Word got around to the common breeds that the elite breeds have Purples assist them with their fertility and provide mate counseling. As it has been throughout history, the lower classes imitate the nobility class. So now alldragon breeds want a Purple at their mating (preferably a female purple). This has put so much demand on Purples that they have to request other Purples to boost their fertility, because they don't have enough magic for both themselves and their scheduled appointments.

 

Why don't we have two-headed dragons with Ice affinities?

Clearly Dragon Cave is meant for mature, classy, sophisticated adults. Mere children could never fully contemplate nor appreciate the deep, meaningful complexities of this world in which you raise powerful, beautiful, intelligent creatures to be your own personal army of unrestrained destruction. Or, you know, selling their offspring for fun and profit. Either way, it's too much responsibility for tiny humans to handle.

You're doing it wrong. The more trade rejections you get, the better you are at the game. Which means I'm the best.

 

Why do we only get a week to breed our holiday dragons? Why not let them produce eggs all year month long?

Because they're seasonal dragons. They have to be 'in season' to breed true. It's a limited time frame. The planet has to be at just the right angle.

It's a small dragon with a very high metabolism that eats enough food to match its body weight, like a shew. Thus pig + me. 

Note: Small is a relative term in DC. Olive dragons are the size of sheep.

They need about 1,800 views to hatch unless they've only got a couple of days left, and that varies by breed. Zyus can be lazy stubborn lil beasties that love their shell and don't want to save the world.

Staterae eggs are produced by magic, not mating. You have to feed them light and air mana gathered from wild Stratos dragons.
