Melodee halted her song as she heard a loud thump reverberate across the stage. That was strange. Maybe there had been someone nearby and she had accidentally lured him in with her singing. Or maybe it was a phantom. Either way, she didn't care to be surprised by whatever was coming towards her. She slipped off the stage and hid herself among the audience seats, waiting for the mysterious stranger to approach.

Shattershard growled to himself as the sweet-voicing stopped; obviously, his prey had heard him and was either waiting or making her escape. He picked up his stealthy slink, leaving even more marks on the floor as he went. The dragonlike beast nudged a door open with his head, looking out across rows of sitting-things and onto a raised area who's fuction he could only begin to guess at. He stepped forward as he went onto his hide legs once more, slipping his bulk between the seats as he looked around for his next meal.

By now his pheramones formed a wide but invisible cloud around his body, the sweet-smelling chemicals fooling any man-loving brain into think that it was not a predator it saw- no, it was a desirable male of the species, standing amidst the seats with his noble eyes searching the gloom for them.

Deep under the Yamaha Tech INC building was a room that served three purposes. The first was to house hundreds of computer and TV monitors that streamed information constantly. The second purpose it served was as an area for its owner to meet with guests. It's third purpose, was to be the throne room of the self-claiming king of New Mansburg's black market. The master of the room sat in shadow. The only light in the room came from the monitors, and one solitary spotlight. This spotlight was shining on a man who was sincerely regretting his choice to come down here.

"Well?" came a deep voice from the shadows, "What do you have to show me?"

"i-I found this a while back on vacation in Peru," the man responded. He pulled out a rusted dagger with a bright ruby in the pommel, and placed it slowly on the table in front of him. "I'm not sure what it's worth, how old it is, or what it was for, but I'm sure it's valuable, and it may even be magic."

Two points of blue light lit up. The man shrank back in fear. It almost seemed that those lights were looking at him. The spotlight narrowed, and the dagger faded from sight. After a while, the voice chuckled.

"It would seem that someone has sticky fingers, and a guilty conscience. This piece was never in Peru, I remember it well. I sold it to a private collector who has since died. His possessions were auctioned off, but this piece was never reported as sold."

The man began to sweat visibly. "I swear I never-"

He was cut off by the sound of something paper hitting the table. The light extended to show a sizable bundle of bills.

"The blade may be ruined, but the ruby is still valuable." The voice explained. "However...,"

All lights went out. "if you ever lie to me again..."

There was the sound of a metal blade striking the man's chair.

The man sat compleately still for what seemed an eternity. He eventually felt the floor begin to move, lifting him back up into the room above. The lights turned back on, temporally blinding him. When he could see again, he looked to his left. Imbedded in the chair was a six inch black metal feather. He quickly got up, gathered his new money, and left the building paler than a ghost.

Back in the room, Talon eyed his latest purchase. He placed it in a canister, and placed the the canister in a vacuum tube. Talon then pressed the intercom button, and spoke into a reciever, "Package for sub level analysis, I don't want the next buyer to die of any curses, any mishaps will be dealt with by me personally."

There was a sucking sound, and the canister was sent away on a jet of air. Talon sighed, then leaned back on his throne.

"Alert, Unregistered interdimensional interference detected."

Talon sat back up. "Locate." He responded.

An image popped up on one of the monitors of three people, one of whom Talon immediately recognized, despite the years.

"It's been a while, Isaich," the cyboarg said softly.

Five minutes later, a helicopter left The Yamaha Tech INC building. It wasn't long until the aircraft pulled over the small crowd that Isaich had pushed his way into. The civilians were confused, some had seen the blades on his arms, and a few people were screaming. The downdraft from the helicopter only added to the confusion. A door on the side opened up, and a figure with a megaphone leaned over and called out, "I would like to request that you put your weapons away sir, you are scaring the civilians!" The figure put the megaphone back in the helicopter, but then lost it's balance, and fell from the aircraft. The figure quickly pulled out, from what looked like out of nowhere, a large six barreled gun type contraption, pointed it up, and fired a hook attached to long rope at the helicopter. The hook wrapped around the foot of the helicopter, while the other end stayed attached to the gun. The figure slowed down as the rope stretched. However, ten feet above the ground, there was a loud snap as the figure's arm came loose. The robot cyrus then landed in front of Isaich with a thud.

"Hello" He said brightly.

She's still here, she must be... She'd better be!

Melodee gasped as she saw her one, her only Jason standing among the rows of seats. Could it really be him? The last time she had seen him, she had been running, running far, far away. She remembered when she sang to him. Her desire for him had been so extreme she had decided she would rather his false love for a moment than waiting for something real that could have lasted forever. But no, he had made his neutral feeling for her very clear, claiming he was sorry he didn't feel the same. Now he was here... Had her song somehow haunted him in his sleep and caused him to come looking for her? She stood slowly, oh so slowly, and started singing again. No! Her song came to an abrupt halt as she mentally slapped herself. You can't do this! You can't bewitch him again. If you really love him, you'll let him go. You were able to last time. Will you make the right choice again? She stared at Jason, her decision already made for her. "Jason, I'm sorry," she whispered, a tear trailing down her cheek. "I'm sorry, so sorry I didn't mean to!" She ran back to the stage and snuffed out the candles as she passed, running for the exit. She knew the theatre better than anyone, and if he went after her, he would surely get lost for a while. That would give her time to get as far away as possible.

Before the robot came down, Issac's crow flew off. Issac then noticed his armblades were still on and morphed them into metal bars which he then tucked into his jacket pockets.

"Hello... and you are?" Issac eyed the robot suspiciously. The metal was singing to him of weakness, it was unsturdy and far being bein attached well. Pretty poor design if you ask me. Who the hell made this thing? Issac thought as he watched the cyborg's arm pop off. "A cyborg, fun. Tell me, is it just me or does it look like you need a hand?" He stated sarcastically, then making the arm float in front of it's owner. He then also made the robot stand up with a movement of his arm upwards

"Thanks," Cyrus responded, he grabed his arm and promptly stuffed back in to place, good as new. He then continued, "and I don't mean to correct you,-" He paused in mid sentence, then corrected himself, "Wait, yes I do, I am actually an android." He tapped is head, making a hollow clanking sound. "One hundred percent inorganic material."

"Technically I'm little more than a high tech crash test dummy," he went on, "but field testing all the great gadgets made at Yamaha Tech INC is quite fun." After he said this he reached and caught the giant gun, which had just fallen from its rope. "My name's Cyrus, by the way, and you must be Issac."

The android then held out is free hand for Issac to shake.

Issac was puzzled as to how this robot could've possibly known his name.

"Who exactly do you work with?" Issac's cold eyes continued to work up and down the robot, he didn't exactly respond to the gesture right away. "Clearly someone who knew me, or has records about me must've told you, so don't think about lying. I can easily crush you at any moment."

Not that it would be that hard in the first place, your alloys are imperfect and slightly mishandled in their shaping. I can feel how poorly put together you are, each joint is practically about to fall out with the slightest change of direction or force.

"So do try to come up with your best explaination. If it's a lie, we'll see how well you handle being reshaped into a mass of nuts and bolts." Issac never felt comfortable when someone knew him and he didn't know them. It was only natural he started targetting this person with some questions and threats first, before any common gestures came around at all.

Cyrus held his hands up like someone at gunpoint. "Woah, don't shoot the messenger!" he exclaimed. This was made slightly comical by the fact that cyrus still held the strange gun in his left hand. There was a short awkward silence. Cyrus looked around, then noticed that he still had his gun out. He quickly put it back in to compression and stored it in it's holster. He turned back to Issaic, and continued, "besides, wouldn't it be better to have this conversation in private, with an old friend?" Cyrus then handed something small and black to Issaic. It was a metal feather.

Issac took the feather and knew immediately who's it was. "Talon..." he muttered. "How'd he know I was back?"

What's more, how'd he find me so quickly? Issac thought. It's not like I openly waved someone down with a giant flag or anything.

Issac decided he'd go with the robot. He started levitating and playing the the familiar feather, bending and breaking it and watching it form back together.

"I always was surprised about how in hell this object could exist. Science of this world and some others are no where near this in technology." Issac commented on the feather.

Isis turned to see this new person. He looked... interesting to say the least.

"Good day." She said to him. "And yes, the electricity went out. Since you said 'again,' I take it this happens often?"

Cizzur shrugged. "You won't find cheaper living quaters in New Mansburg than these, so what do you expect? It has to show somewhere."

The way she looked at him was irritating. Cizzur flicked two of his metal claws against each other so they gave a screeching sound.

"Are you trying to impersonate Robin Hood or why are you running around with a bow? Newsflash Chika, Halloween is over!"

She laughed. "News flash boy, this is a real weapon and I have perfect aim with it. If I wanted to, I could hit an apple on a person's head from 100 yards. If you ever want to see, you can volunteer to hold the apple on your head." She also noticed his metal claws after he screeched them together. "Not very scary compared to what I've seen some people do."

She paused. "I'm not looking for a fight if you are. Besides, where are your manners if you hit a woman? Or would you do that to every woman you met?"

"Don't you worry, Chika. I've got a proper knife for fighting. I don't care much about long range weapons. They are cowardly. As for manners - I've never been accused of having any. The only human being who gets credit from me for being a woman is my girlfriend."

"Uh Cizzur?" the clerk cut in nervously. "I am to tell you if you damage something again, you'll be expelled."

Cizzur's eyes flashed and he turned his back to Iris to focus on the desk clerk.

His boots made a thumping sound as he neared the desk.

"I've heard enough from you for today." he hissed.

Eli pulled a face. He had also had his fair share of the 'devil's child' treatment.

"I know how that goes" he sighed. "First week I was here I had this church group, Westplain something, follow me around all over the damn place. I was okay with the insults and crosses shoved in my face, but I got mad when they started throwing bricks."

Brighting up he grinned and lightly pounched Garth on the shoulder.

"Hey you hungry? I know this great resturant. The Maitre d' owes me a favour. I could get us a table that isn't too close to the kitchens."

Not that they would dare putting Eli anywhere near a kitchen, not if they were cooking lobsters.

"Try controlling you anger a little." Isis said as she started towards the stairs. "Otherwise it can consume you and you might hurt someone you care about in the process. Anger and depression are emotions that can kill, and not only the ones directly affected by them either."

Isis headed back up the stairs to the apartment.

He seems angry like Issac does about people... Issac's gotten better but there are still some scars... Maybe that's why he hates having mirrors around anymore... I only hope this guy isn't too deep in emotional turmoil to get out of it.

As he trained, Leon felt it wasn't enough, soon he was using his full strength as much as he could. Soon enough, the dummy in front of him was sliced into about 10 pieces.

"Finally..." Leon panted. "What the hell are those things made of anyways?"

JT walked into the room Leon was training in. "They're made of a special composite, a mix of metal and plastics to make it light weight, but strong and sturdy." JT said. "But clearly, I'm going to have to design something stronger. That sword is quite sharp I notice." as he talked, JT pulled out a piece of paper. "I'd like for you to join." He handed Leon a piece of paper. "Read it carefully. I don't want someone talented like you being kicked out." JT finished.

Leon read the paper. It spoke of a fightclub of some sort. "Okay..."

"You should try to stop by sometime at night. That's when the show starts." JT added. "Oh and remember, try not to talk about it." At that he left the room.

The paper in Leon's hand soon ignited at the corner, so Leon was forced to drop it as it slowly turned to ashes.

((Not really. Unless you have any suggestions about something smart to say?))

Cizzur slowly turned around and stared after the young woman who was now leaving without another backwards glance.

He flicked two of his claws against each other, then he spit on the floor and headed to the exit.

It wasn't that he disagreed with her. But if there was an off button for anger he hadn't found it yet. And despite all the helpful people who had told him he needed to control his temper there were pretty few who had an idea on how. And none of those had worked so far.

Not wanting to give the bad news with in front of the office staff the olicewoman took Louise into another smaller room and got her to sit down next to her.

"I'm afraid I have some bad news Miss Haker" she said as gently as she could. "There was an incident at you house today."

"It's my dad isn't it?" cut across Louise. "He's killed himself hasn't he?"

The policewoman shook her head sadly.

"It's your mother. She fell down the stairs. I'm very sorry."

Hearing that it was her mother instead cut through Louise like a cold knife. She had been preparing to hear the worst about her father, but this unexpected twist was too much.

"Oh my god..."

She put her hand up to cover her mouth, but Louise could not stop the tears from flowing.

(Edit: How the hell does passed turn into passé?)

Fikel walked down the stairs and sighed. As he trailed his hand on the banister he was reminded too well of the bars of a jail cell. He had awoken in one not that long ago, but had gotten free on his life savings. He’d been lucky. Gazing at his steps as he headed to the front desk, he thought of what he could remember of that night. It wasn’t much in his mind. He remembered feeling he was going to die. And the specialists had told him that would leads to situations like this if he wasn’t careful. But he had been careful. He walked home, making sure there was nothing dangerous as he went. He made sure to stay calm, so he wouldn’t have a panic attack. But he still couldn’t control himself in certain situations. Shaking his head a few times as he came out in the main room, he noticed that he had passed a female as he walked down. He turned and gazed up at her, about to say a greeting, then closed his mouth. No, it would be best not to bother those people again.

Walking down he noticed the clerk was on a break and frowned. He checked his watch, it was almost time for his job anyway. Hoisting his bag higher on his shoulder he quickly checked his memory to double check he had locked his door. Satisfied, he headed out the exit. He noticed a strange looking man and paused a little too long to check him out. He was well muscled, which suggested he was strong, and there were claws on his hand. He gazed down at the claws for a moment, thinking how cool they looked before he blinked and realised he had been staring again. He smiled at the man and said “I’m sorry, I always forget to make sure I don’t stare at interesting people. Tell me, are you are super by any chance?”

Tegan followed the girl with some distance and waited until she was in a room with an officer. He had no idea what he could have told her.

He entered the room and started chatting with the clerks, when he was suddenly hit by a wave of emotion.

Confusion, followed by disbelief and then sudden grief that sliced through his inner barriers like a knife through butter. He had thought the girl had been prepared but from whatever angle the blow had come it had been unexpected.

Tegan became pale and leaned against the wall.

"Everything all right, boy?"

Tegan gave the secretary a wan smile, being somewhat grateful that at least one person on the campus didn't seem to know his name.

"Just my gift giving me trouble. It will be okay in a moment."

---

Cizzur litterally growled. "Does EVERYone have to get on my nerves today?" He took a step forward and grabbed the man by the shirt.

"I am NOT a super and if I were it wouldn't be your buisness. Comprendre?"

After he had been handed the note and read it, Leon decided to head back to the apartment. He threw on his robes and headed out the door and ran back. Upon arriving he saw two men at the entrance. One was commenting on the other possibly being "super."

When the big one seemed to be in a bad mood and growled at the smaller one, Leon decided to stick around, should anything happen.

(Klyce: *rapping fingers* "Hmmmn, I'm tempted"

Fikel: "Oh my god who the hell are you?")

Fikel was grabbed by the man. His hear thudded, and began to beat rapidly. ‘Calm down’ he told himself.’ “L-look I’m sorry. I only wanted to compliment you on your claws. I thought you must be a super to be wearing such an item. I don’t know many non-supers in this city. P-please let me go. It’s not a good idea to scare me like this. He gazed at the man fearfully. ‘No, calm down’ He told himself. But still, his hear began to beat faster as he gazed down at the claws he had thought so cool a second ago. They now looked menacing. “Please don’t hurt me. I don’t have the money to bail myself out of jail again” He paused and shook his head. “No that came out wrong, just let me explain please, you’re not a criminal are you?” He paused and shook his head. “No no you don’t have to answer that, just please let me down!”

Also, He thought the claws were cool, didn't actually comment on them)

Upon seeing the bigger one grab the smaller man, Leon drove his shoulder right into the big one in an attempt to force the big one off the small one.

"Back off." Leon shouted at the big guy. He then drew his shortsword knowing there wasn't enough area for the two handed one. "Don't make me start an inferno on your ass! You'll regret it!"

Cizzur was so focused on the man in front of him that he never noticed the newcomer until he barreled into him.

He had no choice but to let him go.

Cizzur allowed himself to be carried a few steps back by the attack and turned to face the newcomer.

His legs were slightly apart to allow him optimal balance.

"Back off!" the newcomer shouted at him, holding up his weapon. "Don't make me start an inferno on your as. You'll regret it."

"A sword?" Cizzur said incredulous. "From what carnival do all you jokesters come from?"

"A carnival much worse than you've probably ever seen." Leon grinned. "If you think you're tough, you'll try living a day where I come from and realize it isn't so easy fighting demons and ghosts with just your fists or a pair of ridiculous claws. But I doubt you'd believe me until you saw it..." The blade of Leon's sword then ignited. "Now will you go quietly or do I have to set you on fire as well to prove my point?"

Suddenly there was another man in the fray. As the man with the claws was knocked away, Fikel fell to the ground with an ‘oof’. He gazed at the two men, both fearsome. His heart bleated faster, as if asking him to run. But he was firmly planted in place by fear. He needed to escape. He gazed at both of them, and opened his mouth. “N-now please stop fighting.” But he voice came out as a croak from fear. He gaze at the two and managed to crawl backwards a step. The man with the sword had come to his help, but he looked even more fearsome then the other guy, with flames ignited over his blade. Was he really coming to help him? Or was he going to attack Fikel as well?
