Book number 12 Number of pages 1072 Book title: Under the Dome Author Stephen King Summary: A small town is cut off from the rest of the world, when for some unknown reason a dome, covers the entire town. Chaos and more reigns as the, political leaders of the town try to create further fear and problems. A once Iraq vet -now short order cook tries to fight against the crime, figure out what is going on and help the military who are parked outside the dome. Book number 13 Number of pages 923 Book title - The Bachman Books Author - Richard Bachman/Stephen King Summary: Four stories one dealing with a troubled teen ager who one day seems to snap kills a couple of teachers and then sits in a classroom where they share secrets about one another and in the end seem to drive one of their peers into sheer insanity. The Long Walk- features 99 young men walking in the ultimate contest where losing means death and winning is suppose to earn you plenty of money. But of course all is not as it seems. The Running Man- a contest in the future, where the longer you can elude being found the more money one might earn. Book number 14 Number of pages: 305 Book title - Escaping Daddy Author: Maria Landon A young girl is abused by her father, more so after the mother leaves and abandons her children to escape the abusive man. The girl comes to believe her father's lies and tries to find a way to get away from her father. In time she does manage to escape him, become a mother and try to raise her family right while dealing with her past. A bit disturbing but good read. Book number 15 Number of Pages:218 Book title: Ivan a Pound dog's views of Life, love and leashes Author: Tim Mchugh Ivan, a dog who has a strange shaped head, a missing eye and a snaggletooth is adopted by a family. He tells his story of the people who make up his life, the times he roams loose and is returned to his family, the births and deaths in the family. Rating: (optional) Review: (optional) The writing was tolerable and the plot was okay I guess but it wouldn't be among the stories I'd recommend. It's rated PG13 but I don't remember there being anything more than kissing and maybe one or two scenes of a rather bland sex. Rating: 5/5 Review: A different angle on the story of the black ghost dog, this is a very entertaining read. A bit of a slow start, but it picks up really quick.
