Posted August 25, 2011 (edited) Okay, so this is the sequel to my old role-play, Castle Hydra. You are a student at Atlantis High, a school that educated mythological creatures (humanoids only). It has been thirty years since Castle Hydra's destruction and the transference of a group of students to Atlantis High. However, the known terrorist, Paimon has recently surfaced, along with his accomplice, Ebony Noir. As the newest generation of Monsters, you must defend your world. Rules: 1) No moding, godmoding or powerplaying. 2) Three characters max. 3) Gory fights are fine. 4) Romance must be pg-13. 5) Put the word monster in the other section on your form. 6) No one is omnipotent. 7) No one's perfect. 8) Improper behaviour won't be tolerated (e.g. real life racism, not in game or directing singling out characters for no reasons). 9) If your character is killed, you can make a new one, or bring a minor character forward into major-dom. 10) If we started the RP without enough characters, the existing players can make more - I'll alert you of the changes in character maximums. 11) IMPORTANT: If you are coming from the original, then you must include a summary of what has happened in the last thirty years. (But in her years 1=300) Personality: A bit flirty, and likes to be at the center of attention, but really insecure. Other: She can't sing. At all. (Well, she can but not well. Quite horribly.) Don't mention it. She still acts like a flirty teenager, and hasn't matured much. She's dating Manny, who has become a water god. She still has internal confliction since her culture has always demanded that you mate for life, a scientific fact that you physically couldn't. Now that Jordan has proved that wrong, she's confliced. She also is deeply disturbed about her family's past with Jordan's tribe, and has been looking into it for a while. She now has her own restaurant she owns, humans through the left entrance, monsters in the right. She has collected recipes through her many years, and now her restaurant only serves the best, guaranteed!... NO seriously, you have a recipe, you need to bring it to her. Personality: Very quiet, only responds to an order or challenge. He has an almost animal-like way of moving and strikes easily. Other: He's blind. What a monster. He has now been working with Emily as a training subject, and is a master of nearly any weapon. He is still madly in love with Aza, who he met in school. Username: Lycrawaterz14 Character name: Jeordhean (Jordan) Species: Decayed Siren Powers: Fear-strength (The more afraid someone is, the stronger he gets), Stun (Yelling loud enough to disorient the attacker), Super speed, faster than any land-creature because it can work as fast as that land-creature through water too. Looks: I don't have picture... He had blackened hair, his bottom lip is still peirced, his emblackened veins that could be seen through his dark-brown skin, since his blood was quite literally 'dead' is now gone, a clear complexion. His eyes are green, and his second set of teet, similar to shark's teeth, are not constantly exposed anymore, except when he is extremely mad. Can control them. He is also tall and sort of thuggish in appearance. Age: Three thousand years older than Tia Personality: His parent's village was attacked, and only ten people were allowed to live, his mother and nine other survivors. His mother gave birth to him within a few months, and then she was killed. He was fed on the blood of his surviving tribe until they too were slaughtered... this time by him. He was tortured and trained until he virtually feels no pain now, and if he does he is to ignore it. He has two rules he must obey, keep Tia safe, and give her anything she wills for. ANYTHING. If she was to ask him for his head, he would have to cut it off himself. If she dies, he has failed, and must kill himself. Has an extraordinarily large amount of weapons on him. He is very quiet and withdrawn, except when with Emily. He's opened up a bit, but he is still constantly trying to comfort her, petting her on the back randomly, and smiling sometimes, as he was taught. Other: He is NOT allowed to love Tia. Besides, she thinks he's a monster. He has married Emily, and his son is Bucket. He's been quite hard on him, he expects a lot from him as far as self-defense, but since Bucket is more gangly than all-muscle like his father it's quite hard. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Username: padfoot Character name: Zeke Warr Species: skinwalker Powers: shift to a half wolf, a persuasive power he calls mezmer, and the ability to make his sprite leave his body which allows his to "walk" over into the human world, can imitate noises and sounds he hears, can project his tattoos off his body, and has a weak toxin in his saliva that causes partial numbness and hallucinations. Looks: human: tall tan Native American boy. His hair is no longer jet black, now it has thin streaks of grey due to his age and it runs down his back . His eyes are such a dark brown, they almost look black. Usually dresses baggy. His tribal tattoos have extended and became much more elaborate. wolf Age: 46 (looks 18) Personality: no longer a monster now that he is in control of his wolf half. Talks easily to people and is much less hostile. Still has trust issues and is very protective over Lorelei Other: After many years of flirting, playful dating and isolated encounters, Zeke and Lorelei fell in love. They are currently engaged and plan on getting married sometime soon. (in polluted or chlorine water) Think Mystique, but smoother lighter greenish blue skin, and webbed hands and feet with forearm and calf fins. (picture eventually) In shallow water its pretty much the same as above, except its very faint and you cant really tell except for the webbed hands and feet. Usually very stiff and formal around new people, although mischievous at heart. Still a jester and a clown among friends. Other: Aza's cousin, and is considered a horrible cook by most people who know him. During the last thirty years, he's lost the ability to heal but has become very adept at changing the moods of the people around him. Decided to study medicine to make up for his lost power, and has finished trying almost every course at almost every medical school. Now debating on studying biology or astrophysics. Monster. Username: frostmourne Character name: Jared Sapiens Species: Spirit Powers: Plant manipulation and slight control of speeding up or reversing growth or development in biotic and inanimate objects. If the object is to stay in that state, it must be constantly maintained or it will revert to its original appearance. Looks: About nineteen with tousled brown hair. Eye color constantly shifts from dark brown to bright green and back. Rather thin and fragile looking. Wears a dark green, high collared cloak nearly all the time. Age: 342 Personality: Quiet and soft spoken. Hates violence and recklessness. More a scholar and spends most of his time experimenting or with his head buried in a book. Meticulously polite but keeps to himself when he can. Treats his important experiments with a burning obsession and is incredibly stubborn at times. A bit meek, but doggedly loyal. Other: For the last thirty years, he's made a couple important scientific breakthroughs along with several less important ones. Has been teaching in various different schools for two year periods. If he gets upset, however, it will not turn out good. He's still as protective of his sister as he was when they were in highschool. He never visited his parents, and Kaitlyn never mentioned him, knowing it would be safer to keep them out of any of this. Posted August 27, 2011 READY, SET, GO!! It was the first day of the year as Kori dragged his bags through the portal. His father used it to get to the Atlantis Law Enforcement Unit’s headquarters, but today Kori and his sister were given passage from their home in Japan to Atlantis. He smiled at the cliff-side city, the capital of Gaia and home to Atlantis High, where his mother and father had been taught. He wished he could just evaporate and expect someone to take his bags for him, but he wasn’t brought up to be a slacker, so he hauled the three bags with him up the marble steps of Atlantis High. Posted August 27, 2011 "Kaeyla!" Tia yelled. She had went over to Jordan's house since she got lonely waiting on Manny. Kaeyla was asleep on Bucket's couch in his room. Kaeyla slowly drug down the stairs, still looking pretty even with her blonde hair messy. "Time to go to school, you're going to be late!!!" She fussed. "Go brush your hair and I'll braid it for you." Tia chided. "I'd rather you didn't." Kaeyla sighed. Tia looked outraged. "Brush it. Now." She glared. Kaeyla sighed. "This isn't our house... I don't want to use Emily's brush..." She muttered. Bucket was throwing on his shirt as he came down the stairs, wrestling with it. He grabbed his bag and tried to run out the door. "I'm not leaving for a few minutes, Bucket. Go get you some muffins on the stove." She smiled. Bucket smiled and got him a muffin. Jordan jumped and woke up at Tia's screaming. "Dammit... Emily? Posted August 27, 2011 Emily was walked past the open door holding a washing basket laden with Bucket's dirty, adolescent clothes. '... Maybe ...' And she was gone. Manannán mac Lir (Manny's full title) was busy with paperwork in his office, the Gaian oceans were becoming gradually more polluted and he had to work out fish should be, what currents should be where, which directions they should be going. Posted August 27, 2011 A lone figure sat on a wooden bridge, toes dangling a few inches from the cold water of the stream below, listening to the plaintive song of a wood thrush. Aza could almost hear words in bird's song. Eyes still closed, she started writing in the open notebook in front of her. I listened long to your story, Listened but could not hear. When you chose to walk that path so overgrown, I remained alone with my fear. Cold silence covers the distance, Streched from shore to shore. I follow in my mind your far off journeying, But I will walk that path no more. The shock of icy water jerked her back to reality, and she dropped the book in the stream. "Adrian!" "Wake up!" he laughed, stepping back. "I was not asleep!" she said, glaring at him. "You weren't awake either. We have to go." he said, dragging her away from the bridge and the forest. The two made their way to the vast garden behind her mansion. "Where are we going?" He didn't reply, tearing through the flower beds. "To visit some old friends. I'm bored." "Why are you dragging me along?" she demanded. "Because Jared's in London, and I don't have anyone else to annoy." She gave up arguing and gestured to the black snake sunning itself on a mossy stone. Posted August 28, 2011 (@Sakura, this is why i advised you to read the original RP, there are no, or very few humans in this world, its parallel to earth and its reality and was separated by witches who wanted to protect the humans from the monster supremisists (spelt wrong ....). it would only make sense if you were in the human world, and the only way to get to the monster world from there is by portal, or by travelling a certain road, but there are only seventeen of those in the entire world.) Posted August 28, 2011 Zeke finished his food way faster than he should have and rose from the table to put his dish away, "Well we better get going to Atlantis before we are late on the first day", he said, rounding up his bag and starting for the door. He walked outside and took a deep breath of the island air, "time for another year", he said to himself. Other: Kaitlyn ended up marrying Ryu, and had two children. She wound up becoming a photographer, though she still loves to sing in her spare time.
