Lineage Terminology.

It's short for a link to a group of dragons the person has created. They only post the last part of the link to save space (and I think we can't post real links on the trade page).

This is what a complete link to a group looks like: https://dragcave.net/group/4013

The first part is always the same, so you just need the number at the end to find the group a trade is referring to. Unfortunately it seems the one in your screenshot goes to a "Page Not Found" error, probably because the person forgot to make that group public.

You can create your own groups here: https://dragcave.net/group

Groups can be public or private, and private groups can not be seen by other users even if they have the link.

Oh, thank you! 😄

Now I understand that

Yes. Any creature without parents listed.

See also this, although it's somewhat outdated:

Hi there, I have a one question. What is mean of word "bloodswap"? I often notes it on traiding, please tell me... what do people writing this word want? x)

A "bloodswap" means they want a dragon matching the lineage pattern of the one being offered, but with unrelated dragons.

So if I wanted a blood swap of https://dragcave.net/lineage/urorK, it would mean I'm looking for a male Deep Sea x female Plated Colossus checker just like this one, but without any of the parents or grandparents overlapping between them.

ACTUALLY, just to be pedantic, to achieve that you need to say "an unrelated bloodswap..." There's nothing in the term bloodswap to say it has to be unrelated.

True, but that is what most, if not all, people actually MEAN when they ask for a bloodswap.

I have been offered related bloodswaps in my time, so thought it was worth a mention. Of course I wanted unrelated, but one needs to specify to be sure !

Zyus do not summon eggs, so you don't need a free spot for them to do it.

Trios (Ice, Thunder, Magma), on the other hand, do summon eggs so you can't even use their action when you're egglocked.

This could have gone to Tiny Little Questions since it's not really a lineage question :)

For lineage purposes they are the same as caveborn, so I would say yes.

I would say no. I don't think a prizekin can ever be called purebred. Purebred is all one breed.

I agree with Fuzz. It would not be purebred. There is no such thing as a purebred prizekin no matter what the parents are. Purebred Prizes are possible by breeding two CB Prizes.

Has anyone ever come up with a name for a lineage like this ? If not - does mirrored stair work for you ? Or double stair ?

https://dragcave.net/lineage/vuBJ9

Double stair sounds better. Mirror implies reversed.

I don't think I have ever seen a name for it before. I generally just call it an uneven or messy lineage, which it really isn't because it does have a pattern.

(Sorry in advance if these answers were posted before. I sort of skimmed through this thread, but it's pretty long!)

I'm curious what these lineages could be called:

1. https://dragcave.net/lineage/jsZbh or https://dragcave.net/lineage/yO9nR where it's a checker with a hybrid breed so the first gen is kind of messy

2. https://dragcave.net/lineage/F0IZ7 or https://dragcave.net/lineage/9vWSI where the genders of each breed swap each gen, but breed variants also give a kind of alternating color each gen

3. https://dragcave.net/lineage/yT2tA or https://dragcave.net/lineage/dmKOm where the genders are consistently the same breed, but breed variants give a kind of alternating color each gen

Thank you :)
