Code Unmasking for Named Dragons

Recommended Posts

If there was already a thread made for this suggestion, I'm really sorry.

As we know, when we have an unnamed dragon, we see them on the /dragons/ page as:

Image, then the Code, Whether its an Egg/Hatchling/Adult, then its Actions, then finally its view stats.

However, when you name it, it replaces the 4/5 digit code with its name.

I'm just wondering if its possible to have this optional "on/off code switch" that allows us to make our /dragons/ page show all the dragons as their codes, then you can turn it off and the names will appear again.

It will only affect your own /dragons/ page and no one else will see if you have it on or off.

Basically like a "Hide Adults" option, but instead it is a "Hide Names" option.

Would people be agreeable to this? Let me know your suggestions and complaints happy.gif.

There are times when I remember a code instead of a name (ironically after I've named something to try and remember it better) and sometimes I just like to browse codes to see cool codes on my dragons, so I'd find this useful. I think we had a suggestion like this, but it was a total switch. Being able to see what you wanted when could be nice.

I would like the option to switch back and forth between codes and names. I have many dragons who have cool codes, but since all my dragons are named I rarely see them. This would be a handy way to see all their codes at once instead of clicking each dragon to view them.

I rather like this idea as well. I collect "cute/cool/etc" codes and would like to be able to switch back in forth between codes and names.

Definitely agree with Sock. I have so many dragons that I remember by code rather than name that's it ridiculous. I got to the point where I was just naming my dragons based on their codes for awhile. (Then I got tired of that.)

Still, I like this idea a lot, especially since it would only effect your own dragon's pages and no one else's.

I name my dragons based on the code, so the names are either the code or the code with some vowels added to make it pronounceable. x3 Since others think it would be a cool thing to have I won't vote against it. It would be optional, after all.

I agree, I'd really like this added. I want to see what awesome codes I have laying around.

It'd be fine with me if this were an option. I write down all my dragons and their codes though, so I don't really NEED this to know my codes.

One solution is to just hold your mouse over the dragon. The code is at the end of the URL in the little bar at the bottom of the page. =3 No clicking, but it is a touch more time consuming since you need to do it to every dragon. Just something for now or if TJ decides not to do this.

This would be nice, if there was an option to turn it on/off. *supports*

I would like to have this. But maybe also an option to show both?

Would be helpful, good idea. ^^

You mean like, a name next to the code? That would also be really helpful.

I'm pretty sure name+code won't fit in the space available, especially with the people who give near max length names.

Ditto. All my dragons are in a spreadsheet but it would be neat to have the option.
