Here in Argentina its 1.30, and I can't stay awake, but I can't go to sleep 30 minutes before the new tale/decoration.

I'll stay here, a little more and then I can go to the bed.

hmmm... raffling tinsels. That's an interesting idea. I wonder if they will be new colors? I wouldn't say no to a copper tinsel biggrin.gif

Thank you so much to everyone who is involved in this project. It is quite fantastic.

What a great event! I'm glad I could catch the first story before it changed to the second one.

Quick question, what story is the Matchstick story based on?

One of the variations of the Matchstick Girl stories. =)

dang - keep forgetting about you being on daylight savings now.

Actually, we just got off Daylight Savings Time in November. However, since I've lived with it for *mumblymumble* years and am confused by it still, it seems reasonable for the rest of the world to be even more confused.

And in 7 minutes we gets new story and new pretties. YAY!

One of the variations of the Matchstick Girl stories. =)

It's a very touching story ...

From Wiki

On a cold New Year’s Eve, a poor girl tries to sell matches in the street. She is freezing badly, but she is afraid to go home because her father will beat her for not selling any matches. She takes shelter in a nook and lights the matches to warm herself. In their glow, she sees several lovely visions including a Christmas tree and a holiday feast. The girl looks skyward, sees a shooting star, and remembers her deceased grandmother saying that such a falling star means someone died and is going into Heaven. As she lights her next match, she sees a vision of her grandmother, the only person to have treated her with love and kindness. She strikes one match after another to keep the vision of her grandmother nearby for as long as she can. The child dies and her grandmother carries her soul to Heaven. The next morning, passers-by find the dead child in the nook.

What an amazing story tonight's was. Kudos to all the authors, artists, and to everyone behind this amazing event! Last Christmas was so fun and it's great to see that continue.

Please tell me someone is going to start a green dragon Christmas lineage now, because I feel unbelievably guilty for not taking them all in. xd.png

This. Story. Tonight. Is. Epic. xd.png

For sure.

OTOH, I have to admit that, even as someone who is familiar with the Little Match Girl story to a point, I can't really see what the connection between the Little Match Girl and yesterday's story is. (Today's was easy to figure out.) Can anybody explain it to me?
