Adriana glanced at one of the workers in the cafeteria as she ate her lunch. This was the annoying part of the her task. She had to follow this guy and find the pictures this man was blackmailing someone with. If he was smart, this job could take awhile...she doubted that he was. She new the man would lead her to the pictures sooner or later then she could get to the more enjoyable part of her job. Although it didn't show, she was looking forward to this.

Est did not completely trust this new person. he did not know why. he didn't trust anyone to be fair but something about this 'zatch' bothered him, it might be nothing but then again it might be somnething.

 

"just know that i am yet to meet somebody who can best me in combat and i plan to keep it that way."

 

Est ran after vayne making sure to keep slightly ahead of this newcomer. he would learn his place. he maybe another warrior but Est was the first and planned on being the primary.

Zatch already felt the challenge from Est.

 

Heh, fine... keep your first place and your ego. It's those with too much an ego that always fall behind... You'll make mistakes for being careless, it isn't me you have to worry about, it's your own pride that'll destroy you. You'll become careless and it'll be the end of you when you trip.

 

"Physically speaking Est, a sword is always stronger than a knife. Sure, you might be faster but I have the greater reach and the greater force behind each swing." Zatch commented. "Besides, what do you have to fear? I'm not after you. To me, you're useless. Just know that if you make any mistakes, I won't save your sorry ass." Zatch ran his tongue along his sharp canines, his tongue even started bleeding slightly and some blood was on his teeth. "Besides, if anything, I'd much rather accomplish our task without me having to kill anyone for being stupid, it's too messy and too obvious that something is up." Zatch's pupils were as small as beads as he looked at Est. "Don't make mistakes, anyone you kill you hide as soon as possible. Any blood you clean off the floors."

 

Zatch then readjusted himself to appear more... appropriate. "I've been at work for my chance to get ahead for too long to lose a huge chance at it now. If you dare screw things up, I won't think twice about leaving you behind to die."

Delucin had stayed where he was and closed his eyes. But he was an unobtrusive presence in the back of her head and watched her first experiment with her powers through his warriors own eyes.

 

“I’ll do my best,” she promised.

((And since some of my future warriors seem to be a bit bored while we are getting around to recruiting them, here is something to occupy your time and make the world a bit better - well warriors of the darkness are invited to participate too if they feel like it.))

 

 

The seven bridges disco was packed with teenagers tonight, most of them from the nearby highschool. It used to be a rather tame location with the worst that had happened so far was a smashed window courtesy of a drunken youth.

But now there was a predator among the sheep.

 

"Try it out." Dantos said and held a glass of sparkeling water out to a girl named Estelle. A second before he had poured a bit of white powder into it. "Just one sip. What can it hurt?"

 

Estelle shook her head, looking insecure.

 

"Chicken." her boyfriend Tobias said and grabbed the glass emtying it with one swallow. His eyes widened and a delighted grin appeared among his lips.

 

"This is soooo cool! Estelle you have to try it."

 

Dantos poured another glass, added the powder to it and this time Estelle took it.

Riley

 

Riley walked into the The Seven Bridges disco and scanned the scene with his deep green eyes before heading to the side of the room where the drinks where held. He got himself a drink and than scanned the room for his target for the night, he was disappointed when he didn't find anyone who caught his eye and conceded himself to just enjoying his drink and kept his eye out for any interesting girl or someone who owed him money.

 

He finally got pulled out onto the dance floor by a girl that was good looking but there wasn't anything special about her. He danced with her for a short time before going back to refill his drink and forcing someone to give up a seat for him. He took pride in being one of the "smart" thugs as he had to brains to not get caught and also know how to use other people.

"Hey Ru..Re... Riley!" Tobias reacgognized the newcomer as a fellow classmate even though it took him a while to get his name straight. They had never been close, in fact Riley had a bit of a bad reputation that used to repell Tobias but in his haze he thought they must be the best of friends.

He walked over to hug him and clap him on the back.

"Boring night, uh? Why don't you come over here if you want to have some fun? This guy has some wonderpowder that is so good it's downright crazy. I am sure I can talk him into giving you some as well."

Rhia Avon

 

Rhia hummed softly as she exited the grocery store, her arms full of paper bags containing all the ingredients she needed for the next week and a half. She felt much better after the walk; the grocery store was on the other side of her district. Rhia still couldn't shake the nervous feeling, but the energy that had been pent up was no longer there. She sighed, and then started walking again. She was on the other side of the shopping area, and her house was ten minutes away by walking. Rhia eyed the people on the street, most of them teenagers. Were they going to that Seven Bridges Disco Rhia had heard about for a while? Still, it would be awkward to see what they were up to while her hands were full of the grocery bags. Rhia turned away from the students and started to walk towards her home again, her mind drifting.

 

Ten minutes later, she was unlocking the door to her apartment, and shoved her way inside. Stepping around the teetering piles of books, Rhia headed for the fridge and deposited her bags on the ground. She carefully put everything away, and then sighed and sat down on her bed. Now she was ready for a round of video games. She stood up, but before she could reach the console, the anxious energy swarmed her again. Rhia uttered a low curse. What was with her tonight? I guess I have to go out for another walk... A few minutes later, Rhia was in the streets again, feeling annoyed. Why was she so nervous?

Riley

 

Riley brushed his white hair out of his eyes and say that it was Tobias that had called toward him. He scowled but quickly conceled it and stood up to face Tobias. He never liked doing substances because he liked to keep a clear mind just encase one of his many enemies found him and wanted to comfront him about something.

"Let me see what you have Tobias." Riley said with a shrugged Tobias off of him and ran through the "wonder powder" that the kid was talking about. He finally figured out what it could be and looked at the kid. "No thanks. And if your dealing I wouldn't do it here as there are some people that are already corner the market so stay low." He said with a sneer and looked at Tobias' girlfriend not caring if she was high or not. "Estelle isn't it? Would you like to dance?" He said with a sly smile that was also charming at the same time.

Syth headed home, walking slowly through the groups of people on the street. He noticed the majority of teenagers heading towards the nightclub, or whatever it was called. It wasn’t his place, so he steered clear of it. Something in there reeked, not in the smell sense but in the ‘shiver up my spine’ sense.

“Oh! Almost forgot!” he spoke, turning into the video store and buying some movies. Sure he could drive, but he felt like walking today. The fresh air, the calm breeze, it refreshed him like nothing else. Satisfied he had what video’s he needed, he headed down the street, heading in the direction of his home. Turning a corner, he bumped into another teenager, dropping his movies and his groceries.

“Man, what is it with me and running into people today.” Standing up, he brushed himself off and held out a hand for the girl. He frowned, she looked familiar.

“I’m sorry miss, but do I know you? I think I’ve seen you around the school before. Oh!” he crouched down and grabbed his stuff before standing back up. He turned his gaze back to the girl and smiled “I’m Mr Everfree, I teach class 2B at the school.” He smiled and held out a hand in greeting.

"Dealing? Did you saw any money changing hands? Besides what would you know?" Dante said a bit of contempt shading his words.

 

Estelle had hung herself onto Rileys arm and was giggeling. "Sure I want to dance. You don't mind, do you Toby?"

 

Tobias who was normally highly jealous just waved her of.

 

"Your loss." he said to Riley. "Hey Dante, can I have some more?"

 

Wordlessly Dante prepared another glass for him.

Rhia Avon

 

Rhia walked down the street, unsure where to go. Turning a corner, she managed to get hit by another person, who promptly dropped their bags. "Oh, I'm sorry." she said, though it was only half-meant.

“Man, what is it with me and running into people today.” The man said, and stood up, brushing himself off and held out a hand. Rhia frowned at the man's hand. What was she supposed to do with it? She didn't feel like shaking his hand, since it was his fault that he had run into her. He frowned at her, and Rhia tensed. She knew this man, from the high school. It was Mr. Everfree! What was he doing here? “I’m sorry miss, but do I know you? I think I’ve seen you around the school before. Oh!” The man crouched down and grabbed his stuff before standing back up. “I’m Mr. Everfree, I teach class 2B at the school.” He smiled and held out a hand in greeting. "My name is Rhia, and I help teach health from time to time at the school." Rhia said, tentatively shaking the man's hand.

Syth smiled and retracted his hand after they shook. He shifted his bags and nodded once.

“I knew I’ve seen you before. You’re Rhia, the health teacher’s helper. Ah, I’m horrible with names” He frowned for a moment, and then shook his head.

“Mustn’t be important. Still I’m surprised to run into someone I know from the school. Well, not that surprised really” He rubbed his bruised cheek again before rummaging in his bags and pulling out a packaged muffin.

“This is probably out of the blue, but do you like muffins? They had a sale on, and I went a little overboard.” He chuckled, “I even got enough for my entire class.” He held it out a little longer, and if she didn’t take it he put it back in his bag. He turned at the sound of a group of three people and frowned. It was the three boys from earlier.

He turned “Actually, you should head along. It was nice meeting you but I really must run. I’ve got some papers to grade or some other excuse” He noticed that the three were coming his way and his frown grew deeper. How was he to get this innocent person out of getting involved, and quickly?

“Listen Rhia, I would love to talk more but some people are coming whom will probably attack me and I don’t want you to get accidentally involved, so, good day and all that.” He smile, gave her a wave of farewell, and slowly began walking away. If he timed it right, then maybe the three would leave this innocent girl alone. He could take a beating, but he could never forgive himself for getting another hurt.

Riley escorted Estelle out to where everyone was dancing without another glance at Tobias, all the while with the same charming smile on his face. When they had reached the dance floor, he started dancing with the girl while still holding onto his drink. He had a reputation to keep up around the school but he didn't feel like doing anything tonight besides just dancing with some girls and just drinking a little so that's all he proceeded to do with the girl in front of him. He continued to look around as he had an uneasy feeling that something big was going to happen and that even sent a chill down his spine. After some time he had run out of drink and didn't feel like being out on the dance floor anymore and escorted Estella back to where Tobias was. "She's all yours Tobias." He told the kid before heading for the front door so that he could head home.

“I knew I’ve seen you before. You’re Rhia, the health teacher’s helper. Ah, I’m horrible with names” The man frowned for a moment, and then shook his head.

“Mustn’t be important. Still I’m surprised to run into someone I know from the school. Well, not that surprised really” He rubbed his bruised cheek again before rummaging in his bags and pulling out a packaged muffin.

She really did like those chocolate muffins, and hey, saying no to a free one was stupid. "Thanks..." she murmured, but Mr. Everfree started talking again, and glancing over his shoulder at something, or someone. “Actually, you should head along. It was nice meeting you but I really must run. I’ve got some papers to grade or some other excuse." What is he talking about? Why would he need an excuse to leave? Rhia's eyes narrowed in suspicion.

“Listen Rhia, I would love to talk more but some people are coming whom will probably attack me and I don’t want you to get accidentally involved, so, good day and all that.” The teacher smiled, and then turned and started walking away without leaving Rhia a chance to say good-bye. Does everyone tend to avoid me like this to the point where they pretend that they are going to be attacked? Rhia's hardened, and she turned around and headed in the direction that Mr. Everfree had been looking. If there was someone after him, she couldn't care less. No, she wouldn't be bothered anymore. She pulled out her butterfly knife as she walked along the street, but Rhia didn't flick it open yet. She wanted to see what would happen next.

Syth noticed the girl head off in the direction of the three and turned to glance behind him. They noticed him and smiled.

“Well well well, look who’s still up and walking. I think we oughta teach him another lesson eh fellas?” the other two grinned, and all three flexed their fists. Syth sighed and turned around to face them.

“Do we really have to do this again? Haven’t you beaten me enough today?” He asked, a little more than tired of this. They grinned; completely missing Rhia as they walked passed her and headed for him. He breathed a sigh of relief, she was in the clear.

“Of course teacher, we just remembered the grade you gave us when we were in your class.”

Syth frowned, and replied “but you were never in my class.” The three exchanged glanced, and two of them stopped moving and stood aside for backup.

“Exactly, so we never had a chance for good grades, always destined to fail because of you.” The third one dived at Syth, and he closed his eyes as his other cheek absorbed the impact. He fell, managing to stop his bag from being crushed. He placed it to the side, and gazed up calmly at the attacker. The guy growled, and began to beat him senseless.

Vayne came to a halt at the entrance of the Temple and turned back to face Est and Zatch. There was no body else about, most of the workers having gone home for the night, although a watchman was in the distance, facing the other way.

 

"I must warn you both now to tread carefully. The brat and myself were sealed away because our war escalated too greatly. If the same was to happen again you would lose everything you had gained in my service. So until we have retrieved the orbs necessary to unlock my full power and have dealt with the brat, we should move cautiously and keep our activites secret. Too much attention could work against us."

 

The watchman was starting to to turn around and draw closer, but Vayne spotted him and cast an illusion in his direction. All the man would see is an empty corridor. Vayne returned his attention to the orb and tried to work out its location. He knew which direction to take and roughly the distance, but he knew the moment he stepped out of the Temple boundaries he would lose his connection with it.

 

"What is that building over there?" he asked, pointing to one that appeared slightly taller than those immediately around it in the distance.

 

((Vayne is pointing to St Merrylin's High School, but he doesn't know that.))

Natalya's phone buzzed as she received a text. She dug it out of her pocket and checked her messages. There was one from her parents saying they were ready to leave. The girl stood and decended the playground the same way she had gotten up.

 

After Natalya landed gracefully on the ground, she walked to her bike and got on. Soon she was riding back towards the parking lot...

Adriana had long since finished her lunch. She stood and walked into some nearby stores. She pretended to browse while keeping a watchful eye on the man.

 

The man finally got off his shift and was preparing to leave. Adriana waited patiently for him to appear outside. Finally, when he did, the man started to walk into a different part of town. Adriana became his silent shadow as she tailed him around the streets. Soon he arived at some bar and went in. Carefully, Adriana followed...

((I think it's about dusk/night time and you can walk across Wallace in about an hour (if you went in a straight line anyway). I don't know where the club is, but I'd guess Morgan, as it is mentioned being near the school.))

Jordan

 

Jordan woke up still in the clothes he had fallen asleep in and saw that it was still dark outside. "Must not have been asleep for long." He muttered as he rolled off of the bed and landed on the carpeted floor spreading the dust that was on his clothes. He got off the ground after a few minutes and headed toward the kitchen where he grabbed a beer out of his fridge and headed into the living room to sit on the couch and start at the glowing orb on his desk. He reasoned maybe if he had a drink or two he could unlock the mysteries of the strange orb. "Come on, what are you hiding from me." He said hoping that it would open up to him and tell him it's secrets. After a minute he grunted and leaned back in his couch and sipped on his beer.

 

Riley

 

Riley walked down the street enjoying the night aur and prolonging his night until he had to get home if he went home at all. He wondered where he should go after he left the club but no where came to the forefront of his mind, so he ended up just wandering aimlessly around the town.

"That's the school." Zatch answered. "I'm assuming it's towards that then?"

 

He looked towards the tall building of the school. It wouldn't be hard to retrieve at night because no one would be there.
