The Elder Scrolls

I like to save, then murder everybody in a town, say... Whiterun. Or go wolf, and feast on their bodies.... then I reload my previous save... Which makes it all better, right?

I did this too. Was so much fun.

I plan on doing that at some point. But for now, I won't be able to play Skyrim for quite some time. First of all, the computer I play it on is garbage (in terms of being able to run the game). Second, said computer is having some kind of problem right now anyway...blue screens galore. :c

Okay, so I'm really loving Skyrim, am almost done with all the faction questlines and stuff, and I'm interested in the older games. Oblivion and Morrowind are 50% off Steam today. Which one do you recommend? I'm probably going to get them both eventually, but for now I'm probably just going to get one. I'm kind of leaning toward Oblivion since it seems that has more connections to Skyrim (being the most recent game before it) and because the graphics won't be as huge a difference as it would between Skyrim and Morrowind.

Anyone read the books Mystery of Talara?

I'm a bit confused. Is the one named Gyna actually Lady Jyllia or is she the princess? It's kinda confusing for me.

I've played Skyrim quite extensivley and can say, one of the greatest improvements (for myself) i found was in the magic system compared to Oblivion. Playing a High elf mage i was so very happy to see improvements over the old system of casting.

I've played them all. Started with Oblivion, don't really like Skyrim as much as I did the others, though. Fanboys might have something to do with that, though. Heheheh.

In any case, it's a wonderful series. In Daggerfall and Arena I rolled a mage of some sort, played mainly as Nightblades and Assassins in Oblivion, and in Skyrim I can never decide on a character. The most recent save I have is a breton stealth-mage, although most of mine have been Nordic beserkers. The only character I completely finished on was a Bosmer assassin. Not as good as Oblivion in terms of being addictive, but it was fun.

I'm considering remaking a char but what one I don't know. I have a Nord (really wish i could reset perks on it), High Elf, and Wood Elf.

You cold just go the D&D method and get a die, then set numbers regarding race, class, etc. Whatever the combo is is your character.

A "class" I found extremely entertaining was a conjuration archer. Conjure some atronachs, daedra, whatever, then conjure a bow and reign terror from a distance and let your minions do the rest.

Never thought of that really... I usually style the character to what it's supposed to be. I'm thinking I may try a Kahjiit for one of them. No clue how I'd play that one.

Okay that combination may just be fun as hell to try.... >.>

I found it very easy to get lost in this game. For instance, I was trying to escort some guy whose name I can't remember to whiterun and I spent half an hour trying to find him again.

Oh my gods, I need to try that now. .___.

I miss the games so much...I haven't been able to play for months because the computer we have just can't handle it that well at all (and it crashed, anyway). I played 199.4ish hours on that computer. You move the mouse, and about 1/2 to 3/4 of a second later the cursor on screen would move. I got killed so many times because of the delay. It was agonizing as heck, but I loved the game too much to quit. >.>;

I'm hoping to get a new one for Christmas.

I have a lot of love for Skyrim, both on pc and ps3. Currently using an archer character which is probably the most interesting playthrough I've done yet.

I'd like to play it, but I won't be able to as long as it's pay-to-play.

I have no clue if it is personally. I hope not really. I'd like to give it a shot at some point but I think I'll wait a few months after it's out so they can fix the bugs and things.

b.wait a year for the new one

c.other (explain)

I just hope that they keep the graphics low key enough that the average computer can play it. It won't be worth paying for if they have such great graphics that most computers can barely play it.

I've heard that it will be for who knows how long when it first comes out.

I just don't have money to pay monthly/yearly/whatever like that. Same reason why I can't play WoW (even though I really do want to).

I have no money, it'll probably have a demo or trail, like WoW has a starter one, it'll be like that, probably places will be locked and you can only get to a certan lvl before you stop leveling up, and also some items will be locked and some races.

Just wait for the online one to come out. That way you can start on a new game together. Makes it more fun.
