Posted June 9, 2012 Afterglow! With regard to other species, I'd think we'd see this not in other Lumina x ___ pairings, but in other Turp x ____ pairings, since it's the Turp oil. But I'm guessing it's a unique combination of Turp oil + Lumina OCD? Share this post Link to post
Posted June 9, 2012 Hope it stays, and that it gives birth to little alt hatchies, I need to collect sprites! Share this post Link to post
Posted June 9, 2012 Lmao this is so cool Just got a Lumina from Lumina x Turp, hoping there is a chance that in somehow it will be-a naked alt-after all it got traumatized in the egg with the turp oil ;D Share this post Link to post
Posted June 9, 2012 EPIC! I just tried with one, and sadly they werent interested in each other. Cool trick, though. Share this post Link to post
Posted June 9, 2012 Bred 6, 4 Lumina eggs, 2 refusals. Can't wait to see what happens next. Share this post Link to post
Posted June 9, 2012 (edited) What I can't stop thinking about is, if their scales might grow back in a slightly different shade of color, since their descrition states that, "...their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last.". Would be a nice effect.... Edited June 9, 2012 by Nyastara Share this post Link to post
Posted June 9, 2012 (edited) Mine aren't tan http://dragcave.net/lineage/OIKb9 http://dragcave.net/lineage/43bmN http://dragcave.net/lineage/2Jjsv must have just been "coded" might mess up my black x white plans though if it's by scroll- like Snowangels-- I lose again Edited June 9, 2012 by dragonpuck Share this post Link to post

I bred all on mine and 3 of my males remained with their usual color while the others changed. Edited June 9, 2012 by Nyastara Share this post Link to post
Posted June 9, 2012 (edited) Now this is a cool effect. I wonder if Luminas will have a boost in people catching them now, hopefully not though 'cause I want to hoard em all! =P I can understand if the change is temporary, and I think I prefer it being that way as well. Makes these dragons a little-- well, a lot more unique. I imagine them being like, "Oh god, I'm never going to do THAT again." How embarrassing it must be to walk around and everyone knows what you just bred with. Edited June 9, 2012 by Nine Share this post Link to post

Posted June 10, 2012 I agree with the above. My two Lumina that I bred last week to Turps did not change, but today they did, so I think it's just a recent thing. Share this post Link to post
Posted June 10, 2012 This is so neat. I wonder how long they will be naked, and if the Turps will change other breeds as well. Share this post Link to post

How embarrassing it must be to walk around and everyone knows what you just bred with. Of course, they'll only be embarrassed until they realize that their new scales are even more gorgeous and then they'll be ambushing those Turpentines every chance they get. I think it would be amazing if there was a third sprite after the "tanning" to show how their scales grow back even more beautiful. Then we could breed those with unchanged Luminas to make some pretty unique lineages. But I do think that your guess is probably correct and now people will be after them even more. I'm glad I started hording early! =) Share this post Link to post
Posted June 10, 2012 Mine aren't tan I think this alt-change just started as no one has mentioned this before now. Also, as stated by others, I think the Luminas change back after a while. Share this post Link to post

Posted June 10, 2012 Great... now I have to wait for my other two eggs to hatch before i can try this... Share this post Link to post
Posted June 10, 2012 (edited) Wow, this is relly cool!!! I love the tan sprites! These will make such pretty lineages... Edit: And... Just realized that they don't stay tan in the lineage... Edited June 10, 2012 by SoulFang Share this post Link to post
Posted June 10, 2012 these are so pretty, i kinda hope they stay! they could make a real checkered lineage! how cool would that be Share this post Link to post
Posted June 10, 2012 These are so cool! Hope they're permanent! I wish that they showed up tan on lineage view, though. Share this post Link to post
Posted June 10, 2012 Remember what their breed description states, they do regrow their scales. So I highly doubt they are permemently nakid, just unsure how long it takes for them to regrow their scales. Share this post Link to post
Posted June 10, 2012 (edited) They appear to show up properly in their tan color on lineage pages now. At least they do for me. Apologizes if this was posted. http://dragcave.net/lineage/Lc2mq Edited June 10, 2012 by Nine Share this post Link to post

Apologizes if this was posted. http://dragcave.net/lineage/Lc2mq I love this, because even if it's temporary, we can make lineages based on both colors and just keep breeding the ones we want to stay tan.
