Coexist or War

Previously known as, "At War."

Semi-lit

Accepting Dragons | Accepting Humans

(Whatever is bolded, is what's being accepted atm.)

Intro

Weredragons are a rare breed. They appear as half human, half dragon and can take the form of either, choosing when to transform. They live in groups; clans in the forests. Hardly anyone knows of their existence, but when clans start battling for territory and they begin venturing out of their woods and towards cities, everyone soon knows about them. The question is, can they coexist peacefully?

Story

Weredragons believe the humans to be "demons on two legs." The Weredragons oppose the humans because of their vast technologies and through these they are essentially destroying Earth.

Humans also despise these "monsters," and all they are worth. Killing dragons quickly became a sport in many places but when less and less people returned, it was swiftly outlawed. There are still quite a few dragon-hide dresses here and there, which could sell for over three million dollars.

The two largest clans currently are Makidona to the West and Kametia to the East. Their territories are now adjacent to each other and borderline to the large human settlement, Catos City south of them.

The clans are always sworn to a primitive lifestyle, believing that other technologies are 'devil's work'. Simple metalwork and leather are their only options for armor and weaponry. They stay away from electricity as much as possible and their homes are usually small tents, huts or dens dug in the ground. As far as healing goes, they primarily use dragons with healing abilities. If they are absent, they use herbal and natural remedies, which are never as effective.

The Weredragons have no use for fancy forms of transportation or lifestyle. Every dragon can run faster then a cheetah and jump fifty yards in the air, and forward. Every dragon, however, also has its own special ability. Breathing fire is not uncommon, along with poisoned claws or telekinesis. There are usually never two dragons with the same powers but identical twins have a higher probability of this happening.

Catos City, on the other hand, is extremely advanced. Bullet trains and Monorails are the main form of transportation throughout the city, excluding personal vehicles. Huge buildings shoot skyward, making the most of the city's small space. The population is well over a million, and it's still rising. The previous mayor of this city had in fact discovered the Weredragons living in such proximity and he quickly made a type of treaty between them.

Plot

The deal was, Weredragons were not able to enter the city's boundaries. If they did, and they were found out, they would either be flushed out, or killed on the spot. If anyone was having harmful side effects of seeing such unbelievable sights (depression, becoming clinically insane, suicidal), they must have their memory wiped by whatever means necessary. If the humans ever entered the Weredragons territory, they would receive the same treatment.

Weredragons stay as far away as possible from this city, but sometimes children will play games, trying to lure humans into their territory, just so their parents would have the joy of killing the demons. But when humans began expanding into Weredragons' territory, the treaty was broken and now a steadily on-going war sits between them. The normally peaceful Weredragons are fighting back against the deforestation, pollution, and overall destruction of their home.

I. Rules

  • All DC forum rules apply.
  • I am god. My word is law.
  • I reserve the right to add, edit or remove any rules as the RP progresses.
  • Using original characters is encouraged and allowed. DC dragons are allowed, but frowned upon.
  • This is a semi-lit roleplay and I'd like it to stay that way. At least four sentence in each post.
  • No flaming, trolling, or being mean to other RP'ers.
  • No mary/gary sues. No perfect or useless characters.
  • Characters are allowed to be killed, but both users (killer and victim) must be okay with it and it must be discussed via PM.
  • Romance and violence is encouraged allowed, but keep it PG-13.
  • Weredragon's powers are limited to three, and they must all be related. (I.e. Cannot have, "Breathing fire" and "controls lightning" together.)
  • Please PM me all forms.
  • There must be one human character for every two dragons and most ranks must be filled before we start, at least the leaders/mayor.
  • Do not put "To be RP'ed" in any field in the character form, although, I can hide the personality/history/etc from everyone if you'd like, but do your best to stick to what you wrote.

II. Information

  • The clans don't really have an official army. So any "regular citizen" is actually part of the militia.
  • Weredragons usually never have normal hair/eye color, setting them apart from humans.
  • Weredragons have super human abilities, like being able to jump extreme heights and distances. To such an extreme, it almost appears they are gliding. All dragons have these abilities, and do not apprehend any other powers a dragon may have. These abilities must be taught like walking, but all dragons are born with them, and the abilities vary between individuals and can be strengthened or weakened over time and through training.
  • Weredragons are born in which ever form their parents were in at the time. Once a female is pregnant, they are forced to stay in that form until the child is born, which is usually a rather short time period, usually only two to three months.
  • Dragons will never waste a carcass, using all parts of the body from the bones to the pelt. Furs make good clothing and waterproofed leather can be used in tents. Dragons use any kind of metal they can find to use as simple armor and sometimes small swords are forged as weapons, although not usually very sturdy.
  • Dragons despise humans and they are the only species Weredragons will allow to be killed at anytime. Humans are not usually consumed and their bodies, unused. This is allowed on principal alone.
  • Clans are set up simply. One dragon is in command, and they elect a 'right hand man' or a deputy to aid them. The leader's mate is treated as a VIP, but has no control over the clan. There is also a head healer, a shop-keeper (if the clan has a market, in which case, most do).

V. Accepted Characters

Username: mickiloo97

Name: Akito

Species:: Weredragon

Gender: Male

Age: 54 (appears 26)

Appearance: Human Dragon

Personality: In his human form, he is usually calm and level-headed in tight situation, but everywhere else, he has a short temper. He likes to play pranks and jokes on everyone, and usually takes it too far. He is very proud, keeping him for apologizing to anyone, and hates being told what to do. He only usually ever transforms when necessary, or he loses control of his temper. When he's angry, he never listens to reason, or listens at all, really. Akito is very vicious in this state, and someone always ends up getting burned, and it's usually everyone around him.

History: Akito was young when his parents died, so he practically raised himself. Everyone was too scared to befriend him, because of his 'fiery' temper.

Clan:Kametia

Rank:Leader

Powers/Abilities: Fire.

He can set his wings ablaze and use it as either a shield, or in an offensive manor. He has been learning to shoot 'fire balls' from his inferno-wings, but is not getting improving a whole lot. He cannot do this while wet, or during flight, but has no limited time.

Breathing fire. When he coughs, or sneezes, smoke sometimes escapes from his nose and/or mouth.

He can manipulate the temperature of the air around him. He has a hard time controlling this, especially when he's angry. Sometimes, it will become extremely hot and humid around and near him for no reason, and other times, he'll suck the heat right out of the air, and the area around him becomes freezing cold. He can also handle extreme temperatures because of this, making him fire/frostbite proof.

Username: mickiloo97

Name: Galatea

Species:: Weredragon

Gender: Female

Age: 54 (In human years. She appears 29)

Appearance: Dragon In her human form, Galatea has light purple, almost white hair. It is wavy and reaches her lower back. In certain lights, it seems to change color, to different shades of purple, green and blue. Her eyes are a crystal color, and usually appear white or clear, but are actually the lightest shade of blue. He has a medium build, and is approx. 5'8.

Personality: She is very friendly to those she has met and liked before, but is usually shy around strangers. She doesn't particularly like children and stupid people really tick her off.

History: She was born and raised in this clan. Although she has ventured out if it's borders before, she likes to stay close. When the war between the humans and the dragons, her parents were on the front line of defense. When her mother became injured and unable to fight, she became a healer, and one of the best the clan has ever seen. She, in turn taught

Galatea everything she knows. She then adopted healing abilities. Her father died when she was fifteen, but it barely effected her, seeing as she hardly ever saw him. Her mother passed of old age when she was thirty. The loss took it's toll, but she accepted it and has moved on.

Clan: Makidona

Rank: Healer

Powers/Abilities: She has an advanced healing ability, but it's barely considered a power. She has telekinesis and can move objects within 40yards of herself. When she uses this ability, the opal on her forehead glows (in both forms.)

Username:mickiloo97

Name: Kayon Vang

Species: Human

Gender: Male

Age: 49

Appearance: Kayon is a dense, sturdy man. He is in no way graceful and stands a hefty 6'8. His body is littered with scars from previous battle in the war against the Weres, most of which stay hidden under an appropriate amount of clothing.

Personality: He must always be in command. He never asks for something done, he tells it. He will never lie to you or sugar-coat things.

History: Each of his scars tell a story; ask and you shall receive.

Clan: Catos

Rank: General of the Army

Powers/Abilities: N/A

Username: lycrawaterz14

Name: Caroline

Species::Were~

Gender: female

Age: 45 (appears eighteen to twenty.)

Appearance: (Both description or picture is fine) she has long black hair as a person, tan, and green eyed. As a dragon she is a lithe looking, blue scaled and green eyed creature with black fin-like spines going down her back all the way to her tail.

Personality: she tends to be aggressive, but not physically so.

History: Her home was destroyed in a human fire along with her family. Akito found her slightly charred in human form and took her with him. Because of this she thinks of Akito as her hero, and would do anything for him. Could be considered a crush.

Clan: Kametia

Rank: Deputy

Powers/Abilities: Water manipulation and purification.

Username: Little lost dragon

Name: Traddine

Species:: Weredragon

Gender: Male

Age: 20 (looks 17 as a human)

Appearance: In dragon form he is a 8 foot or so tall. Dark blue scales cover the body and his eyes are the color of silver. His head is slightly narrow but does not look like a beak or horse head. His wings are out of proportion and he can form a dome around himself with space to spare. His tail is very long as well; stretching over 6 feet. Some say his tail was met for a larger dragon but he ended up smaller then expected.

In his human form, he is a 6 foot tall. Slim and looks like he hasn't eaten enough. Brown eyes and black hair. He wears deer hide most of the time. Though he likes to be in dragon form most of the time. He says "Human form is limited."

Personality: Thoughtful, he likes to think things through. He hates those that charge in with out a though about what there doing. They seem to be the trouble makers to him. He's a loner at heart but can have friends. Though he keeps to him self a lot.

History: He was born into the clan. His mother laid his egg and then shortly afterwards vanished. The same went for his father so he grew up not knowing his parents. He is a loner still as he was when he was younger. He normally kept to him self.

Clan: Makidona

Rank: Deputy

Powers/Abilities:Shield like magic is his style of powers.

Wing shields: He can form a "force-field" with his wings making them able to act like shields. Able to block most attacks though he still feels the recoil from each hit.

Shield making: He can form small fields in thin air. Normally they only last around 2-4 seconds each. There able to take 1-2 hits each. He can not combine them though.

Immunity to telepathic powers: As result he can not communicate through telepathy but it also blocks out telepathy as well. Reading, altering of the mind only returns a grey slate of nothing for the reader. This ability is always active and requires no magic. Its just there.

If he's only using one he can last a while with any of them. Two at the same time he will tire like he has not eaten anything for a while.

This makes him purely a defensive weredragon when it comes to combat and powers. He can use what all dragons have as claws and teeth and such or sword and arrows but powers are not offensive at all.

Username: Kokay

Name: Lora Hindsberd

Species: Human

Gender: Female

Age: 42

Appearance: Human Lora usually wears a polite dress suit, and prefers not to wear dresses. She is always seen in public meetings in said skirt and jacket combo, but when at home she wears entirely functional clothing. One could assume that she was expecting something bad to happen. High top hiking boots, thick pants, and a button up shirt with many pockets.

Personality: Lora is a straight forward woman. She thinks first at all times. She is not a fan of Weredragons, and just the very mention of them can send her into a rage. Lora has worked long and hard to earn her position and will fight longer and harder to keep it. She doesn't take well to threats or questions of her authority. It's not often, but she will help someone disappear. Usually, such things go unnoticed, luckily for her.

History: Lora's history is shrouded in mystery. That which has been dug up is morbid. As a child, her family was killed by Weredragons. She then became a big advocate of Anti-Weredragon notions. She took part in many hunts herself, killing three Weredragons by her own hand before she hung up her belt and dove into politics. Lora won everyone's vote by a landslide against her combatant. The man was well-liked too, and became an adviser to Lora, but never has she let her guard down around him.

Clan: Catos City

Rank: Mayor

Powers/Abilities: Her skill with every technological field is near obscene. She can use everything she touches, and can fix near anything. She is capable of making new weapons if given the right materials, and is schooled in the usage of primal weapons, knowing how to use only wood and rock to make strong and dangerous weapons.

Username: Kokay

Name: Taiga

Species: Weredragon

Gender: Male

Age: 78 (Appears to be in early 30's)

Appearance: Man He stands at about 6' 8". A stocky build. He takes good care of his body, and is incredibly fit. Dragon His face is bordered by small horns all the way to his ears. His ears are located in small holes in his head. Located right above his ears are thick horns that stretch over his head and curve wickedly, stopping just after his snout does. His snout is sturdy, but fairly long. His wing membranes are attached to his whole body, limiting most movement. His forelegs and back legs are short and greatly spaced. Taiga is much larger than a horse. He is about three school buses in length, and one in height. (including his wings, which are perpetually in an upright position) He is very comfortable being on the ground, but is capable of flight. When in flight, he uses his tail as more than a rudder, but, for bursts of speed, a propeller against anything that he can. Thus, he often flies close to the ground or mountains. When close to the ground, he flies in a circular motion, pushing from one side to the other. Almost, like a sidewinder snake. When not near the ground, he rarely flaps his wings and, honestly, glides more than flys as it tires him easily.

Personality: Taiga is a patient and calm weredragon. Few things move him into action, and, as long as his clan isn't in trouble, Taiga is unlikely to react to anything. He is a true shepherd in all forms of the word. He is a very fatherly, and wise character. Though he is slow to anger, his anger burns hotter and longer than most. Still, while angry, he is calculating and wise in the way that he takes said anger out on things. He very much loves company, and will often go out of his way to mingle with those of his clan.

History: Taiga was born a human, and prefers the form unlike many. When he was taught how to fly, they found that he had sincere troubles. Surprisingly, however, he was not tormented by his peers. This is, probably, because he's absolutely kind. So, unable to fly, Taiga mastered the skill of gliding. Perhaps, his inability to fly has helped his decision to stay human at most times.

Clan: Makidona

Rank: ---

Powers/Abilities: Taiga's power is earth manipulation. He uses this power to travel through the ground, rather than in the air. He is capable of 'swimming' through the ground, much like a fish through water. However, he is only able to use this power in his dragon form. Taiga's anatomy has allowed for a small pocket of sand to be kept inside of his human and dragon forms. It is located in his throat, and allows him to propel the sand out of his mouth in an extremely fast attack. It is, essentially, a spit. This speed is killer. And his manipulating power allows it to be 100% accurate. He has been able to 'shoot' a human's arm off cleanly. However, it is a limited amount of sand and in order to use it, he has to ingest sand. Ingesting sand, no matter how used to it, is unpleasant. To top that, if he is not focusing entirely on the sand when he fires, he could injure himself. Thus, he rarely uses it in battle.

Username: Kokay

Name: Unah

Species: Weredragon

Gender: Female

Age: 102 (Appears to be in 60's)

Appearance: Human Dragon

Personality: Unah is an incredibly caring weredragon. She cares for all creatures, even humans. In her youth, she may have been somewhat hot-headed, but few would remember or believe such a time existed. Now, she is undoubtedly the most caring weredragon in Kametia. Not to mention, she is also very wise. She offers good council to Akito where needed.

History: Unah was born a dragon, and prefers that form. Her human form is frail and old. Though she was once a beautiful woman, she is not now. Her dragon form used to be the envy of many weredragon, but she had made a vow to stay mateless, to focus on healing. Though she made this vow, she did love one man. A human, when there was peace. She would sneak into the town to be with him. When he found she was a weredragon, he was horrified and asked her never to return. She did not.

Clan: Kametia

Rank: Healer

Powers/Abilities: Unah is capable of taking others wounds unto herself, thus healing them entirely. Her healing factor is better than normal, but just barely. Her ability to take wounds unto herself is not limited to physical, but mental wounds too. She is able to transfer all of her thoughts and memories to any one chosen person. At the cost of never remembering them herself.

Username:Pudding

Name:Charon

Species:Human

Gender:Male

Age: 35

Appearance:

Charon has long, curly hair. Well, at least it appears long but the black curls just give the illusion of depth. It really doesn't even reach down even close to his shoulders when wet, let alone when it is dry. Moving down his head, Charon has slightly pale skin and blue-green eyes that rather look like the ocean water of the Caribbean. Perhaps it is just the strange lighting in the hospital but sometimes, his eyes even appear to change color slightly from completely green to a bold, vibrant blue.

Had he not decided to go into medicine, Charon could have easily been a dancer due to his skinny, graceful body that seems to easily twirl around. Of course, Charon has never danced even once in his lifetime and appears quite klutzy outside of his hospital. But when there is a scalpel in front of him and a person dying nearby, he seems to be one of elegant people around with his customized black version of a 'white coat' and his stethoscope.

Personality: Charon has a sort of attitude that demands attention but, at the same time, causes people to want to leave him as soon as he has introduced himself. Naturally, this true personality never arrises when he is dealing with patients and a fake mask appears that is disgustingly cheerful instead. Rumors have often been spread around the Hospital that he once told someone they where terminally ill while smiling cheerfully, as if he had just gotten back from an amusement park. Underneath his mask, Charon is incredibly serious and hardly ever jokes around. Although his actions sometimes seem funny(especially when he is trying to think. He makes the best faces when trying to think.), he hardly ever understands anything outside of what he can read in medical books. Human nature puzzles him and, in his mind, it would be better if all of the weredragons died because he could have something new and interesting to dissect instead of being bored all the time with living patients. If he does grow bored, he gets incredibly lazy and prefers not to do anything until something comes up that could delete his boredom for more than twenty minutes. Currently, that means dissecting weredragons.

History: Charon was seven when he obtained his first medical kit from his parents. Well, it was really a toy kit but he became hooked on the idea of medicine because of the toy. Hard studying and perseverance caused him to rapidly rise up the levels of schooling until he was accepted into and graduated from one of the top medical colleges in the world. Returning back to Catos, his home city, he began operating as the Director of the Hospital while trying to figure out a way to get his hands on the body of a weredragon so he could dissect it.

Clan: Catos

Rank: Director(Hospital)

Powers/Abilities: Although he cannot magically heal others like some weredragons can, Charon is a high-class doctor and can easily diagnose someone with an illness or disease rather soon after meeting them.

Username:pudding

Name:Dryvis

Species:: Weredragon

Gender: Male

Age: 60 (Looks 29-ish)

Appearance: In his human form, Dryvis has spiky brown hair with underlying traces of darker-brown-on-the-verge-of-black streaks throughout. His hair is so spiky, in fact, no matter how much gel is used it is nearly impossible to get it to lie down flat on his head. Under a certain lighting, it also appears to take on a slightly orange look to it but only slightly.

Moving down his face, Dryvis has brown eyes and an aftershave. His eyes aren't deep chocolate brown, but rather a bit coppery with tints of green that make his eyes look like a spiraling vortex you could get lost in. He's rather tall (about 6 feet, maybe a bit more) and lightly tanned skin with rather large battle marks across his chest and back, but none on his arms or legs so when he wears clothes, the scars are covered. He possesses and wears a pair of glasses he found near a human city, claiming they make him look smarter. In both his human and his dragon form, he has an air around him or rage like fire and ice clashing together when he is angry or fighting.

Dragon

Personality:Dryvis is a swift thinker and even swifter on the battlefield. He prefers to have nothing holding him back, especially ties to other weredragons. Because of this, Dryvis is often considered cold and antisocial. However, instead of being openly shunned for this, most people have simply forgotten about him. He could easily slip away and vanish for five hours and return with the excuse he had the use the restroom without most people batting an eye. If life was a book, he would be one of the background characters that people hardly ever noticed and never listened to until they got into a relationship with one of the main characters.

History: Dryvis's parents were among those killed by humans in the very beginning. He was sort of thrown around by the different members of the clan growing up and never really became known for anything due to his powers. Usually, he just acts as the errand-dragon for the dragons of the clan, trying not to be noticed too much so he can just vanish without others noticing.

Clan:Kametia

Rank: --

Powers/Abilities:

Hypnotism/Mind Control-Only works for a short time until the power has to be renewed again. Like most hypnotism, it requires the target to stare at his eyes. When they do, he can give them orders or convince them something has happened. Outside of that thing or subject, they behave normally but often quiet down or respond robotically when the subject he has hypnotized them on is raised. Several brain cells are also lost if the Hypnotism is forced on a person with a strong willpower.

Hidden-This is probably why everyone usually ignores him. Dryvis has the power to not register properly in people's minds. They often recognize someone is where he is standing but unless he is directly talking to them, touching them or moving around very fast, people simply don't see him. If he is aware of it, he can turn it off but usually his power just runs on autopilot.

Username:Shapeshifting Dragon Cyrus Packgoater

Name: makaidos

Species: weredragon

Gender:male

Age: 58 (appears 36 in human form)

Appearance: Dragon Form this picture is scaled weird, his head and neck are not quite that big in comparison to his body. He has the ability to decide what size his dragon form is when he changes. He has a lot of scars, all corresponding to the ones on his human form.

Human form: 6'2" tall heavyset man, with very tan skin and lots of scars along his face and skin. He has short, light tan hair. He has a very kind looking face, but still battle-worn. He has purple eyes. He is known for not favoring either form particularly.

Personality: he is a very logical person and will always take the most logical course of action. His temperament is very cool and collected. He despises oppressors and believes in everyone's right to freedom. He is opposed to the humans very strongly but deep down believes that the most logical course of action would be to coexist with them, sadly this is not possible, in his eyes, as they are too selfish and greedy. He is a gentle giant when it comes to younglings and allies, and a fearsome force to be reckoned with when he is mad. He has a strong sense of justice and "an eye for an eye". He is a natural born leader.

History: makaidos is descended from a long line of leaders, dating back to the beginning of the clan. He was born right after the hostilities between the humans and dragons reached the boiling point. When he was born, in human form, his father stood over him and said: "I will name him after the great clan that he will someday lead, for he will bring it through its time of trial." so he was named makaidos.

During his childhood he was a rash and disobedient young weredragon, always getting into trouble with his kind and humans alike. He never even tried to reach the standard his parents had set for him, as it was higher than even they could reach. His abilities were impressive and he was the best of the young warriors, but he still refused to accept that he would someday lead his clan, to the disappointment of his parents.

One day, his parents participated in the largest battle of the war. Makaidos was requested to lead the younger weredragons into battle, because of his bravery and skills, but he refused and ran away, swearing he would not take part in leading the clan just because that had been what he was bred to do. He hid in the woods and listened to the fighting begin. When he looked out at the battlefield, he saw his clan ravaged and retreating, because their young dragons had fled the battle before it started. He ran out and fought bravely, taking out many men and saving a few allies. When the fighting died down, he searched and searched for his parents and finally found them, his mother dead, his father half-way there. Kneeling down next to his father, he begged his forgiveness. His father, with his last breath, replied, "son, it is i who should apologize. I tried to decide your destiny for you. I now realize...it is up to you to choose your own destiny...just promise me...you will make the right choice."

Ever since that day he has sworn himself to leading the clan like his father did, with fairness and justice, level-headedness and self-control. His scars tell the story of how he has paid the price for his mistake, and how he turned that mistake into a legend to be remembered.

Clan:Makidona

Rank: leader

Powers/Abilities: he can shapeshift into most anything. When he shapeshifts, his body goes into a strange gaseous or liquid state, shapes itself into the form of whatever he is turning into, and then re-solidifies. He can also just go into this strange state for other purposes. He does not necessarily need to change all of his body at once.

Username: Drakossozh

Name: Zairin

Species: (Human or Weredragon): Weredragon

Gender: Male

Age: 50 (appears around 24 in human form)

Appearance: Both human and dragon forms

In both forms he has a scar along the back of his jaw where his neck and head meet.

Personality: Zairin has a relatively distant and bitter personality. He typically does not get along well with others and prefers to be alone. He often states things bluntly and as they are, preferring not to show emotion to others. He is however not heartless or cruel by any means. He simply prefers not to let others see his true emotions.

History: He was born into the Kametia clan where he grew up as any normal youngster would have. He had no big events in his life and no real tragedy, save for the occasional passing of a Clan member. But his good life changed one day when the new leader came into power. Zairin challenged the other dragon over a disagreement in the running of the clan and lost the battle. Receiving his scar in the process. He took to exile in his humility and has spent the rest of his life up to now in Catos City posing as a human.

Clan: Formerly Kametia. Now resides within Catos City.

Rank: Exile

Powers/Abilities:

Ice breath: he breathes a cone of ice which has a chance at freezing his enemies. Occasionally when irritated or upset frost will escape his mouth while he speaks like steam from a person standing in the cold.

Ice Spines: He can grow spikes of ice from his tail and along the front edge of his wings to use in battle. The spikes can be launched at foes. He cannot fly when he has the spines growing from his wings, merely glide in small bursts.

Liquid Form: He can shift his body to a liquid form to avoid danger. In this form he can move but cannot attack. Unless splashing water on someone counts. His body can withstand most forms of physical attack in this form though electricity can harm him in this form and can force him to return to a normal solid form. Intense heat can also return him to solid form but not as immediately as electricity. Fire can also still harm him.

Username: Packgoater

Name: Rhody Wogan Cotun

Species: Human

Gender: Female

Age: 32

Appearance: Rhody

Personality: Rhody is fairly quiet, often polite, but highly inquisitive. Perhaps she doesn't always vocalize her questions, but they will clearly be written on the look in her face. She likes having information before she takes action, and is very much a hands-on person. She likes to be able to be right in the middle of a situation, but certainly can also work away from the scene. When she is in charge of something, she is strict. She likes things to be done properly, no ifs ands or buts about it. She is highly intelligent, and expects to be treated as such. Being talked down to is not something she will easily tolerate, and will often be angered if you do this to her. When angered she will be sharp and often snap, but rarely resorts to violence. In her opinion violence has a time and a place, but an argument is not one of them.

History: Rhody has always sided with the "good guys." As a child, she grew up with her mother, who was a police officer. Her mother was a very strong woman; she dealt with the pain of being a widow, and the struggle of being a single mother. Rhody's mother was a good role model who always believed in doing the right thing, and staying strong. This she taught Rhody, and also taught her to be completely accepting of others. This stuck with her for a long time, until she found her mother with a Weredragon. Rhody was hurt and betrayed, and extremely angry when she found out the Were knew her mother was a widow, and knew of her father's death. It was salt on a wound when she found out the fling had gone on even when her father, whom she was very close to, was alive. She took this out on the Were, however, rather than her mother because she needed her mother there for her. Out of respect for her mother, she entered into the police force, and with her dedication quickyl rose through the ranks. Rhody's mother was diagnosed with a disease, and died soon after Rhody was declared Police Commissioner.

Clan: Cato City

Rank: Police Commissioner

Powers/Abilities: Rhody has the uncanny ability to handle things with a calm and cool demeanor and be level-headed. This has earned her respect from both her peers and from those of higher rank.

Username: Totallydrow

Name: Vrael

Species: Weredragon:

Gender: Male

Age: 19 (appears 15 in Human form)

Appearance: Human Form Dragon Form

Personality:

As a human, Vrael tends to be uncomfortable around others. This is mainly due to the constant bullying and tormenting he recieved while growing up in Catos City. However once he trust's someone and feels comfortable with his surroundings his demeanor changes. He becomes more carefree and nonchalant to the point in which some people would call him lazy. As a dragon, he tends to be more fool hardy and more open to those around him. He is more confident in himself and his abilities and can express himself far easier when in the form of a dragon. He will take risk's as a dragon, something he would never consider doing when in his human form.

History:

He was raised in Catos city as a human child, he lived there with both of his parents and until recently had a somewhat ordinairy life. Nobody knew who he really was, and where he had come from. That is to say, the man and woman he regarded as mother and father were not his birth parents. His 'foster' parents had found him as a newborn child abandoned within the outskirts of the city and decided to raise him as their own, unaware of his weredragon origins. They gave him the love any parent would do to their child.

However all of this changed one day. Vrael was on his way home from the center of the city, when a group of thugs ambushed and dragged him into an alley. This is where things turned for the worst. These thugs had often targeted Vrael, due to the fact that he looked different. He was the only one they knew who had Azure coloured eyes and blue hair. There were even rumours around the town that he was not human. That he was a monster, stuck in a human's body sent to someday plague their city. During the most recent attack by the thugs, Vrael almost instinctively transformed into a blue dragon, as a means of self protection. As this transformation took place, the clouds above slowly got darker and before long a single bolt of lightning had struck the tallest tower setting its roof ablaze. This only fueled the citizen's hatred of him causing cries of "Monster! Monster! There's a Monster on the loose!" to echo throughout the town. Vrael took off into the sky fueled by adrenaline. That afternoon he fled the city... What else could he have done.?

Clan: Unknown

Rank: Citizen

Powers/Abilities:

- Bolts of Lightning : He can shoot bolts of concentrated electricity out of his mouth, resembeling bolts of lightning.

- Electric Aura: Currents of electricity are visible around his body. When he concentrates he can manipulate these currents to a part of his body in order to enhance its physical damage. I.e focusing these currents in his mouth to deliver an electric charge bite capable of stunning its foe for 5-10 seconds or focusing them in his tail to deliver a more damaging tail swipe.

- Storm Shower: His strongest ability, in times of need or in great stress, storm clouds will form above his location and will shower the ground with bolts of lightning. These bolts however are random and cannot be aimed at others. This ability is also taxing on his energy and if overused can be deadly for Vrael.

Akito looked over the clan's territory, leaning his forearms against his tree. Most of it now lay in ruin. He clenched his fist, trying his best to keep himself from blowing up. "Those damned-..." He stepped away from this tree and looked high into it's branches. It was a huge oak, and it had been there ever since his clan can remember. Even the elders remember it, and the dragons before them. It was an icon of their clan. Now it was the only thing giving them hope.

"UGHH!!" His tightened fist slammed against the tree's trunk, sending embers flying from his fist at the spot of impact. A stream of hot, angry tears flooded down his face, as he collapsed into the tree once again. "Those damned humans..."

Recently, the humans had been venturing farther and further into their territory then the treaty from years ago permitted. They have begun to tear down the dragons' forests, little by little. It began one small tree at a time, in such little quantities that almost no one noticed. Now, it had turned into huge patches of trees at once, forcing the dragons further into the forest. But on the other side of that forest, there was nothing but sea. And Akito knew what they were planning.

The humans were pushing the dragons little by little, closer to the ocean so that eventually, they would have so little territory left, the dragons would leave. But they were sadly mistaken. When the dragons began to fight back, the humans only pushed harder.

Akito stood straight and wiped the salty tears from his eyes. Taking a deep, calming breath, he patted the tree where his fist had landed, now a small scorch mark sat there. "I'm sorry..."

He sighed and walked back into the clan's central hub. It was a small, quaint circle where most shops, huts and tents were. He often referred to it as the square. Walking directly though everyone's business, he entered his own tent swiftly, pushing the deer hide back and allowing himself inside.

The tent was divided into two sections at the moment. One for the leader, one for the deputy. He moved into his half, stepping onto the left side of the suspended pelt and threw himself down onto his cot with a sigh. What was he going to do now?

Galatea sighed as she worked. The humans had recently started a small battle against the clans, causing many injuries among the clan. There were very few healers in this clan, and she was arguably the best, causing everyone to fight for her attention.

She huffed as her thin form pushed though other healers, trying to get to another patient. She quickly looked over him diagnosed the dragon, told the others how to treat his illness, and moved to the next.

She ran through the large tent with ease, although it was definitely not the easiest action in the world. She'd probably rather be on the battlefield than keep running around from one cot to another, rushing through diagnosis and treatment, one after another. Finally, she got tired and sat down for a moment, waiting for another nurse or patient to scream her name in a panic.

Caroline silently entered his side, waiting on permission to be in there. "You alright, Akito?" She murmured, her soft eyes caring. "I saw you outside... we'll get them the next time they try, I promise. They can't get away with this. They broke their own treaty..." she growled. She wasn't really sure if it helped, but it sure made her feel good. Then again, just being around Akito felt good... he was perfect. She only felt safe around him...

She looked at the ground shuffling a bit. "Sorry..." she sniffled.

Traddine barked orders to fall back further into the forest. Bullets whizzed by. He formed a few shields around and they quickly went down. Using his wings and forming a shield on each he charged at the nearest human who raked his powered up wings with a chain gun. *thud* *thud**thud**thud**thud* went his wings as he bashed the human back. With a quick strike the human died. He pulled back and went into human from to hide behind a tree. Ordering them now to hold there ground he took out his bow and arrow and started to shoot still using his shield power to try and save a few of his clan members. But only a few bullets would rid the shield.

Another clan member went down. Nailed in the leg. Traddine rushed out and grabbed the fallen member and pulled him into cover. "Archers! Plan 3!" he shouted and suddenly arrows where flying this way and that out of the bushes and tree's. He really hoped the humans did not bring any heavy weapons today.

((Only half a idea whats going on.... is this alright?))

((He took a bullet in the knee? Huh? xd.png Yeah, I don't see any issues.))

Akito glanced up as he heard a voice. Seeing Caroline standing there, he rested his head back on his hands. "It's okay." He sighed and sat up in his cot, looking straight ahead into a blank wall of skin. "They might of started it, but you know how humans work. They need proof. For everything." His fist tightened again, and it rose from his lap. He stared into for a moment, then let the hand open and fall back onto the cot. "And I know exactly what they're up to, also."

Looking up from the ground, his eyes met hers. "Something needs to be done. If we enter their territory, they'll just throw everything onto us, and we don't have the things, or the numbers to beat them on their own land." He stood, and paced back in forth in his small area, staring back at his feet; he just needed some kind of movement right now.

Taiga stood in the middle of camp, weighing his options. He could walk into the medical tent and look like a fool. Or, he could just deal with what he'd done. The man stood in his human form, thinking it over. To be honest, it was fairly rare when he looked like a fool. After all, he was one of the older weredragons in Makidona who could still hold his own against any of the younger dragons in a wrestling match. He had aged well. Finally, after much consideration, the man walked into the tent and smiled at Galatea. He pointed with his forefinger at his throat and spat blood into his hand. Wincing, he prepared to talk. "Messed up my throat this time. Mind telling me how to fix it?" He rasped.

~~~
Unah was laying down in camp. She had heard the young leader walk in, obviously angered. Her hearing was the only thing about her body that still worked properly. At least, in dragon form. She padded quietly into the leader's tent to see that the deputy was already there. It was clear to her that the young weredragon female was very attracted to the leader. But, perhaps it wasn't so obvious to him. The small white dragon was about the size of a grizzly bear. Her lithe form walked into the tent without any trouble. She looked up at the leader and sat back on her haunches. "Dear, Akito. You are angry. I understand. But do not let your anger be the reason why you fight. Let that reason be for your Clan. I have seen many good weres die because they were fighting for the wrong thing. Don't let that be you."
~~~

Lora Hindsberd was standing still. She was thinking. She liked to do her thinking while standing. It made things better. Her body worked more properly, and she didn't have to rethink things through. So, she was standing. Of course, in an awkward place. On the wall. The wall that surrounded the city to 'keep out the weres'. The wind whipped past her. At the moment, she was facing the East. The land of the Kametia was in front of her eyes. They had recently been out in that area, harvesting trees. No doubt the weredragons were finally catching on. She had made sure they'd been discreet about it. Though she hated weredragons, that didn't exactly mean that she thought they were stupid. They weren't. They were just as smart as any other human. That increased her frustration tenfold.

The arrows flew by, Traddine remained hidden behind his tree. So did many others. The humans body armor protected them for the most part but some arrows found the cranny's killing some. Then one of the weapons Traddine hated showed up. Grenades. Little rolly things of death that once tossed and hidden you pray its not by you. A few flew by one right by him. He scooped it up and threw it back and it exploded mid air. then a few more bangs and blood flecks hit him. He looked to another fallen clan member, killed. The main body no longer recognizable.

Traddine felt a pain of grief and sadness at the fallen clan member but focused on the riddance of the human attack force that did not seem to end. "Ganton! Get back to the clan. Inform them we got more wounded and where losing ground!" he ordered. The young warrior nodded and then sprinted back to the clan. Plan 3 had failed and the humans where firing shots everywhere. They needed help, Traddine knew that. But where would help come from? More from his clan? They can't leave it undefended though. The other clan might move in.

Galatea quickly looked up from her resting spot when she saw Taiga pad in. She sighed; she knew exactly what had happened. She stood and walked over to him and sighed. As he spit blood onto his own hand, she cringed and stepped back. "Bleck... First off, wash that off." She held up a finger, gesturing for him to wait a moment. She ran to the back wall of the tent, and grabbed a medium sized jar, filled with a disgusting-looking green syrup. She returned to the dragon's side and handed the bottle out to him. "Rinse out your throat and try to clear out all the sand. Drink some water, then gargle with this. Twice a day." Beginning to turn around, she suddenly remembered, "Oh! And eat soft foods..." She glanced back at the blood, and gave a small shudder. Blood was one thing, but spit-y blood, was gross.

Vang glanced up at the human figure standing on top of the wall.. Of course it was the mayor. He stood behind her and cleared his throat, attempting to get her attention, but do so subtly and still somewhat respectfully.

"Ma'am. The Westerners are weakening, and beginning to retreat. What is our next plan of action?" He stood stiff, with his fists placed firmly at his sides and his expression stone cold. Kayon usually faced Lora like this, emotionless and respectful.

The gun shots to the left of him were very faint, but still very loud, to someone who's been in the military as long as he had. Each explosion rung in his ears with nothing less than a pang of hope. They were winning this so-called battle, if it could even be considered one, and they would finally prove their dominance. After that, they could give any order and be answered with passive, respectful obedience. Those dragons were taking up valuable living space, and nothing would stand in their city's way.

Lora turned to face the general, sighing as she did so. "I do not know why your men went in. You should have consulted me first, General. I would like them to retreat. I have decided on a proper plan of action. Have your men retreat, and things will be ready to fall into place."

~~~
Taiga grinned lopsidedly and took the jar. "I won't show off next time, promise Galatea," He said. He glanced around and saw that there were quite a few dragons in the tent. He thought, for a moment, that he could hear gunshots. "Galatea, forgive me, but I think I may be ruining my throat further after this," He set the jar down and ran out of the tent, changing as quickly as ever as he did so. Within seconds, he was a huge dragon. Jumping into the air, he propelled himself up enough to dive into the earth properly. He heard them for sure now. Taiga moved quicker through the earth and rose when he felt the presence of the other weredragons. It was Traddine. Unable to properly hide behind anything with his dragon form, Taiga changed into a human and jumped to Traddine's side. "What are you doing, Traddine?! Why are you fighting them?! We don't have enough weres to do this! The medical tent is already full! Show me the injured, I'll take them back."
Kayon lowered his head. "Yes, Ma'am." Swiftly pulling a bulky, square radio from his belt, he spoke into it, "Lieutenant, we have orders to retreat." All that responded was practically the complete opposite of understandable. Surprisingly, he still understood enough. The last things he heard from the radio was the Lieutenant commanding his troops to, "Fall out!"
Vang looked up at the mayor and nodded. At the time, it seemed right to attack, but after all, she did have the final say.
Galatea chased after Taiga, knowing right where he was headed, but she was too slow. He was already far underground and out of the area before she could stop him. Her palm struck her forehead, "That idiot..." She sighed and returned to her duties inside the tent, now that many were calling for her once again.
Caroline came over and sat on his bed, gently patting his back. "We don't need a war. We just need to me them know they aren't in charge..." she soothed, and leaned on him a bit. "Perhaps a bit of exploring would help. We must cherish what little forest we have left."
(Sorry so short, about to go to bed...)
((Well, the humans are retreating, so "upwind" would be a wasted effort, seeing as the enemy is now fleeing. Just saying.))
Akito glanced at Caroline as she began attempting to comfort him. He practically glared at her when she leaned on him. He stepped away quickly, pushing her away emotionally and paid attention to the elderly dragon. "But we are fighting for the right reason! For the clan! If the humans take control of our forests... We won't have a home."
He sighed, and suddenly realized what she meant. If we keep fighting like this, there won't be much clan left.
She was right, actually. He nodded to her, showing his understanding, and left the tent with a new objective, and a new purpose.
((For future reference, I'd prefer if all attacks are specifically RP'd by either me or micki. That way the humans don't all die out. They're too smart to attack without reason. I have something planned, so there will be more battling soon. I pinky swear!!!))
Lora looked carefully at the man, as if sizing him up. He clearly towered over her. To most, it would be disconcerting, but not her. She had weapons that so many lacked. It wasn't just the weapons of the physical nature, but the weapons of the mental nature. She had blackmail on everyone. Not to mention, should something happen to her, the whole city would be thrown into outrage. She was well liked throughout the city. The woman scratched her nose before turning her back to the military man. "That will be all, General Vang. I appreciate your services. Feel free to spend the rest of the night as you will. But," She turned once more to face him. "Please make sure that your men are well-rested and prepared for a true onslaught tomorrow. You never know when the dragons might... snap. And kill something that we hold dear..."
~~~

Unah turned her attention to the young female as Akito left. "Dear, please realize what game you are playing. Akito is an honorable were, but he is not one to accept displays of affection. You may do well to restrain your heart," She said softly, doubting that the woman would listen. Standing and grunting at the pain in her joints, Unah left the tent too. She laid down in the sun, on a rock. The warmth was reinvigorating.

Makaidos dashed through the woods, his heavy frame breaking through the brush. In his dragon form, standing about 9 feet tall, he made his way towards the battlefield. He heard shots from one of what the humans call a "chain gun" and quickened his pace. Suddenly he came to a clearer part in the woods, filled with his clanmates and also his enemies. A few "grenades" flew through the air towards him. He pushed hard off the ground and launched into the air, loosing a massive roar. The humans quickly targeted him, but before more than a few bullets could pierce his armored hide, his body disintegrated into a mass of gaseous tendrils. He slid through the air down to the ground, and then began slithering through the underbrush until he came up to the first screaming human. He reformed into his dragon form, rose from the earth and brought his heavy front paw down on the human, killing him instantly. Fire was, again, trained on him. He went back down and slithered to the tree he believed his deputy was hiding behind.

"Traddine! I'm sorry I got here so late. I see you sent for reinforcements, I'm afraid to say I just told everyone to stay put because we can't leave the clan unguarded." he said to his deputy as he turned into his human form, "I'm your reinforcements." he turned to look at the carnage around him, then lowered his head, weighing all the options and strategies.

"taiga, he knows we don't have enough weres to do this, but he also knows that if we don't stop them here, they may very well get to the camp and we CAN'T risk that happening." he replied to taiga's question for traddine, but it appeared as if the enemy was retreating now. They were falling back through the woods and it worried makaidos greatly, "Traddine, I want you to stay here with me and give our weres time to to regroup in case they have something up their sleeves."

((Yeah! What she said! xd.png

And nope, you're good.))

Kayon recoiled at the mayor's words. He broke his stone-hard expression and his eyes went wide with concern and disbelief. What was she saying? What was she planning? He regained his composure, still worried, "Y-yes, Ma'am." He bowed, before turning and heading towards the large iron gate in the wall, the only thing separating the humans from the monsters. Inputting the code to open the 50meter long gate, the soldiers marched though and into the large, dusty opening just on the other side.

But his brows still held concerned. If Lora was planning a, "true onslaught," as she called it, what was about to happen? And who would turn up missing the next day...?

"But, Makaidos! The injured can't stay and fight! They'll die! I'm strong enough! I'm the biggest were here! Let me take the injured back to camp for treatment. I will return as soon as possible. You can't let them die because of your fear!" Taiga knew he was going too far, but he could not handle it. There was too much suffering. The small and vulnerable human form he was in changed to the 37 foot tall dragon. He turned to inspect those who were injured. "Let me take them, Makaidos. While they can still be helped," He growled. Dipping his head in respect, he stopped and bit into the earth, swallowing what he could. If his reptilian face could change to show disgust, it would. Instead, he let out a deep moan.

((???))

Makaidos raised his eyebrows. "I did not say that you could not bring back the wounded. Where did you get that idea? Please, take them back! We will stay and make sure the demons do not invade again." he looked at taiga curiously. Maybe the were did not quite understand what he meant? "taiga, I would appreciate if you did not imply that I am a coward. The last time I checked, we were the ones that have been here fighting and we will continue to guard our clans regrouping. Regrouping includes the removal of the wounded. Now go!"

Taiga's behavior was weird. Maybe he mistakenly thought makaidos was telling him to stay? He didn't know but he also didn't have time for this. He would talk to taiga later. He looked around the tree to make sure no more humans were remaining.

((Taiga is simply freaking out about his fallen comrades. He misunderstood.))

The large dragon moved quickly, picking up those who could not move themselves and herding the others to his side. "Thank you, Makaidos. I will return quickly," He rasped. As he ran, he jumped, propelling himself into the air and stretching out his wing membranes. He reached the Clan's camp soon and stumbled into it, trying to avoid stepping on any Were or any tents. "Galat-" He spoke at first, but his voice gave out halfway through. The large dragon moved close to the medical tent and laid down on the ground. He slapped his tail on the ground, creating a loud cracking sound. His clanmates climbed off of his back and helped each other to the medical tent. Relieved of his burden, he shifted into a human once more. He walked into the medical tent and looked for Galatea. Seeing her, he pointed to his throat and scowled. It was doubtful he'd be able to talk without advice on how to heal his throat.

Galatea looked outside the tent, confused as an odd noise was heard. It was Taiga again, and he returned with many wounded Weres. She looked up at Taiga, as he pointed at his throat and frowned. It was obvious that his throat was getting worse. He glared at him, "You ate more sand! Didn't you!" She scoffed and shook her head in disbelief, "I told you to keep the sand out!" Her palm hit her head again, so much so that a red mark began to appear. She sighed and poked him in the forehead with a tough, demanding finger. "Alright then, spit it out." She remembered the blood from earlier and quickly pointed off to her right. "That way, please..." she mumbled, still disgusted.

Healers began to appear all around them, and the healing tent began to gobble up the wounded. She sighed, realizing that most of the Weres had to be carried, not being able to walk by themself. This saddened Galatea. As everyone was out of the dirt and inside on cots, she decided Taiga, seeing as he wasn't very bright, needed her care the most. She ran inside and grabbed a large bucket of water and another jar of syrup. She went back out to meet the dragon with the water, and sighed. He really wasn't that bright.

Taiga changed into a dragon, careful as always and focused carefully on the sand, forming it into a small stream that would easily come out of his mouth without hurting him. In a quick, forceful breath, he shot it out, blood included. Changing back to a human, he rubbed uncomfortably at his throat. He wasn't a fool, he was just compulsive when it came to protecting others. When he saw that Galatea was coming back his shook his head and jabbed a thumb back at towards the direction of the previous battle. "Makaidos," He rasped. He didn't have much hope that Galatea would allow him to leave, but, one could always dream. Taiga had known Galatea since she was a young one. At the time of her birth, he had been learning to fly. He had always looked on her as a younger sister. But, when she wanted something done that had to do with medical needs, even Taiga didn't refuse.

Galatea started at the thumb skeptically, and gave a sly smile at Taiga's attempt to speak. She shook her head, "Uh-uh." She handed him the water, practically forcing it into his chest. "Make sure you get it all." She took the bottle into her hand and opened it carefully and took a small whiff of the liquid.

It could barely be called a liquid, and smelled vile, but Taiga brought this upon himself.

She closed the jar and shook it viciously, until it felt slightly thinner. She opened the container again and it smelled even worse, but it seemed a little less thick and disgusting. She allowed in a few drops of water, closed it, and shook it some more. She turned back to Taiga and handed him the bottle much more carefully then she did the water.

"Try to get it into your throat without swallowing it. If you do eat it, it's not going to hurt you..." she paused. "But you're not going to like it..." she murmured to herself. If this dragon can sit and eat sand all day, she was pretty sure he could handle this, although, it was much more potent then dirt...
