatchlings (and Leetle Trees) gain views and clicks. Or, at least the 1:1:1 ratio. I know this one is weird, but I ask because it seriously bugs me that my Leetle Tree will always have the 0:0:0 ratio.

The reason frozens and adults do not gain more views is because they were causing a server strain years ago. Also, whats the point in them getting these views as they do not age anymore? The whole point in views, unique views, and clicks, were to grow the eggs to adulthood.

Also, the freeze spell doesn't turn them into ice/statues it just prevents them from growing older, aka turning them into immortal children basically. So having them stuck in only one form makes no sense as its part of their natural behavior to switch forms with the rising and setting of the sun.

Can they at least get the 1:1:1 ratio?

Freeze: Permanently prevent the hatchling from maturing into an adult
I think it's flexible enough to allow us to freeze the Nocturnes in a specific form.

They shift forms for a reason, its part of their lives. They 'freeze' during the day to absorb heat which is used for energy during the night which is when they do their hunting and other activities. To prevent them from switching.... The poor things will be starving from being frozen so long or because of lack of energy to hunt with.

I agree with Dolphinsong; it locks them as perpetual kids, but doesn't otherwise alter their behavior. Thus forcing them eternally into one stance or the other doesn't make much sense. (Also I'm not sure how comforting this is, but even if you could set a hatchie to have one pose or the other, the adults would still keep changing and foil any attempts to display all nocturne sprites at once, which I'm assuming is part of your reason for wanting it? xd.png;; If so I sympathize with you, although for slightly different reasons--I try to display dimorphic adults next to each other, and them having dimorphism only at night leaves me feeling weird about having two of the 'same' sprite sitting next to each other during the day)

The 0:0:0 view thing for leetle trees kinda weirded me out a bit as well when I first got mine, but I don't think it's something that really needs to be changed. Not that I'd complain if it was--having a leetle tree that always gains views would be sort of fun, kind of a marker of how long you'd been around for/how many people have visited your scroll (I enjoy looking back at my dragons that existed before the view freeze and seeing how many they racked up before that change ^^). However, while I'd be comfortable with leetle trees gathering views, I don't think frozen hatchlings should be able to do so.

I agree with DolphinSong. I actually didn't know those facts until just now, but they are a logical explanation. Let's use humans as an example. That would be just like keeping us from sleeping, or putting us in a coma.

Freezing them in one state just kind of breaks the way nocturnes work, IMO. It doesn't really make any sense.

Since leetle trees freeze right away, there's no reason for them to have anything other than a 0:0:0 ratio. ^^

I agree with what the others have said. It works fine the way it is now and makes sense too.
