The Light in The Shadows

[Zeditha]

Zeditha's head snapped up from the rabbits as a scream rattled the island. Her wings flapped hard, sending her into the air, and she picked up the remains of her meal with her tail as she began to maneuver across the water.

[Nanashi]

Sombra slowly quieted down. Only because she needed to catch her breath, though. "She's too loud, Pesadilla... Someone might hear her. What do we do?" Mariposa asked. "Hmm? Oh, nothing. We let them come. Remember... Only Shadow Cats can break that cage. Unless you're knocked out." Pesadilla began humming, and the weight that stopped Sombra from moving returned. Slowly, the shadows around her moved and drew something in the air. But it vanished quickly, before Sombra saw what it was.

Taking a deep breath in, Sombra screamed again. She knew that after that, she wouldn't have enough energy to; The mix of the weight she felt and the energy it took to send out a scream loud enough for the whole island was a bit less then all the energy she had.

 

Temenrae snapped to his senses as a familiar noise reached his ears. He never thought he'd hear it again. He spread his wings and took off, hearing the message behind the scream. Kaayshia Forest. River. It was hard to hear over the sheer terror her voice contained, but Tenebrae knew her better then most, and had been told about this 'ability' earlier.
