I used to read them when I was child... So nostalgic! My favourite one was the one with the man and his son who wanted to sell his donkey, the meaning was "anyone with his style", so true.

I once had a book of these Fables, it was a text book I think. I got to read the story on one side, then other other there was space for me to write the title and draw a picture. I loved all of them. They were so cool to read.

Some of my favorites are:

The Bat the Birds and the Beasts, I think I liked drawing the picture, which is why I like it so much.

The Dove and the Ant, such a sweet fable

The Bat and the Weasels, the bat really was cleaver in this one

The Belly and the Members, I liked how they personified the different members of the body

The last one I cant' seem to find the name, it's about two beast, foxes I think, fighting over something, and while the are some one else comes and takes the prize.

Quite frankly, I love all the ones I read. Life-changing lessons they bring us. Although admittedly, a few of them are bosh. Like the story about the frog who tied himself with a rat and jumped into the stream. He hoped that the rat would die. But then the heron found the dead rat and well, ate it as well as the frog as it was unable to escape (being tied).

I don't understand that. Also, if there may be, what lesson is there?
