Have you tried feeding your dragons with chickens? Just kill some of those on your scroll (or raise them first) and offer them to your dragons, and they shouls breed alright.

Chickens are already perpetually laying eggs so they won’t ever be interested even if we can. They’re just smart enough to keep them hidden.
