I had gifted one of them to my hubby, and it also went male, but he says since he messes up all the time anyway, maybe he'll try for a chevron or something next year.

*sigh* I got so involved breeding for other people that I used up the dragons I needed to extend a couple of lineages -- I didn't think I needed any second gens, but I do.

 

Is there anyone who still has the right dragons unbred who can breed me a second gen Mistletoe from Winter and/or a second gen Wrapping Wing from Neotropical???

And if anyone needs a second gen from Winter Magi or Ribbon Dancer I have one of each left to breed that I really don't need eggs from.

i accidentally found out about the mistletoes needing influence on the 19th and posted it here cuz i knew i would have been upset finding out after it hatched.

 

also autoed 3 or4 eggs that first day cuz i forgot i needed to "pick one," so i was unintentionally locked.

 

hoping to find another 2nd gen wrapping wing from GW so that i can get to 5th gen eventually. (hopefully unrelated to: 1, 2, or 3) hadn't planned on it, but when i found a 2nd gen in the AP i realized i could make 2 3rd gens from what i had. haven't bred the 2nd 3rd gen yet though cuz i locked myself. YaY! found one in the AP so i bred my other 3rd gen!

 

i know i have bred my CB WW, solstices, and mistletoes. so i unfortunately can't help with 2nd gens. would be happy to help with anything i haven't bred yet. my christmas spreadsheet in in my projects list in my sig. and christmas dragons start on page 35 if you want to check lineages. (the ones with blanks for mates are the ones i caught this year.)

 

@ purplehaze: i can breed a 3rd gen from neos if you need/want one but i can't do it til christmas so just let me know.

I can breed in about 11ish hours again. Doesn't look like I'll get my gift slot back tonight, it's 2am in the recipient's place so I'll have to wait for something to hatch.

I decided to do guardian checkers with the rest of them, too. No hollys though! Maybe some other year.

 

I also have a variety of gens of yulebuck X white checkers won't go any further because of refusals in the off season.

This holiday was a bit hectic. I guess now that I am cooking presents instead of buying it's a little hard to find time for other things. But I did almost no AP hunting. And sadly, what with a mad dash to exit Arkansas before the roads flooded I missed freezing one of the mistletoes I'd caught for that purpose. Doh.

 

While I didn't do any real catching, I did stumble upon a nice pairing that I'll try to do next year.

bred 2 winters to attempt to make a mate for my lonely arsanii that seems to be very picky. i think she has refused at least 3 mates.

 

and hopefully, this one will like its intended mate. caught most of my solstices up front so i knew what color the wings would be.

I got so many wrong color wings last year (before we knew about it) that I just sort of gave up on Solstices this year. I did get one from Sunsong to replace one that colored wrong last year. Hopefully I can breed the needed Sunsong mates and continue that line next year.

I finished this HTTYD2 lyric lineage right before christmas. It took a few tries to get that little gal from her parents and I love how the pattern turned out!

And this next Halloween and christmas, I can breed 5th gen Wrapping wing x Shadow walker checker babies!

 

This year was a very good haul.

What I love about the holidays at this time of the year is that everyone is so busy breeding holiday dragons that I have a bit better luck breeding metals. I finally bred him and am keeping an eye out for a mate. All the other dragons except for the self-bred gold at the top are AP finds. But I haven't found (or misplaced) a 5th gen guardian from a similar checker. lol!
