"I'll go for a walk in the woods!" I thought. "It will be fun!" I thought. And what do I do after five minutes of trying unsuccessfully to reach the creak? Twist my ankle, badly. The very same ankle I sprained at ballet when I was six, that still hurts occasionally in the mornings. Well it hurts like heck now. I can hardly put my weight on it. I feel like a weak, incompetent idiot, injuring myself by stepping wrong. I just wanted to go outside and explore, but end up getting a sore ankle and embarrasing myself. I want to say I'll never go back to the woods, but I am NOT going to let an English ivy-covered rock make a fool of me.
