Posted March 20, 2012 Holy crackers... I don't get to log in for a night and we get another Holly! How utterly cool is that! When this is over, we have to think of something cool for the donators. And I am officially up to 61 (21 frozen and 40 adults). I'm happily egg locked again, but I got find a way to beef up my hatchling numbers. Hey Sunny, I've got two second gen frill/bbws bred, I influenced them so that the male bbw/female frill pair will produce a male, and the female bbw/male frill will produce a female - an exact copy of the 3rd gen's parentage you've got. I've got to beef up on my Gaelic - I want to make sure I'm naming the numbered drones correctly. Pity there isn't a Gaelic word for Apocalypse. Off to work now... ugh. 8pm cannot come soon enough. And I agree with you - we gotta think up something ubercool for the donators (who knows, might even bring in even more holly donators)! I think it's not chatter if it's solely related to the bbw contest, but I could be wrong - can one of the uber cool site mods clarify this? Posted March 20, 2012 Not that this matters in the slightest, but my Holly was renamed at some point, in case you'd like to change that bit of info. He's now Good King Wenceslas of Gosland V. I'm not sure why I suddenly found it imperative to switch names, but I'm sure it was for a very good reason that somehow saved Dragon Cave from the brink of destruction. Posted March 21, 2012 argh, i have 5 hatchlings that i want to grow up NOW. i'll be at 32 when they do. i'll make the official announcement when they finally decide to grow the heck up! i've been hatchling locked off and on for the past few days. i can't remember when that has happened last. fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, they are not all BBWs. as soon as i can, i'll be breeding more of them though. i'll post trade links in case anyone wants to do a blood swap. I have some Excel tricks that may make everyone's life easier. This is a way to make Excel automatically generate links for you, without having to type or click anything: ---1. Highlight all the BBWs on your scroll and hit Ctrl-C ---2. Go to Excel and select Edit--Paste Special--Unicode Text ---3. Excel will replace the image of the dragon with the code of the dragon, and each part of the scroll display table will be in a different cell. So, in my case, all the dragon codes are in column A. ---4. Somewhere on this sheet, say at the very top, put in one cell: http://dragcave.net/lineage/. In this example, I put http://dragcave.net/lineage/ in cell J1. ---5. Make a formula for joining text in an open column: =$J$1&A2 . In this case, the dragon code is pasted into A2. The $ in front of J1 anchors both the J ($J) and the 1 ($1), so that if the formula is copied into a different cell, it will still look to cell J1. The & is the text join symbol. ---6. Hover over the bottom right corner of the cell that you put the text-join formula in to, and drag down. It will automatically fill in A3, A4, A5, etc, and thus make you a list of all of the lineage codes of all of your dragons. ---7. Copy that list back here!
