Ok, after tridymite replied to my posting with her funny image, I got inspired and tried to create my own "Dino Cave badge with cream and cherry on top".

It's my opinion that the whole Dinocave thing can't be a prank. The emails were probably sent out because TJ was buying time to finish the site. Does anyone agree? ~leaf

MOST breedable pet sites do the "pets are a combination of the parent's hex colors" so I'm not sure why people are treating is as "TJ's best idea ever" It's a very common mechanic that most people already know about or use.

TJ posted a few pages back. It started life as just a prank but now he's looking into making it into a real site.
