Posted June 18, 2012 I have a Notepad containing all of my Caveborn Dragons (and a listed mate to make a purebred offspring) and I have an unfinished Purple dragon table to keep track of all of the generations in my purebred line. But, all in all, I tend to forget to add to those, so they become obsolete after a while. Share this post Link to post
Posted June 18, 2012 I've never been able to use a spreadsheet reliably, but I do have this lineage chart that I threw together in Paint to keep a breeding project on track. I've used the 5-generation template for a couple lineages, actually. Google Image Search is your friend. Share this post Link to post
Posted June 18, 2012 I have one, but it's a bit unorganized. I use it keep track of my major dragons and what mates and children they have. I don't have a screenshot. Share this post Link to post
Posted June 19, 2012 I don't have a spreadsheet, but I'm starting to keep track of my dragons and any projects on a free wordpress blog. I'm trying to organize it, but I haven't worked on it in a couple of days. Share this post Link to post
Posted June 19, 2012 I don't have one either. I never really learned how to make a spread sheet either ^^; I usually go Ctrl+Clicking almost every dragon on my scroll every other day to check when things have changed ^^;; Share this post Link to post
Posted June 20, 2012 I don't have a spreadsheet, but I have a word document for my even-generation purebred whiptail lineage. It could be more organized in other formats, but it works. It includes name, reason for name if there is one, gender, generation, if the dragon has a mate yet, pairings, dates of breedings, if the dragon is described, and a link to each dragon's view page. Posted June 20, 2012 Yep, I keep records of IOU's, breedings, and lineages. Share this post Link to post

Posted June 20, 2012 That is like, a jumble of stuff, lol. I know the G stuff is the rows of stuff, and the codes are the random numbers/letters, but the other stuff. o.0 Share this post Link to post
Posted June 20, 2012 (edited) talk about a huge wall of text Flake, that hurts my head to read! Lol, I remember keeping a journal for data and what not awhile back though, when i look back on it i remember getting so excited for some of my hatchies to grow. Posted June 21, 2012 MX = mother of X in previous G, FX = father of X in previous G, X = generation identity(so I can say F5 and stuff) E = end of branch, T! = thuwed, D! = dead. Just if you wanted to know Share this post Link to post
Posted June 30, 2012 (edited) Not spreadsheets yet, no. But I did figure out a name coding system that allows me to know at first glance whether a dragon is an even gen or not, and I have the inbred ones delineated as well. Basically, I numbered all of my breeds so I could sort them by Name, and each number has a letter by it. For instance, look at my 06a Oreo Pride hatchling. 06's are all pygmies and the "a" refers to the fact that it's a first gen. Here's an example of a 4th even gen Water Walker: 14d Really Praise. A=1, so D=4. It's simple enough once you get your head around it. By comparison, 45x Dorkface Feather is a white inbred dragon. Any dragon with an "x" after its number means it's inbred. Any dragon with a "z" by its number means it's not inbred, but it's also not even. Edited June 30, 2012 by lastcrazyhorn Share this post Link to post
