it's a lack of Object Permanence - if you can't see it, it's really gone.  so that's why you can't look at your egg when it's in the mist - it's not really there.  it reappears when the mist is dispelled, so there's that.

 

why can i only have one scroll?

Because two causes the knowledge loving dragons like the Laboradorites, Sophos Cantormaris, and Magis to descend upon you and steal it. You lose all claim to any dragons you raised, because it's like a car title. Galsreim humans write on walls and trees which are harder, but not impossible for dragons to steal. Occasionally, an unwary Stone dragon gets graffitied.

 

Why are Carmine Wyverns so ugly?

It is their natural defence mechanism to be unappealing to humans so less of their eggs get kidnapped.

 

Where’d all the other eggs go?

The Mistra and Guardian dragons hid them all until they decide if the new dragons are dangerous to the other eggs or not. When the world is full of egg layers, there are always creatures that eat eggs. The Mistras and Guardian want to make sure the new thing in the Cave is not one of those things.

 

How can Boreals keep causing avalanches? Wouldn't their calls make a place safer from avalanches?

You need a flock of chickens to sit on them and keep them warm. That's why it's so hard to find a chicken egg in the Cave. Everyone is grabbing them all.

 

Why are Crystallines so unfriendly?  I thought crystals channeled positive energy.

They channel positive energy around by absorbing the negative, so they themselves are mean.

Why don't my Easter basket eggs hatch?

It took you too long to find them. Winter dragons resent spring, spring festivals, and warmer weather. They go around and chill the Easter eggs to try to stop spring from arriving That keeps the eggs from hatching.

 

Pillow dragons look like Chia Pets. Can I get a green one?

Use Custom Sort to surround it with four Antarean hatchlings. The reflected light fromtheir scales will toast it to a nice shade of brown.

What's wrong with the hatchling I got from breeding my Ridgewing to my Nebula? It's all blurry and messed up.

Your hatchling must have gotten into your food cupboard and ate all of your popping candy because now it is the living embodiment of it. Best to send it back to the retailer at this point - they'll know what to do with it. Hope you bought warranty!

Can I breed my dragons to another scroll’s?

You just need to fill out the paperwork. It's 30 pages, and there's a two-week quaratine peroid after your dragons are transferred. Any eggs/hatchlings produced during this time automatically belong to the scroll owner.

 

Why are Black Teas pink?

In the fields they are grown in, Black Teas are originally Black. TJ has to blanch them for preparation for the cave, which turns them Pink and makes them smell nice (if you put your nose close enough to the screen.)
