While naming my Valentines, I realized that in my frenzy to get as many nice even Gens as possible (catching, trading, getting gifted), I now ended up with 3 more pairs of twin Arsani. What would you do with them to avoid inbreeding? I feel so stupid, I could have caught different ones instead...

Now I have a total of 4 Twin pairs of Arsani (haven't checked the other breeds yet).

And congratulations Ruby Eyes!!!

I would probably pick two different naming schemes, and them keep them as each lineage grows. Maybe start each one with a different letter, or add an x or an apostrophe to one but not the other, etc.

Or just release one. (Don't shoot me tongue.gif)

Ruby Eyes that is LOVELY!

Congrats on getting the red you needed, Ruby Eyes. That is a gorgeous lineage. I wouldn't have thought of that combination, but I love it! Of course there is a Nebbie to go with just about anything!

Wow Ruby Eyes your neb line is fantastic :3

Bred this red x GW a little while back smile.gif

Trying to build a stair step rainbow with black females as the base...The first pairing is black x black tea, I keep getting black tea eggs instead of blacks though >:(

*grumbles and goes back to breeding*

Ha. WELL - I have a rather magnificent bouncy pillow line:

http://dragcave.net/lineage/pcguo

It has taken for ever, because at least 90% of the time I get pillows. Just checked my records - I have bred for a mate at least 8 times (that's how many pillow children I've got - there may also have been failures) and no balloon yet sad.gif

I blame my grandson. He is building a balloon army. xd.png

That's impressive!

So I'll have to adjust my expectations then, when I started this lineage (nearly three years ago, before I went on hiatus) the challenge (if any) was to get pillows, not balloons. laugh.gif

Is anyone planning on bluesang x RA and want to swap 2nd gen bluesangs?

I am, but I don't have CB RAs so I can't swap second gens. Managed to get this boy as a start though.

Also, sending red vibes!

Awwww, jumpsnake - I see it went blue sad.gif

But congrats to Ruby Eyes. Kind of a split there, huh?

helix, love that AP catch!!! My friend caught a 2nd gen RA, and I hope to do that lineage myself, and swap with her. In fact, she bred her 2 RA's, and one of those is what turned red - the other was a backup, so it worked out pretty well smile.gif

The only problem with holidays is, it takes so long...She can breed for a RA next year, but then, even if I breed her another 2nd gen next V-Day, it'll take at least another year to get to 4th gen, right?

But they sure are pretty smile.gif I find a lot of the valentine dragons go very well with red nebbies and Royal Crimsons.

Hubby needed 3 blues, got 1 blue and 2 reds, and my friend needed 2 reds, got 1 of each.

Usually hubby's scroll doesn't alt much, and my friend's always does - things may be a-changin' wink.gif

/rolls around in the red nebbies xd.png

My own red neb line has been stalled for a bit due to lots of no eggs. Maybe I'll point theses out to them and say, hey! This is how you do it!

Oooo, that's nice. I don't think its boring. I do think it is a lot of work.

Why am I even remotely surprised that they refused? Oh well, I guess that means that I can only breed on Valentines...

Does anyone know if the refusal is just turned off for the Valentine's holiday or would it be turned off for Halloween and Christmas, too? I suppose it wouldn't cost anything to try.

Only its own holiday, as far as I'm aware, that means only Valentine's.

I think( I hope) all my red nebula projects are finished I may wait a while before I take this further,as I will need a red for 4th gen mates

Oh, good heaven's, how awful xd.png I hate refusals!

As far as I know, it's turned off for each type at each holiday. I'm thinking I had a Christmas pair that refused, but had bred at Christmas. And, I sort of think I know that because I've read it - and never given it a second thought because I "knew" at holidays I didn't have to worry...

I had a bit of luck early this morning, the dog woke me up and before I went back to sleep I tried a couple things:

my first Prism Project finish: http://dragcave.net/lineage/3FeW7 after having subbed the waterwalker for the green copper I finally bred right after Halloween

3rd gen ice: http://dragcave.net/lineage/9mPV9 from male silver. I had swapped a silver version of this egg, and actually needed the ice as a mate for the one I swapped for.

I also got this little 2nd gen ice from male blusang: http://dragcave.net/lineage/V39g7, which is not impressive except that I hadn't been able to get anything from this pair until now, and it's been a long time biggrin.gif

I do love ice with blusangs, it's one of my favorite pairings tongue.gif

EDIT: I stupidly bred this, thinking I needed a gold, but actually needed the copper, but already had one blink.gif If anyone can use this, please pm me - no trade required. Check the lineage carefully, as I have gifted a number of eggs form these breedings.

If nobody wants it (I'll wait till I get up tomorrow) then I will put it up for trade then.

daba555 I love that prism lineage. I've found a few in the AP, and while my friend took them from me (lol) I really admire them.

I love that color combo! The way the blue on the Blusang's wing tips pop is so pretty! I just may have to start a similar line once I have room.

Well now, that's just too beautiful! Love the naming system biggrin.gif

Buckskinmist, should you do that lineage I am more than happy to contribute.

Jumpsnake, thanks smile.gif You know, it was such a fun lineage, and as we've added new dragons, I have started those alternative lines. In the end, I may have a bunch of finishes, with both Whites and Frostbites as whites.

If I could get a brown copper from a sunstone, instead of sunstones, I'd be happier, LOL. The Coastal Pyropes were added as orange, so I may have to breed that line and maybe (or maybe not) it will be easier to get that copper.

But, that's the way it goes. At least by working on so many lines, it keeps me from being too discouraged. The funny part is that I never even liked Albinos much, till I saw this plan. I really am happy I decided to do it!

Deblogan finished hers a while ago, and if you look through the prism thread, you can see other combinations.

Cool. Yes, I've found that working on multiple things is the way to go. Of course, then I can't remember them all, LOL.

I've started to put all my EG things on a spreadsheet with my holidays and prizes. But it's going to take forever to get them all on there!

WHY CANT WE HAVE TABS ON OUR SCROLLS??????????????! Waaaah!

Speaking of coppers from things, I was pleasantly surprised to get one from a seasonal on the first try. But all my other metal pairings I tried at the same time failed to produce anything.
