I mostly do traditional art, but I've been trying to get better at doing pixel work, so I'd like for you guys to request some from me :] My only rules are no requesting humans (or humanoids), no requesting something huge (I'd prefer to do DC sprite sized work for now), and no requesting anything that is really complicated (because I'm just a beginner).

I am only just beginning to explore making pixel art, so I can't guarantee your requests will look as good as any of the examples above, but since practice makes perfect, for all I know they could turn out better.

And speaking of practice makes perfect, if there is something you don't like about your finished request, or there is something in the art or technique itself that looks wrong, let me know, and I'll try to fix it up.

You got some awesome art here. Mind if I make a request?

 

Twas wondering if you could draw 2 dragons hugging sort of like http://tashrin.deviantart.com/#/d42en4w

 

Male dragon kind of have a dark blue shiny coloration for the main body scales and for the under scales have it a lighter blue. Eye's say silver. Have the body kind of a bulky look but still not to bulky.

 

For the female a purple coloration for main scales and a black for underscales. Eye's are a soft silver as well, body is a gracefull look to it. Shiny scales.

 

Either could have there wings wrapped around each other.

 

Tis that ok? Sketch or pixel up to ya (though if possible pixel.)

Can you sprite a quill, as in a writing utensil? If so, I need two of them. One red, another blue.

Possibly. I never have before, but I cam give it a shot. How big do you want them?

Could you draw a swallowtail with intense green eyes, And with the word 'Scroll' . Maybe the sawllowtail could have its wings out and be growling?

Hm... I don't know if the sprite artists allow other people to do other sprites of their dragons. I'm not sure though. I'll ask around to be sure.

Thank-you! They look awesome! Would you mind doing one more tiny request? The last thing I need as far as pixel art wise on my website is a lock. Like a lock for a key.. But I don't need the key.

The size should be around the same dimensions as the quills.

can you sprite a Thanator (if not, then maybe a viperwolf) from Avatar (the movie with Pandora).

 

If you can't do either of those, how's a crow sound?

 

I don't care on size or position or anything else.

do you think you can sprite an ekran(i think that's what it's called)? That dragonlike thing that the people ride on from the movie Avatar? in a blueish hue, if you can. Thanks <3

Looking good. I know I can;t do that stuff my self. I tried and got.... blobs, not dragons lol. blobs of color. If ya want I think I still got them to to show lol.

Thank you All it takes is practice. I used to be reeeaaalllyyy bad. I still have trouble outlining things, so I have to push myself to make the outline look good.

 

It's going alright. The pose you chose is pretty hard... I've gotten a bit better at coloring since I started your request too. I may just restart it from the beginning D: The upside to that would be that it would most likely look better than what I have now for your request.

Now that I have gotten a bit better, I can see some definate things that need fixing, like the shading, highlights, some of the outlines -.- With your permission, I'd like to restart it... But while it's here, I should ask: Do you like the colors so far?

Would you like your ikran to be dark blue or light blue? Blue-green or blue-purple? There are sooo many different options
