Posted November 24, 2012 (edited) Cora cast Leona a friendly smile when she noticed that the girl seemed worried. When Carlie bumped her arm, the redhead elbowed her back playfully and chuckled as the rest of the group caught up. Only when Dax pointed out that they were near the farm did Cora's mischievous nature melt away into a serious, thoughtful expression. True, they were pretty close. She tilted her nose back slightly to sniff at the wind, and her marking lit up slightly as she adopted the olfactory sense of a different animal. The redhead made a disgusted face and snorted as she shook her head. "Ugh, god they smell gross," she said, exhaling sharply through her nostrils to fend off the scent. Then, with determination, she reached back and yanked her messy ponytail tighter and rolled her shoulders in preparation. "Gonna be a long night, guys." When the gunshot went off, Cora tensed and flexed the muscles in her arms, teeth clenched. Just as Marcos took off for the farm, the animal-print scar along her forearm glowed brightly. A ripple of energy flowed through Cora's body as her features began to twist and change. Her legs became long and muscled as her ankles lengthened out with large, canine paws replacing her feet. Her ribcage expanded outward and her gut tucked in under a layer of taut muscle, and her arms grew broad with hand-like paws tipped in curved, black talons. A wolfish muzzle jutted out from her jaw and donned her with a dark wet nose and almond-shaped eyes that reflected gold. Reddish brown and creamy white fur carpeted her from head to toe, with a coat that was semi-long and patterned similarly to a red border collie. Cora-the-weredog growled and sprang after Marcos, her tail held high as the adrenaline from her change and the prospect of a fight surged through her. With the transformation also came a great sense of loyalty and fierce protectiveness, and as she passed Marcos right after Dax disappeared, she cocked a furry, floppy ear at him and woofed in encouragement before speeding off toward the farm. She knew she would have to be wary of Mr. Whicket in case he mistook her for a Nightmare- which would be easy, giving she looked like a creature from a werewolf story, albeit slightly cuter from the collie origins- but with the influx of Nightmares surrounding the farm, she decided to risk the gunshot in favor of possibly saving the man's life. The Feline-Lizard that Dax had socked in the face spat and hissed at the boys that protected the fallen Mr. Whicket. Cora gave a loud, angry snarl and launched herself at the Feline-Lizard. It had turned at the sound of the canine hybrid, but was not fast enough to elude her as she flew into its side and latched her serrated fangs around its throat. The Nightmare screeched as it was forced onto its side from the impact; Cora grunted as its hind feet snuck under belly and flexed claws into her skin as it tried to pry her off, but her jaws simply locked tighter and she whipped her head from side to side like dog with a ragdoll. Dark, blood-like fluid spurted out over her muzzle and face as she ripped into the creature's neck with her teeth and claws, trying to ignore the gashes along her underside. They weren't severe, thankfully, and Cora continued to maul the Nightmare as if she were a pup protecting her master. Edited November 25, 2012 by Shiny Hazard Sign Share this post Link to post
Posted November 25, 2012 Leona smiled back shakily at Cora, before the girl changed into a wolf. She tilted her head, watching her go, before glancing around her. Two of the boys that were wandering around with them had already run off to help the farmer. The gunshots had died out a few moments ago. That could only mean on thing. But Leona felt helpless. Unlike the others, she could not help much, her ability was not as useful as the others. Time traveling. Of all things she could have got, she got time traveling. She didn't even have a knife or at least something which she could use. Sighing, she ran up towards the farm. At least she could act as a decoy, she could escape quite easily, and maybe take one of the others if they were in trouble... Share this post Link to post
Posted November 28, 2012 “No worries.” Katja said, shrugging as she walked along. She was going to comment how she had been attacked on the way here, but as Dax picked up his pace, she decided against it. A sole nightmare in the forest behind them wasn’t going to cause a problem, was it? Besides, she was pretty sure she had killed it. Her thoughts were still wandering as they reached the rest of the group, and Katja jumped a little as the gunshots went off. Her hand on her chest to stop her racing heart, she fell a couple steps behind as the group began to run towards the farm. “I guess that’s our cue…” She clapped her hands together, and grinned. Showtime. Adrenaline pumping, she sprinted towards the farm. Ignoring any monsters along the way, she ran until she was standing just by Jason. It was too cold out for her liking, she was sure to tire quickly if she fought alone, and she had already seen him use his powers. She needed energy, and fire, fire was a very good source of energy. Gritting her teeth, she stretched her arm out so her palm was facing one of the nearby nightmares, an eerily big armadillo-spider. Trying her best to aim at avoid the nightmare’s armour, she fired of a beam of energy, huffing as the only reaction she got was the armadillo-spider jumping back two feet. Posted November 29, 2012 (edited) Carlie raced after Jason, pulling her knife from her sheath as she ran, putting a strangle hold on the handle. Her hood fell from over her head, her short black hair flowing wildly in the wind and her eyes glinting red in anticipation. Reaching the group of nightmares, she weaved skillfully through to the centre, where Dax, Jason, and Katja had stationed themselves. Dropping to her knees next to Mr. Whicket, she thrust the blade into the soil, lifting the man's head in her hands to check his injury. A small trickle of blood ran over her fingers, but it wasn't anything the farmer wouldn't be able to live through. Laying his head back down, she grasped the handle of her knife and pulled it from the ground, rising to face the oncoming nightmares. The growling face of one of the beasts snapped at her arm, the way a dog would snap its jaws at a flow of water. Its pink eyes seemed to glow in the darkness, making it easy to pinpoint the location of the head. Carlie pulled back, just in time, as the teeth closed around empty air, where her hand had been seconds before. With a snarl of her own, she plunged the blade into its skull, killing the creature instantly. She sneered at its one mistake; getting close. Releasing the knife as it fell with the nightmare, she snatched up the shotgun where it laid unattended next to Mr. Whicket, raising it to her shoulder and releasing a rapid-fire attack on the two bat-like sea turtle creatures, injuring one and shooting the other through to the bone. It wailed as it collapsed, and she narrowed her eyes as she let off one more round, silencing it. Edited November 29, 2012 by Silver_Voices Share this post Link to post
Posted December 22, 2012 Seeing Katja come to stand beside him, Jason smiled at her in greeting. "I didn't think you'd ever show up! Glad you could join in the fun. Here." Holding his hand up, a small mass of fire surged to life in his palm. This he passed over for her to absorb. He didn't fully know if it would burn her but, if it would, he trusted that she wouldn't actually touch it. Still he knew, with the energy taken from it, the flame would die away. That was fine as he could always make another if she needed it. It's what he figured Katja was standing beside him for, after all. However long it took for her to absorb the flame's energy, Jason waited and kept most of his attention focused on the Nightmares surrounding them. Once he felt the cold air caress his palm again, he wiggled his fingers briefly before snatching at the lighter in his pants pocket. In a fluid motion – gained by hours of practice – he flicked open the lighter, sparked a flame to life, and drew it out into a long stream. Clenching his fist around the end and stuffing the lighter back into his pocket, he slammed his arm downward. The whip-like stream cracked in the air, the tip smacking the ground at a Nightmare’s feet and splaying out into nine thinner streaks. The canine-lizard growled at Jason and attempted to step closer. The boy wouldn’t let the Nightmare step forward, keeping it at bay with each flick of his wrist. His fiery whip coiled around one of the canine legs, burning at the dark flesh and making the creature howl. Unfortunately for it, in an attempt to break free, it burned the inside of its mouth when trying to chew through the flames. “Not so smart, are you?” Jason retorted, letting the whip uncoil and recoil around the Nightmare’s neck. Howling in pain again, the canine-lizard reared backwards, pulling away and making Jason stumble a few steps forward. Regaining his balance, the boy dug his heals into the ground and heaved on the fiery whip. He was aiming to pull the Nightmare back down with no avail, not having enough strength to do it by himself. When the creature dropped back to all fours, it lowered its body to the ground and rushed towards him. Yelping faintly in a bit of panic, Jason swept his arm back to disperse his fiery whip and remold it into a sort of spring. Aiming at his feet, he shot the spring downward and pushed himself out of the Nightmare’s way. Of course, he lacked grace and flailed as he tumbled over the canine-lizard’s back. He landed on the ground and rolled to his feet, slightly disoriented but quickly facing his opponent. Straightening out the spring to make it a whip again, the boy flicked his wrist and wrapped the length of flames around the Nightmare’s midsection. “Will you just die already?” To be honest, Dax wasn’t expecting Cora to suddenly attack the feline-lizard facing him. When she did, he was startled and paused long enough to recognize the hybrid form she’d chosen. It was one of the more common forms he had seen her take when battling Nightmares and that might have been due to the fact that it was suited for fighting. No longer startled, he refocused his attention and turned it elsewhere. Katja and Jason were fighting creatures behind him, Carlie was fending off a few others successfully, Cora had taken down his previous target, and Marcos was holding the attention of another Nightmare. Glancing over, he caught sight of the girl Cora and Carlie had been talking too. She appeared slightly at a loss, staying back and waiting for something. Looking over towards Carlie’s target, a wounded bird-turtle, he snapped his fingers and splayed them. Palm up, he acted as if tossing something into the air, dark needles forming and hovering vertically above his fingertips. Dax shot the needles outward towards the injured bird-turtle, piercing the neck, shoulder, and eye. The creature shrieked, thrashing until Dax forced the needles through to the other side of each puncture site. With that, the Nightmare collapsed to the ground and began to ‘melt’ away. Its dark body turned liquid and ooze-like, losing its solid form and blanketing into the ground before seeping through the soil to disappear completely. The sight of it always made Dax frown slightly in nausea. Creatures, Nightmare or not, just shouldn’t decompose in that way. It wasn’t natural. Then again, neither was the existence of Nightmares. Still, it was a sick process in his opinion. By now, the feline-lizard Cora had pounced on was most likely dead as well, chipping away at the number of creatures. Momentarily, he allowed himself to focus on Mr. Whicket instead of the Nightmares. Moving to Carlie’s side, he knelt down as the man began to stir. “I’m getting him out of here. Hopefully, he’ll think he was dreaming and won’t come back outside. We’re on the far end of his farm, right?” The question was half directed towards Carlie and half towards the air before him. Whatever her response, Dax waited long enough for it before pulling a cover of darkness over him and the groaning man. Normally, Dax would not travel with ‘passengers’ in the method he did; his wasn’t exactly strong enough to carry so much weight. Also, he didn’t know what the side effects (if any) would be experienced by others. However, in a serious position such as this, he would push back the nagging concern for a few seconds; long enough to dump the man back into his bed. Of course, when he noticed faint blood smeared onto his fingertips, Dax held back from muttering a curse. How was he going to patch up the man’s small head wound without being caught? If he managed to do so or not, another question formed: what would happen when Mr. Whicket notices? Sighing quietly and rubbing his temples, he felt his blood pulsing in his head and an ache creeping through the back of his skull. Acting quickly, he searched for a hand towel in the man’s bathroom. Finding one, he carefully placed it under the old farmer’s head to help stanch the blood. Mr. Whicket had no wife and so had no one to ask ‘what happened?’ if in search of answers. Hopefully, he would simply dismiss things as accidentally hitting his head against something. Which, in truth, is what happened. Or really, something hit him. No matter, Dax vanished when the man groaned again, stirring more as if he were getting up. ((Huge wall of text, sorry. I'll be updating a few things pertaining to the character lists and such so, please, keep an eye out for those in case I put down something important.)) Share this post Link to post
Posted December 22, 2012 Carlie shoved a creature away with the butt of the rifle, running short of breath as she dodged the shiny barbed tail that plunged down at her again from the darkness. The glint that reflected from Jason's flames a half-second before it strikes was the only warning she received before she jumped away from the poisonous tip. The beast hissed as she struck it, and she attempted to blindly shoot in its general direction, awarding her with a squeal and the skittering of its claws as it retreated. She jumped a bit as Dax slipped over next to her, then released a breath, a wheeze forcing its way out. He knelt down by Mr. Whicket's side as the man started to move. "Yeah, I think so.." she responded to his question. "Be careful, Dax." And with that, both he and the farmer vanished. Not a moment after that, the scorpion tail lashed out again. She let out a gasp and a yelp as she batted the beast away with the shotgun, and stumbled back from it, towards Jason and Katja. When the rat-like creature came into the firelight, she scrambled with the gun, giving herself a second to aim before shooting, the bullet burrowing its way through right between the eyes. Turning, she let off another few rounds at the canine-lizard nightmare Jason was fighting, injuring it in its front leg and spine. "Kill it off, Jason." she said, wide-eyed and breath trembling slightly. Share this post Link to post

Posted December 30, 2012 (edited) “I didn’t think I’d make it either, the way my parents were… Perfect, thanks!” Katja sent Jason a grin, stretching her arm out until she was as close to the flame as she could come without getting burnt. After all, she wasn’t fire proof; she just had some strange vampire-esque ability everybody else probably understood better than she did herself. “This oughta kill you…” Her mark began to glow as she gritted her teeth, again aiming at the armadillo-spider. Trying not to stumble too much, she sent her beam of energy towards the monster, barely noticing the disgusting way it vanished. Jason’s flame had her on an energy high, and she could literally feel her skin tingle with the eagerness to fire off another beam. With a glimt in the eye that probably would disturb some people, the blonde turned around with a jump a lot less graceful than that you would expect of a ballerina. Though both injured, the scorpion-rat and bat-sea-turtle where both still alive, and Katja fired of a beam at each one respectively. With all of the Jason’s flame used up, she was finally calm enough to notice the way the monsters disappeared. “Ugh…” She said, breathing heavily and grimacing. “That’s gross.” Edited December 30, 2012 by coralkiki Share this post Link to post
Posted December 30, 2012 ((This post thingy is getting annoying, I can't see when RPs I have been RPing in have got new posts...)) Yay, Leona felt useless once again. What use was Time-Travel when you couldn't use it to help other people? She looked down at the farmer. At least she could try and help down there. But no. One of the boys, was him name Dax? had disappeared with him. Perfect. Feeling all the more useless, she lent against the farmhouse, watching with a hopeless feeling as the battle unfolded in front of her. There was nothing she could do. Already most of the nightmares lay dead, and the others seemed to be coping just fine. She had to admit, she agreed with Katja when she commented on the nightmares. She nodded, but seemed distracted, with something in the distance. Rose was running down the street now. She hated nightmares. She really hated nightmares. Behind her was the swarm of bird-turtles. They would be cute, if they weren't so deadly... Sharp beaks nipped at her clothes, Rose only managing to stay just in front of them. With her knife in hand, she turned another corner, running slightly faster as a new burst of adrenaline rushed through her. Share this post Link to post

Posted January 20, 2013 (edited) "Kill it off, Jason." The boy didn't glance back at Carlie, remaining focused instead on the now-crippled Nightmare. Unraveling the fiery whip, Jason lashed out again at the Canine-Lizard, flames licking at the creature's face. Letting go of 'handle' end, he motioned with one hand and the burning weapon morphed into a series of sharp rods that forced themselves into the Nightmare's neck. With a painful growl, it collapsed onto the ground and bubbled away in the repulsive manner Jason was not yet used to. "I agree with you, Katja! I kinda want to puke now..." Puffing out his cheeks in slight exaggeration, Jason waved at Carlie in gratitude for her assistance. "Is that all of them?" he asked, glancing around. He spotted Dax reappearing a few feet to Carlie's left while Marcos walked towards them, rolling his arm slightly as if his shoulder had a knot in it. Before he registered anyone's answer, there was a commotion down the street and Jason frowned, raking his fingers through his hair. "What's happening now?" "Swarm of Bird-Turtles chasing someone. Annoying Nightmares in my opinion." Marcos paused, glancing at the group. "Maybe we should go help instead of letting them come to us?" No matter their answer, he was running towards the source of interest. Making certain that he had a decent grip on his pocket knife, the Salvadorian hurried to where the girl was. ((Sorry for the brevity of it. Wrote this after midnight z.z)) Edited January 20, 2013 by Narvix Share this post Link to post
Posted January 28, 2013 Carlie retreated a step back as Jason unfurled his fiery weapon, squinting at the light against the darkness around them. The Nightmare's body melted into the soil, and she released a breath of relief. Yes, she had battled these creatures before, and even bigger groups of them had attacked their gathering, but that didn't eliminate the element of danger that came with this job. Every fiber of her being was on alert, waiting for the next fight, the adrenaline and excitement fending off her illness. Returning Jason's wave, she mimicked his action, turning in a full circle as it seemed they had defeated this particular horde. Dax materialized beside her, and she raised her eyebrows in question. "Is he al-" Her question was cut short by the interruption somewhere in the night, though close by. "What's happening now?" "Swarm of Bird-Turtles chasing someone. Annoying Nightmares in my opinion. Maybe we should go help instead of letting them come to us?" "Time to go, guys." Carlie's lips curled in a smile as she dashed off after Marcos, reloading the shotgun from her pocket ammo as she ran, ready for another skirmish. Share this post Link to post
Posted January 30, 2013 “Swarm?” Katja sent the question at no one in particular, looking around the group to make sure no extra nightmares were hiding. “We like Marcos’ definition of swarm, right?” She rubbed her hands together, slowly moving up to her arms as well in an effort to get rid of her goose bumps. She really wasn’t properly dressed for this hour of day. With Marcos’ departure, the Russian began running, making her way over to the girl. Though she couldn’t properly see who the girl was, she could see that one of the nightmares had moved out of the swarm and was shooting towards her from above. “Hey, Ginger!” Katja yelled, stretching her arm out in front of her, “Duck!” and with that, she fired of a beam, frowning a bit as she just missed the nightmare by a little. Posted January 30, 2013 Rose got the message, and ducked, as a beam scorched over her head. Well, at least she wasn't alone now. She stumbled out of the way, brandishing her knife again. She was getting tired, the energy feeding her force was fading away, leaving the small, scared girl beneath to suffer. She let out a gasp of pain as she realized how much the bird-turtles had caught her. She felt hands steady her, and she looked up. Leona had followed the others, towards the girl. She steadied her as she fell, before glancing around nervously. "I'm gonna get us out of here, OK?" She asked, beginning to concentrate elsewhere. She heard a faint yes, before all sounds of fighting disappeared. Leona looked around. "Well." She started. Share this post Link to post

Personally, I prefer rp'ing in the others section, since it makes me take a little more pride in my writing. I think Silver has a point, the plot has kinda hit a stand still. What if they all finish the battle and head home for the night? WIth that we can skip til morning, and have something happen during the day. Or maybe they stumble accross something on the way? We were talking about the people who go missing turning into nightmares, weren't we? Maybe they stumble across a clue for that. Or they save someone who's about to go missing. Go ahead and throw out some ideas, give input on someone's ideas, and/or provide alternatives/combinations. I'm going to copy this post into the OOC so that it can get a bump and we can take the discussion there. I'm also open to any suggestions in organization or content for the RP/OOC threads. I'll have the character lists updated and I'm considering making an ad for the thread in an attempt to get more RPers. About the semi-lit thing, I don't know how to bring it down any further. Posted February 23, 2013 (edited) One moment, the girl was there and, in the next, she wasn't. Both the girl fleeing from the Turtle-Bird Nightmares and the quieter girl Cora had practically run over were gone; simply vanished. One of their abilities? He shook his head, glancing around and making an estimate of how many of the annoying Nightmares there were. "Hey, Jason? Think you can scorch a handful in one go?" "Depends on how many I actually hit..." Jason paused, pulling out his lighter and stroking the igniter a few times before a flame sparked to life. Drawing from it, he swept his hand over the flame, carrying it onto his palm. It was small but all that he needed. Bringing his hand close to his lips, he gave one quick blow on the flame and it erupted into a larger stream of fire. Before it could extend to far, the fire manipulator flicked up his hand and motioned across his torso, molding the fiery stream into a sort of barrier. This, he shoved towards the oncoming Turtle-Birds. "Okay, I wanna suggest we leave now. That won't hold very long and it won't get rid of them all." Marcos agreed, nodding his head and motioning for everyone to leave. "Hey! We'll catch each other tomorrow right? Anyone gonna head out again?" He asked more for the convenience of possibly grouping up for the next night. If no one else would come, he'd stay home since his ability prevented him from being strong on his own. As he made way for his home, he kept his senses alert, feeling to his power's range for any Nightmares that could attack him. He also kept part of his attention on the others, making sure they were alright until they fell out of his range. Reaching his house, he snuck back in through his window. He kept his light off as he discarded his street clothes into a hamper that rested against the foot of his bed frame, favoring a pair of old P.E. shorts to sleep in. Exhaustion was settling in his limbs as adrenaline vacated his body, causing a yawn to empty out his lungs. He had no doubt that he'd end up sleeping in a bit so he set his alarm for a bit later than usual. Finally, with a sigh, he rolled over to his side and fell asleep. --- Alarm buzzing, Dax sat up and swung his legs over the side of his bed. His eyes felt sticky and so he rubbed them, clearing away sleep. As he ruffled his hair, the boy left his room to clean up and start getting ready for class. He could smell breakfast cooking, the aroma of eggs and hash browns drifting upstairs. It made his mouth faintly water and his stomach began to grumble. Once dressed, Dax headed down to the kitchen where his dad was putting finished over-easy eggs onto a plate beside hash browns. There were two others similar to the one in the man's hands. "Looks good." "Thanks. Your mother's in her room. Let her know food's ready." Dax did so and returned to take his seat at the table, eating his breakfast and then heading out the door with his school bag. On his skateboard, he figured he could arrive to school with a few minutes to spare before the first bell rang. At any rate, he didn't plan on being late for class. He was used to the old roads, the rough concrete splintering in a plethora of cracks here or there and causing his travel to be somewhat bumpy. No matter. He arrived on campus, headed to his first class, and suffered through the lecture. Come the start of second period, students were ushered to the gym for an assembly, sorted out by school year. Seniors had the section at the front and to the left with Juniors across from them. Beside the older students, Sophomores took up that section. Finally, Freshmen sat on the other side next to the Juniors. Wonder what the assembly would hold? Most likely something about Spirit Week... "Good morning students! I hope you all had a wonderful summer! I wish to welcome you back for another great year at South Higgins High!" The principal, a kindly looking woman in her forties with graying brown hair and dark eyes, stood in the center of the floor. A microphone was held in her right hand, hardly a few inches from her lips as she spoke excitedly. Today, I wish to introduce to you, your Student Body classmates within each grade that you voted for at the end of last year! First up, Freshmen!" Dax wasn't interested in knowing who won the votes and so decided to tune out the names Ms. Aklo listed off. ((Student Bodies will be NPC. Posted March 5, 2013 ((Lets see if this will work...)) Leona looked down at the girl beside her - the poor thing was shivering violently. She felt a pang of sympathy, and guessed a... mild nausea was rushing through her body. She patted her on the shoulder, remembering her own first travel. Rose looked up at the slightly older teenage with fear. "What the did you do?" She cried, backing away slightly. Before she knew what was going on, her feet and been swept from under her, and she lay on the grass, scowling. She looked upwards at Leona, shielding her eyes from the sun, which indicated it was around noon. Leona sighed. "Something I probably shouldn't have done." She replied, cringing at the thought of the consequences. "So, as you probably know, I'm like you. I have some sort of... talent. But mine is probably more drastic then others. I can time travel, I suppose you'd say." Rose shook her head, not quite understanding what Leona was saying. "So why shouldn't you time travel? All you have to do is take us back a little while after when we left..." She paused, frowning. "Can't you?" "Uhhhhh... Slight problem with that..." Leona said, scratching her head nervously. Rose's face was blank for a moment, letting the information sink in, before her head found her hands, and she looked up at the girl. "I only said I'd get us out of there. I never said we could go back whenever we wanted..." Leona persisted, hoping not to have turned Rose against her. "Anyway, exploring the past is fun..." She tried, without cheerfulness. She sighed again, looking down and offering her hand. "The least we can do is find out where- or should I say when -we are." Rose groaned, and took the offered hand, allowing herself to be pulled out of the mud. She looked around her, examining the hill with a new interest, before walking off in a completely random direction. Leona followed, with only a moments hesitation. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 9, 2013 ((Here! Rushed and not yet proof-read, but I wanted it up.)) “Katja, you’re gonna be late!” Katja groaned as her cousin rather rudely hammered at the door. “Kat, seriously, get out of bed, your alarm rang almost half an hour ago!” “What?!” Somewhat panicked, Katja kicked of her duvet and began searching for what to wear, “Why didn’t you wake me sooner?!” Rummaging through her closet, she grabbed a pair of shorts and a shirt, before sprinting into the bathroom in an effort to break her record of short showers. Her hair was still wet as she braided it, and the make-up of the day was a lot simpler than usual. But at least she was presentable. Grabbing her school bag and some extra fruit that could serve for breakfast when she reached campus, Katja called out a greeting and hurried out the door. She grabbed her bike, and began pedaling towards school, relaxing slightly as she saw other students arriving as well. She might even have time to eat that fruit she’d brought… No such luck. The bell rang, and Katja hurried to the science class room, along with all the other sophomores. She did what she usually did in this class; she drew, trying her best to keep her stomach from complaining too loudly. Finally, the bell rang, and along with the other students, Katja was ushered to the gym. “I was hoping to eat my breakfast…” Katja sighed, rolling her eyes toward the person she was just about to sit down besides. “It’ll have to wait, I guess.” She smiled slightly and shut up just in time for the principal to start talking. Posted March 9, 2013 Leona tilted her head, looking at the town bellow. It looked strangely like South Higgins. In fact, she could see the school and everything. She staggered backwards, falling onto the grass on the hill. Rose looked down at her questioningly, before looking upwards, her eyes widening in amazement. "That's... South Higgins..." She muttered, sitting down beside Leona. "It sure is." Leona growled, looking towards the younger teenager. "So we now know where we are. But when are we?" Rose shrugged. "We could just pick up a newspaper or something...?" "No, we can't get too close. We don't know how close to the future we are. Anyway, South Higgins doesn't get that many visitors, and if this is something like a few years ago, people might start asking why they saw us how we are now then." Leona paused for breath. "In short, we can't risk people seeing us. At least, not until we're sure of when we are." Share this post Link to post
