Hey, I get that. As I mentioned, I used to be iron man, and my goals were a M/F CB of every applicable species, and like you, hybrids of only 2G. unfortunately, I've not been around for many holiday releases, so I've given up on that dream, but I will keep you in mind if I get a new CB gemshard on the right day. Do I rant/whine too much on what's mainly a pixel-game forum? .... Oh well.

My mom and I are in a Housing program that helps pay our rent, qualifying primarily because of my SMI. We've been in this same program for over a decade now. I do not want anything to change. Me and change do not get along well at all. But today I was told I'm among a handful of clients chosen to be referred to the HUD Housing program, basically transferring from one program to a completely different program (that supposedly is very similar...). Honestly I'm freaking out, and my mom doesn't seem to get it but this is a Big Deal! Transferring to the HUD program would require lots of new paperwork, new home inspections, new rental calculations (where they calculate how much of the rent we are responsible for), *mandatory* orientations at a place across town (very concerned about my mom's leg in that instance, she's still not very mobile), and a complete lack of Housing Case Management support. It's been pointed out to me that I'll still have all my existing therapy/peer support/etc from the behavior health place I go to, but I won't have a dedicated Housing Case Manager and that kind of makes me nervous. 

.... And if I'm being totally honest, a part of me just doesn't want to cut ties with this specific program because it's a part of where I used to work. I worked there for 12 years, until layoffs due to the pandemic, I haven't worked there for a little over a year now but I'm still sorta connected to the organization through their Housing program and a part of me feels like this would be the final step in cutting all ties to an organization I've spent the majority of my adult-life with. 

Most of today was spent upset and frantically calling everyone because I kept getting conflicting information about the details of this whole thing, thankfully it was finally confirmed that this is not mandatory, I *can* choose to stay with our current housing program... But in the long run it may be better to make the switch. I have to decide by Monday because Tuesday is the first mandatory orientation and I just don't know.

You have a weekend to decide! It can help to look at things in the morning when we've had a bit of time to relax and can look at it more objectively.   *hugs* whatever choice you make, will be the right one in the end.

Getting real sick and tired of people saying "Free" in the trading section, only to actively decline offers. And not the circumstance if they accept another offer, that's a completely different message, usually claiming to be a cancelation. That message is fine. It usually means another offered first and the trade host went with a first come first serve. Perfectly understandable and completely fair. 

 

What's NOT fair is claiming that your eggs are free, and then declining the offer made. If it's free its free. This isn't the first time it's happened to me either. It's probably happened to many people. If the understanding of 'free' isn't clear then maybe there should be a trading guide explaining terms somewhere. Because it seems a LOT of people don't understand what the term "free" means. 

 

If you want something specific, then mention what you want in the "Want" bar. that is what it's there for. You're looking for a CB Nebula? A checker Chrono with Heart-Stealing? A 2G Prize? Something random, but rare? Specify!!! Don't expect people to read your mind and guess what you want, and don't claim something is free when it isn't!!

 

Ugh, I hate ranting like this, but I needed to get that out.

Seriously, what is with Clerith fans? Well, 'some' Clerith fans. There are many I've met that are pretty chill and awesome people. The ones I can't stand and who I like to call Toxic. 

 

No, Toxic shippers, Clerith is NOT cannon, no matter how much you want it to be. CloTi isn't cannon either. Square Enix will never announce which is cannon. Why? Because confirming one will alienate the other pairing fanbase. They love the debates. They say it's obvious, but there is obvious signs with both. And honestly, I'm okay with that. Yes, I'm Pro CloTi, but I can easily see Clerith working and find it charming. They are cute together.

 

But do the toxic ones agree with that? Oh no no no nooooooOOOOOoooo they do not. It's Clerith and only Clerith, and it's obvious, and cannon and if you disagree then you're stupid and an Aerith Hater!

 

I really really REALLY don't understand that twisted mentality. It's like they didn't read what was written. And they don't understand how a love triangle works. Yes, he has feelings for Aerith, and for Tifa. And the boy is a little bit confused as to who he even is at this point! Did none of these people play the original? Warning, you won't like what happens in the Forgotten City when they get there.

 

What's even worse is they bash a completely innocent character just for existing. Claiming that he was created to be a boyfriend for Aerith before Cloud, thus making Crisis Core a garbage game. Hey, Toxic Clerith fans, news flash! Zack Fair existed in the original game too! He gave his life so that Cloud could live! Without Zack and his efforts, then Cloud would have either died or been stuck in a lab! 

 

So quit bashing Zack, and quit bashing other fans for their opinions. Your 'cannon' pairing is no more cannon than other's so stop trying to glorify it as such and parade around like you're superior. Heck, they even threw in a bit of Clephiroth in the remake which didn't exist in the original! I'm not a big fan of that myself, but at least I can respect it for those that do! Why can't you be civil about a fictional pairing?! You like Clerith? Cool! I like, CloTi, great! We don't agree? That's fine! Have a nice day! - See? How freaking hard is that?!

I'm not on Facebook much anymore but I noticed that I had an unread message from my ex, I avoided reading it for awhile but finally just did. Not sure I should have. A part of me just wants to completely ignore the whole thing and forget I I even read it, it's been well over 10 years and *now* she messages to apologize for how she handled our breakup?? Seriously?? Just... No. Too little way too late. I literally spent years trying to get over her, it was the worst most devastating breakup I've ever had and I don't give a crap that she's apparently realized how horrible it was and that maybe she was wrong and that maybe those *bleeping people* were not good for her and she shouldn't have listened to them! I don't care what she's doing now and I don't want anything to do with her. I have no want to message her back, at all. I don't want to talk to her. But that doesn't mean my mind will shut up about it. My mind seems to be way too good at focusing on memories and even if I do absolutely nothing about this message it seems like I'll be dealing with it mentally for awhile.

My glasses are old and have become ill-fitted and started to give me chafing wounds in some places. I told my mom I plan on getting new ones.

I should have known better than to tell her. Should just have gone and gotten it done on my own without saying anything. Just show up one day with brand new glasses and take the bellyaching about how she loved my old glasses and shouldn't have switched them out, because heck knows she's not going to just take my word for that they've become warped and don't fit anymore. At least that'd been better than take the same jab "it's because you've gotten fat" four times in the same 3-minute conversation. Sure mom, my 8-year old glasses becoming warped and scratched up has nothing to do with the fact that I've (stupidly I admit)  fallen asleep with them on several times.

And no, I am specifically not going to pick out the same pair as yours.

Shame on me for thinking we could have made it a fun thing to go together to pick out the new ones.

I hate that I have to catch dragons that are already in my scroll just to complete the encyclopedia. That includes rares like cheese dragons and holiday-exclusive eggs... even though I've already got a lot of them. Visiting clicksites help, but it feels like a chore at times, especially given how many catches it takes just for one entry to be fully filled out. I've been playing since 2010, took a hiatus for a few years, and came back to an entirely new dragcave. While this is a great addition, and I appreciate other new updates like the marketplace, especially since I don't have to use the IRC just to hope I can snatch an egg that a user promised me from the AP before another person grabs it anymore... idk. Just bothers me. Same with trading. Sometimes, no matter what I offer, the other person declines even if it meets the criteria. This can go on for days at a time. It feels anti-climatic, to go out of my way to breed a pair or lurk in order to catch whatever they were looking for.

 

Sorry if this sounds entitled. I do hope newer users benefit from these changes, regardless of how I feel about them. It's strange to realize I've been playing long enough to remember when frills were retired.

have you tried the Encyclopedia Helpers thread?  there's a huge spreadsheet with all the dragons, and you can just click on the link (which is a lineage link), and then click on the sprite to view it.  i've un-greyed all the sprites in my Encyclopedia that way.  People will also post nekkid Luminas, glowy Aeons and Glysteres, and other dragons that have different forms.

I had a memory flood, some bad, some good. Still struggling to sleep several hours later. My memory is usually incredibly foggy for anything not in the past few years, but tonight it seems to be working overtime. I want it to stop. Especially the bad. I'm trying to fix my sleep schedule, not mess it up further. Cat is helping a little bit but this may be another accidental all nighter.

Is it really so hard to follow the rules? Are you honestly 'THAT' lazy? all it takes is to put an emoji to let others know you claimed it. I don't care who it was. Be courteous to others so they don't feel discouraged because they think the gift is still there. I like gifting, and I don't  care who claims the gifts I offer, but please, don't be ignorant of others around you. just post a single simple emoji. a smile or a heart or a pikachu, ANYTHING!

Chaya (the Gaia) keeps getting no eggs with three different mates (Ke'Maro, Aso, and Astrapi) since she grew up on September 12, 2023.  and i've been using fertility on her and breeding her almost weekly.

(also, why did it take forever (okay, only 4 minutes) to get my dragon images posted in there? *sigh*)
