Posted March 1, 2012 (edited) ~Empire of Dying Embers~ Username: SubtleStarlight34 Name: Ashriani "Ash" Blake Age: 18 Country: Phoenix Rank: Soldier Personality: Ashriani is loyal to a fault. She will stick up for her country and will sway only in the most extreme of circumstances. However, beyond that, she is light-hearted and good-natured, with a grin for anyone who has enough time. She also loves to hang around friends, and a good laugh every now and again. History: Ash was an only child in a middle-class family in one of the coastal cities. There, she grew up living life as if she was a boy. She was trained under her a father who had been a great war veteran in his time, and knew the basic principles of sword fighting and archery. However, she seemed to take more to archery and the sword was quickly abandoned. Unfortunately, an accident took her father away a week after she had received Ignus and her mother, unable to support them both, sent her away to the Academy to train when she was only 12. Once at the academy, she was immediately put into training with the other young trainees. As she and Ignus grew side by side there, Ash developed a strong and near unbreakable loyalty to her country as well as several new skills with her bow and basic defense with a dagger. She was finally released six years later on her eighteenth birthday, assigned to a patrol watch in the mountains as an official soldier of battle. Appearance: Marina Other: Creature Name: Ignus Appearance: Ignus Personality: Ignus is loyal to Ash, with a fierce protectiveness over his rider. He doesn't hate the dragons, but he will defend his country and his fellow fire-birds. However, he is wise after so many lives and is no longer as head-strong as he used to be. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Username: Willow Name: Emory Rae Age: 16 Country: Pheonix Rank: Trainee Personality: Emory is more of a quiet person. He has learned to hide his emotions, but that doesn't mean he doesn't feel them. However, once he can trust someone not to leave him, he will open up to them. He tries not to speak to those he's around, but he will lash out at you if you have said/done something to hurt someone he loves. He keeps to himself. History: When Emory was a little boy, his father went off to war and Emory was put in charge of his mother and his little sister. As time went on, his father never came home from the war. Not alive, at least. Emory's mother left to go to a wealthy relative's and beg for money, but she never returned either. That left young Emory alone to take care of his little sister, who had come down with a terrible cold. For a while everything was fine, until the money his mother had left for them ran out. Emory tried to find a job, but no one would employ a child. Without money for food or medicine, Emory's sister was unable to battle the cold, and she died. Lucky for Emory, the day after she died was his birthday, and he would be old enough to get a Pheonix and start his training. Lucky for Emory. Appearance: He is tall and has a thin, but muscular build. With black hair and eyes like saphires, his appearance is striking. He has a 4 inch scar on his back, going down diagonally from his left shoulder. Other: He wants peace, but he also wants revenge. His mind is torn, but he's trying to keep it together so that he may be clear headed for the war. If that's possible. Creature Name: Maerkury Appearance: Maerkury has a slender body. Her feathers have a slight blue tint to them, much like the blue you get when you burn newspaper in your fireplace. If there was one word that could describe her, it would be 'elegant'. Personality: Maerkury is calm, for the most part. She does get enraged rather easily though, especially when someone hurts Emory or brings up something about his past that upsets him. Since Emory has a hard time around people, Maerkury tries to comfort him and help him open up. So far, only she knows the secrets of his past. Unlike Emory, she is very social. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Username: Azteck Name: Aieren Reilds (air-en reeh-eld) Age: 17 Country: Phoenix Rank: Trainee Personality: Aieren is outgoing and stubborn. She will fight to the death for her friends or her Phoenix. She can appear rude at times, but it only means that she either likes you or she has just met you. History: Azteck bonded with her Phoenix almost instantly. She spent every waking moment with it. Everything was fine until one cloudy day. Aierens family was killed in a fire while she was out. Aieren has blamed herself ever since because she may have left a fire going nearby. Appearance: Aieren has short dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. The tip of every hair on her head it silver from being scorched while trying to get her family out. She wears a leather jacket and leather boots. Other: Creature Name: Denar Appearance: Denar is a light orange with red streaked feathers. The feathers on his head are tipped silver and they fade to orange as they go down his long slender neck. He has a long body and long legs. The feathers on his tail are tinted a green color with streaks of red. Personality: Denar has almost the same personality as Aieren but he is shy at times. He wants to win the war and bring peace. He will kill for Aieren and her friends if he has to, but would prefer to defend rather than attack. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Username: Lore_Master Name: Loren Wren Age: 17 Country: Phoenix Rank: Prince Personality: Loren tends to act less like a prince, and more like a jester whenever the setting is less then formal. He is very friendly, and tends to be cheerful even as a battle rages around him. He has his moments of leadership, but tends to have self-doubt about his abilities. He is very protective of his friends, and especially his sisters. History: Born as the only son in the Wren family, Loren was groomed to be the next king. When his father was too busy with battles, and later the war, his mother would teach him 'practical things'. At the age of fourteen, his father had made the hard choice of sending his only son to the academy. After bonding with his phoenix, he was sent away to develop his leadership and magic skills. Appearance: Loren has his mother's brown hair, and his father's green eyes. He tends to keep his hair long, much to the dismay of his father. As for his clothing, he tends to wear robes similar to the ones a court mage would wear. If he has to get dirty, he'll wear some leather clothing. Other: Loren wishes for a peaceful solution to the war, so that he may rule fairly, and develop his magic. Creature Name: Azura Appearance: Azura's pure white feathers give off an holy glow. She is a bit smaller then most female phoenixes, so she is less of a target in battle. Personality: Azura is much more seriously, and tends to be something of a mentor/mother to Loren. She is very wise, and tends to induce him some of her wisdom and advice whenever the chance arises. In battle, she likes to deploy hit and run tactics, in order to confuse the enemy. Posted March 1, 2012 (edited) ~Empire of Celestial Flames~ Username: Chee Name: Obsidian Pendragon Age: 18 Country: Dragon Rank: Princess Personality: Stubborn, she doesn't like letting anyone get close to her and she enjoys the thrill of battle. If anyone is able to get close to her they'll find she is a very loving person who would gladly die for anyone and that she is actually lonely a lot of them time. She is afraid of the dark though she won't let anyone find out. History: Obsidian was born into the Pendragon family. At and early age it was clear she enjoyed fighting, and while it please her father it worried her mother. Her mother tried to teach her girly things, but Obsidian simply had no wish to learn how to sew and wear dresses. Her father and the generals taught her how to fight, both with a sword and in hand to hand combat. At 14 she was given a dragon egg. When it hatched her and Onyx bonded almost instantly. She then went to the academy and learned how to properly ride her dragon and fight on his back. Now that the war has started she gladly fights for her kingdom. Appearance: Obsidian Other: She uses a sword for close combat or when fighting on the ground, and she uses a lance while fighting on the back of Onyx. Creature Male Dragon Name: Onyx Appearance: Onyx Personality: Cruel, Onyx will slowly torture a creature until it dies, he dislikes anyone coming too close to his rider and will growl at someone who tries to. He is a viscous fighter. Only Obsidian knows that when he's not fighting he can be kind and his greatest enjoyment is flying. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Username: TotallyDrow Name: Seth Age: 19 Country: Dragon Rank: Soldier Personality: He is the loner type, prefering to travel alone with Xaphan. Sometime's it is hard to tell if he is on the side of good or on the side of evil. He is not a big talker. He can get angry easily, depending on the situation and is liable to disobeying order's. Appearance: How he Looks History: Seth was orphaned at the age of 13 after his father was killed in the war against the Empire of Dying Ember's. His mother had died during child birth. Ever since the death of his father, Seth has withdrawn into himself, the once happy go lucky kid became the silent loner. He had heard rumor's that his father and a fellow rider were on a patrol mission, patrolling the border's that separated the two countries when they were ambushed by a squadron of phoenix rider's. The rider who had accompanied his father fled, leaving his father alone to deal with the squadron, needless to say his father was overpowered and killed. The coward had fled to the south and was never seen again. He was taken in by a monastery, where the bishop gave him food and shelter. At the age of 14, he ran away and joined the academy learning how to be a dragon rider. He excelled in the art of sword combat and espionage spells. It only took a month and a half after his birthday, for Xaphan to hatch in his arm's. Together they progressed through the academy eventually becoming full fledged soldier's. His motives are unknown as of now, but one thing is clear he does not trust the Phoenix rider's, and he does not fully trust the dragon rider's. Other: Weapon Magical abilities: Ability to hide his scent, remove any footprints (like on snow etc) and to emit black smoke from his sword. Creature Name: Xaphan Appearance: How he Looks Personality: Similar to Seth, but not as severe. He is more open to interaction with other dragon's as long as they don't annoy him. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Username: Shadow_claw Name: Sawyer Age: 14 Country: Dragon Rank: Trainee Personality: Pessimestic and sarcastic, and has a dry sense of humor. Sawyer is violent and aggressive, but thinks a lot over. History: Sawyer is the youngest child of five. She is used to having to fight for what she needs. Her father died in the war, and her mother is on her deathbed. Most of her family has been killed in the war, but her sisters are very good healers. Appearance: Long, dark brown hair, which is always in a braid. She is tall and thin. Six feet tall even. Here, but she has two swords and wears armor. Other: Scorched Creature Name: Soreth Appearance: Here Personality: Strongly loyal and brave. He does anything to keep Sawyer safe. He is very smart, but isn't good at using his intelligence. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Username: Silver_Voices Name: Echo Age: 16 Country: Dragon Rank: Messenger Personality: Echo would first seem like a very carefree girl. But she cares only for herself when it comes to safety or comfort or security or anything. She’s not actually selfish, it was just the way she was raised, or /not/ raised. She’s bonded closely with her dragon, Zephyr. Zephyr is the only creature who has ever gotten close to Echo, who cares for herself just as much as she cares for her dragon. History: Echo was orphaned at age 11 and was thrown out into the streets. From then on it was survival of the fittest. She looked out for herself and herself only. She constantly had to turn down people who desperately needed her help to ensure her own survival. This formed her selfish behavior, the personality of “me first”. She later discovered the academy and joined at age 14. She immediately received her dragon. Well, more like found/chose. Zephyr was already 47 years old, a stubborn and temperamental dragon. His first human had died, having fallen from Zephyr’s back at high heights. Echo was awed by the large red dragon and spend all her free time just watching him fly around far above the ground. He felt himself drawn to her is a mysterious way. It was different from the bonding, but like a connection or link emotionally. He landed next to her one day and sniffed her, trying to figure out what kind of person she was. He could tell that she was alone in the world, just like him. He took her under his wing and he eventually claimed her as his human, completing their bond. Echo spends as much time as she can with Zephyr, and it’s rare that you’ll find them apart/not communicating. She took the job of Messenger so she wouldn’t have to fight, knowing this was the best chance of survival. Also so she could visit both cities without worrying about getting hurt or killed. Zephyr approves of this rank fully; he wouldn’t have to worry about protecting her in a fight or worry about her getting hurt when she travels. Other: Creature Name: Zephyr Appearance: http://www.gamefront.com/wp-content/upload.../red-dragon.jpg Personality: Zephyr is like Echo’s big draconic brother. He advises her on what to do and how to ask and what to say. If Echo didn’t have Zephyr, she’d always come off as unfriendly and a brat. Zephyr is also very possessive and protective of Echo. He’s also still a very stubborn dragon. If he makes his mind up about something, it’s almost impossible to change his decision. But he means well and whatever he does is in the best interest of his human. He’s always very fidgety when they fly though, worried that she would die the way his previous human had died, falling from his back and hitting the ground before he could reach her. Posted March 5, 2012 I've got an idea. Have a battle start. A dragon can fly by and tell Obsidian and Seth they are needed. And all the pheonixes will come to fight. We can make it a serious battle inside the dragon territory, like one big push to try and get to the capitol.
