Plot

Our goverment now is very different from our goverment in the earlier ages of the world, such as in the time of Kings and Queens. In what is now Europe and Asia, there was a kingdom ruled by a single royal family: The Dragomirs. Lady and Sir Dragomir had four children: Lady Lovissa, Sir Charles, Lady Mariee, and Sir Richard, and each was to inherit their own piece of the kindom. When Lady and Sir Dragomir passed away, the four children each inherited their piece of land. The kingdoms flourished for some time before Sir Richard made an attempt on Lady Mariee's life, looking to take her crown. Then they all gradually grew apart. Shipments of goods stopped, crops were unwatered in the desert areas, and poverty gripped the land.

Becoming more and more paranoid, one of the children, Lady Lovissa started The Agency. She selected ten faithful servants to serve as her personal bodygaurds. Though they were not selected for that reason alone, each had another trait in common. They all had two different colored eyes. They were known as Graced Children. Each graced child had a higher than normal capacity in a certain field. Some were masters of the sword, never to fall against a normal swordsman. Some were dancers, jugglers, cooks, or singers. Of course, Lady Lovissa picked none of those. She picked her fighters to be part of this agency. They soon became more than just agents. Across the land, they were known as Angels of Death as they delivered death so precisley no one would really try to fight. If they appeared, your death was soon to come.

Afraid that Lady Lovissa had made this group to kill them, her siblings each created their own Agencies, as protection. However, each sibling saw the other's Agencies as threats to themselves, and so the land was at war with itself. The Agencies were busier than ever before, being sent past enemy lines to kill Lords and Ladies, or being told to stay with a Lord or Lady as protection, and of course each sibling had their own protection detail. Their detail usually consisted of three to four, or perhaps even five agents. These agents stayed with the King or Queen at all times, and were usually the ones that provided information to The Agency (more info below) about the plans, attacks, or defenses that the King or Queen was going to use.

The Agents however, were beginning to realize that all they did was kill, protect, and kill. Of course as young children to young adults, not many liked the thought. So they called a truce with other Agencies and gathered in secret. They disscussed many things, foremost being the destruction to the land, and how to stop it. They all agreed on one thing: the Kings and Queens must be stopped. And so the real Agency was formed. They did things without anyone knowing, or figuring out who it was, as they were trained to do. They acted as double agents, performing their duties, but letting the other agents stop them. In addition, they also stopped raids, and protected citizens from their own King or Queen.

The Kings and Queens by now are beginning to wonder who is stopping their forces, and how to beat them. The Agents of course know this, and are beginning to fear for themselves as well as the citizens of the land, for if they are discovered, there is no telling what the Kings and Queens would do. The Agents only wish to protect the lives of the innocent, who have no say in matters beyond their control. Yet, ironically, the people the citizens should admire and love... Are cursed and hated by many. The Agents know, however that if these wars continue, there shall be no one left to curse them, because they will have all died either in battle or starvation... Whichever comes first.

Accepted Characters

Username: Marcus Pheonix

Name: Darren

Personality: Darren despises the agency, after not being allowed to join. He wishes that Lady Lovissa to protect her people, not hurt them. He is a very passionate person when it comes to citizens. His two wishes are to avenge his parents deaths and to kill a member of the almighty agency in front of civilians to prove that they are not perfect.

Appearence: Darren is short. 5.3ft he has dirty blond hair that hangs out over his face. A black cloth is used to keep the hair out of his eyes. He has one astonishingly blue eye and one white eye. He is generally clad in a poor quality brown shirt and torn pants, as well as a glove on his left hand and a metal greave on his right.

Gender: Male

Job: Mercenary, he usually does assassination and protection jobs

History: He had a happy up bringing. His father was a butcher while his mother was a baker. His parents cared for him and would always tell him he'd grow up and take over the business. Darren was a graceling with one blue eye and one green eye. However there was a raid and his house was burned down, his parents both dying. Darren was blinded in his green eye. Without a home Darren was looked after by his uncle who was a border guard. Darren was determined how to fight so that he could eventually find and seek revenge on those who killed his parents. Although no matter how hard he tried he was hopeless with a sword. However fighting was in his blood and Darren became highly skilled at shooting targets with a crossbow and basic hand to hand fighting. He requested to join the guard of Lady Lovissa but was denied due to his blindness. Since then Darren has hated anything to do with the local Monarch, and become a mercenary.

Kingdom: Adornetti

Weapons: Generally hand to hand, but he has a wrist only gauntlet on his left hand and the greave on his right. and a crossbow.

Other: He has the grace ability, where gravity scarcely affects him. He can nearly run up walls and can jump very high and survive some very high falls.

Username: Chuzuka

Name: Xavier Dilme (del-eh-meh) Lightwood

Appearance: First noticeable thing about Xavier is that he is tall, reaching a height of 6'2 with a sturdy, muscled build. Like most people residing in Paludis, he has a tanned complexion but it is in no way unmarred. His body carries a numerous amount of scars; gained from battles and his attempts to protect his King. He has jet black hair and bears the Gracling, mismatched eyes: One a deep gold, and the other an emerald green.

Gender: Male

Personality: Xaiver a big ego. He knows what he is and what he isn't and it doesn't matter what you think about him. He is immune to both comments as well as compliments, because he knows whether he is right or wrong. Clearly, he is a tad arrogant, a trait is relishes in. Xavier has perfect control over his emotions and he always retains his faultless poise. You will hardly see his emotions being reflected on his face, whether it's a blush or a flush. Infact, Xavier deliberately practices a vacant look. The same goes for his body posture, you will hardly see him pacing around in nervousness. However, behind this impeccable composure is his torrid inner nature.

Fiercely determinated, Xavier has a strong willpower and is not the one to accept defeat easily. He's honest... very honest. To the point of hurting someone. If you have asked for his opinion, you will get the brutal truth, without any sugar coating. He never gives false compliments and does not know how to flatter. However, if he does say something nice to you, be sure that it is truly sincere and is coming straight from the heart. Most people never have neutral feelings for Xavier; one will either be amongst his dedicated admirers or malicious enemies. However, no one challenges him openly, not even the most spiteful of enemies. Xavier has this lingering charm around him and is extremely sympathetic towards the sick or miserable. He is fearless and can stand anything from physical pain to poverty.

Xavier is extremely loyal and will go to the length of laying down his life for his loved ones. He also as an exceptionally good memory. He never forgets an act of benevolence and always remembers to repay it. Similarly, he remembers any pain caused to him, though the reaction may differ. If you are close to him, you will feel extremely protected and cared for. He is also fiercely possessive of what he believes to be his. If Xavier really wants to do something, it will never remain a dream forever. He will find one or the other way to get what he wants. He is very passionate about everything around, even his home. However, beneath his tough exterior is a gentle heart that knows how to love and care.

Grace: Graced with Survival; not to say he cannot be killed, but he can survive in situations where the average person cannot.

King or Queen: Sir Richard

History: Xavier childhood was normal to say the least. He was the only son to the village blacksmith, and had taken up his father's trade when he had hit his teens. The fact that he was a Graceling never bothered his family - but it did make him less then popular with other kids his age. His mother died during childbirth, so he never knew her, but his father eventually remarried, and though he wasn't close to his step mother, he was glad to see his father happy. Well into his teens, Xavier partook in the city spar tournaments and caught the eye of the merchants daughter, Arianna.

The two courted for only a few months before getting married. Her parents were to pleased, but his father gave full supprt. The two were not married for long - two years into their marriage, Arianna was killed during a raid that befell the village, taking their first unborn child with her. Rage like no other had consumed Xavier, motivating him to seek revenge on those to fell his family. After slaughtering his targets, Xavier's determination had piped the interest of King Richard, where he is now currently working for as an Agent.

Weapons:Two handed, double edged blade. Dirk in in his book, and throwing knives.

Other: Nope

Username: Songbreeze2012 (Song)

Name: Anri Maliki

Appearence: No one has ever really seen him, he doesn't let anyone have that chance. He wears a black cloak, the face mask and hood always pulled up and covering his face and ebony black hair. His eyes, of course, are the two different colors of Graced but his are different. His right eye has a scar that cuts across it, leaving his eye undamaged by a miracle but changing the color to a dull red. Under the cloak, he normally wears dark tunics and pants. Beneath that, pale scars dance across his tan skin. Each scar has a story, and he knows ever story like he knows the back of his hand. Most of them came from torture sessions, some from war, and some simply came from growing up as he did. The only three scars ever visible to others is the on across his eye and the two circling his wrists from the many varying shackles he's wore.

Gender: Male

Personality: No one really knows, but everyone calls him a demon because of the few times he's let his anger seep through. He's never known a kind hand in all his years and suspects he never will. Growing up as he did, he learned not to care for others if it risked ones own life. But, he did anyway. He always took another's place in beatings, torturings. He's always wanted to protect others. No one knows this part of him because in recent years he's careful to hide it.

Grace: For years, he always figured his gift was to kill. That his Grace was to end others lives. But, thanks to certain recent events, he knows his gift is survival, both his own and others.

King or Queen: Sir Charles

History: Where other Graced had parents, at least for a short time, he did not. From the time he was born, other street urchins raised him, and in turn he helped them survive. When he was ten, a good friend of his was killed in a fight and ever since he's been the way he is today. He was in and out of prisons and torture chambers since he was seven or so, so he was already growing cold. He learned to fight young and his temper, anger, was quickly under his control.

When he was sixteen, he went to his first war. He came back in one piece, but even more distant. On his eighteenth birthday, Charles found him and enlisted him as an Agent once he'd confirmed Anri's Grace. In recent months, Anri has found out exactly what his gift truly is and a sort-of peace has settled within him, his unscarred eye showing it.

Weapons: Due to his gift, any object can become a weapon. He's used broomstick, drinking cups, even once he used a burning log while completely avoiding burning himself. But, he keeps daggers on his person jet in case nothing else is in arm's reach.

Other: Nothing I can think of.

Username:9pmg5665

Name:Charles

Gender:male

Kingdom name: la amazones(am-a-zone-s)

Capital city: Le pew de capiton(cap-i-tone)

Land description: His land has been very generous to his people and always has been. He has taken well care of it if not nursing it. His people have been very kind to him and his orders but he is rather arrogant and gives away his supplies quite willingly but that has coursed badly for him.

He has angry mobs coming to his kingdom but that is rarer then other country officials arguing with him. That has caused many people to join the mobs or move to another country. And as said before many people move back to his kingdom and others move from others. He does this still and does this still but reads the negotiation paper before agreeing to it.

Personality:Charles is somewhat of a womanizer. He is known for taking advantage of woman on the streets from poverty. Giving money to them in exchange for a night. His servants all pretend not to notice the woman that wake alone in one of his many beds across the castle. In turn lending to both his servants and his "Escort" a kind helping hand and giving them washed pressed and clean clothes.

Appearance:Charles's is a young dirty blonde and very attractive. That included minorly muscular, good hair, ruler of a kingdom, a golden tongue(figuratively of course as in knowing what to say), and an almost perfect face.He uses these to his advantage anytime he can or wants.

History:He is quite adventorous and was banned from Mariee's court for making an attempt on her Agent Lily. It was the night her Grace was revealed. He still has neck pains from the day. Luckily he was saved by one of his (not knowing it yet)agents(blade) and in turn made him a private soldier and a to-be-agent.

Username: Kamiko_Cullen

Name: Krystal

Appearance: A young lady, about the age of sixteen. She has blonde-brown hair that's normally pulled back. Her eyes are clear sapphire blue and emerald green. She is about five foot, with a slender build. She also has a necklace she normally keeps hidden. It's an unusual pendant, it has a touch of purple in the middle of the clear crystal. She tends to wear white with a hint of orchid, but she wears brown from time to time.

Gender: Female

Personality: She is mainly unpredictable. She can be happy one moment, then sad the next. She is a little shy, but when you get to know her, she can be very loud and social. She is fiercely loyal and will give her life for her Queen. She will not, however, give her life for someone she dislikes.

Grace: She is skilled in swordplay.

King or Queen: Lady Lovissa

History: She turned around, her dress swirling around her as she did so. She charged, taking her sword and running it through the dummy's heart. She took her sword out and sheathed it. It was a clean kill. Not too much, not too little. Her family would have been proud.

Her family ... She closed her eyes at the thought. Her mother and father had been killed by Lady Mariee's army. They were thought to be Agents of Lady Lovissa. She was an only child of a somewhat wealthy family, but that had ended abruptly when her parents were murdered. She was only thirteen at the time. The only thing to remind her of her parents was the necklace. She sighed, wishing she could get revenge. She had heard of The Agents of Lady Lovissa, but she dared not approach them. She was too shy to make her skill in swordplay known to the kingdom. She was a lady, after all. Nobody ever looked at them in respect, only disgust.

"That was a good kill."

Krystal whipped around, her sword at her side. It was an agent, one of Lady Lovissa's! "What do you want?" she spat. She glared at the agent.

"I was watching your swordplay. You're talented, I could tell in every movement of yours. It was as if you were dancing, your footwork is amazing, your grace is like a swan on a lake, and your skill is astonishing. Who taught you swordplay?" the agent asked.

"Nobody taught me. I taught myself." Krystal replied sharply. She was interested in why this agent came to her and not anyone else.

"Even more astonishing." the agent murmured, half to himself. "Would you like to become an agent?"

Krystal stared at the agent, her eyes narrowed in suspicion. Was this some sort of trick? If it was, she was sure she could get away with minor injuries. But what if it wasn't a trick? Would Lady Lovissa take a female agent? "I would." she replied.

A few days later, she was in the presence of the Lady herself. She bowed respectfully: Lowly lady to High Lady of the land. She waited for permission to speak from Lady Lovissa. When she received it, she told the Lady her past, then finished with explaining her skill.

Weapons: A silver sword with an intricately designed hilt

Other: Krystal has been quiet about her family. She has no relatives she knows of.

Username: gistofeverything

Name: Roxanne

Appearence: A 6-foot tall redhead, with scars all over her hands from slipping on arrowheads. She wears a short mid-thigh length dress and straw sandals. Being so tall, she also has a deeper voice than most females do. When she attends social events with Mariee, she wears a dark blue petticoat dress with 3 strings of pearls.

Gender: Female

Personality: She is quiet, and shy; and she doesn’t speak much to anyone but her trusted friends. Being such a social outcast, she almost always does assignments by herself with no help, even though Mariee says she needs it. When she does say something, though, she says it with such passion and conviction that everyone will believe it.

Grace: She has deadly accuracy of about 97.4%. She’s one of those people who can split arrows on a bulls-eye.

King or Queen: Queen Mariee

History: When she was born, she didn’t make any noise. No crying, no cooing, or even trying to talk. Her parents were so worried for her that they had went to the best infirmary in Wynona, and they diagnosed her as being insane. They were so disgusted by this, that late one night, they threw Roxanna out with the rubbish. Roxanna wouldn’t do anything about it, either.

If Lady Mariee hadn’t seen her in their rubbish pile that next morning, Roxanne wouldn’t be here today. When her parents moved to Rome, Mariee took care of the child and raised her.

When she also found out she was Graced, Mariee didn’t act like most parents did, and turned her into the courts, she enlisted Roxanne into her own Agency. Roxanne didn’t mind, because this woman took care of her, fed her, and clothed her, which is a whole lot more than her own parents would have done.

Weapons: A rosewood longbow with arrowheads dipped in firestick secretions.

Other: Roxanne does not know about the True Agency.

Username: gistofeverything

Name: Lady Mariee Dragomir

Gender: Female

Kingdom Name: Envirium

Capitol City: Wynona

Description of Land: A land of utter perfection, Envirium is definitely one of the better pieces of land that Mariee could have gotten. It was simply elegant, everything was just right. The clothing was made from the finest silks, pillows were padded with the best down, and the jewelry was exquisite. The cobblestone roads were seldom broken through wear, and war has never really ravaged this town; when it had, it was always easy to rebuild. The land was almost as well as her sister’s, and when she wished for some floral life in her town, she sent her Agents to ask Lovissa for some flowers. They were always the best, for that was what Lovissa was named for, right?

Wynona was the icing of the cake, though. What the rest of Envirium didn’t have, Wynona did. The finest schools in her land, the best blacksmiths, the fine artisans. Everything was peaked in Wynona. The city life had little to no riots, for everyone was happy, or so she thinks. Mariee tries to do the best for her subjects, by not taxing too much, having few laws, and a strict guard by her Agents. She thinks that everything will continue to be like this, but obviously, it won’t.

Personality: Mariee is selfless, and will always try to help others if it is in her power to do so. When she sees someone hurt or bleeding, she picks them up herself and rushes them to a place of safety. She is always giving public funds to the needy of other lands, knowing that it might give her a less luxurious life, but she doesn’t care. As long as someone doesn’t have to starve that night, she is grateful.

Appearance: She has strawberry-blonde hair flowing past her kneecaps, that she wears down when she is away. She only wears it up when she is addressing her people. Even then, she only wears it in a simple rope braid down her back. She isn’t the type for petticoats and corsets. She prefers dresses that don’t impede movement, and, when the occasion calls for it, breeches. She didn’t want a glamorous city, but she got it anyway.

History: Being the third child gave her the responsibility of watching over Richard as she was growing up. She had to make sure he wasn’t hurt, to make sure he had been properly fed, the sort. She had always wanted to do Charles’ work and chores though. She wanted to dress like a boy, work like a boy, and even be a boy. Her parents always scolded her every time she put on a pair of breeches; “You’re a lady, Mariee, so act like one.” Richard on the other hand, though. She was jealous of him. Richard had it made, he got to wear breeches, he got to go chop firewood, while she got to do laundry and cook supper. So she always secretly helped Richard with all of his chores – not because he asked, but because she wanted to.

Mariee and Richard hadn’t spoken for quite a while, and she was feeling rather adventurous, so she went to go speak with her younger brother. She thought that the land of Palus was extraordinary! Mud and dirt everywhere, wood needing to be chopped, and food to be hunted. This was great! She was tired of living like a princess; she wanted to farm the earth for food rather than have someone cook her something and bring it to her on a silver platter. When she was listening to him talk about the glory of Paludis, she thought “That’s it! I have what he wants, and he has what I want, why not trade the two lands, and we’ll both be happy!” She had decided to follow the same approach Richard by bringing all of the topics of interest up about Envirium, when suddenly, he struck her. She was shocked by this, and over and over again, he apologized, but she couldn’t hear it. Richard who had everything she ever wanted, and then to do this to her? She left, and since then, she hasn’t set foot outside her lands, or talked to Richard again. She can only barely talk to Lovissa, but even that’s degrading.

Other: She has lost all confidence in herself after Richard’s attack, and can hardly ask for her Agents to do anything.

Username:9pmg5665

Name:Blade

Appearance: wears a mask over his face and has blonde morning like hair. His eyes are a dark red and has scars on his back from torture. He is not very muscular and wears dark clothes with symbols of his enemies flags that have an X through it if the country has been conquered by his. He has dark leggings that resemble many things and change from time-to-time.

Gender: male

Personality: Blade has been used as a spy before and that is most of what he knows. He hates when his anybody does evades his questions and often scares them to answering. on his "off" time he hangs out at the local tavern or is out exploring the nearby lands and is considerably evil to most and to himself. Most people mistake him for a ninja but is not and considers himself a duelist and does so with honor.

Grace: Blade had been chosen for his ability to change his apperance if needed on his skin but he has to have had physical contact with that person before even if it is just a tiny poke which has come in handy for most of his work at most times.

King or Queen: charles

History: Blade has had a very hard life. Both of his parents left him when he was 5 and he had no training on his grace except that he knew how to activate it at anytime he wanted. He lived as a farm boy for very small work money but was still more of an urchin then a worker. hence he had enough money when he was 14 he soon joined the military posing as a son of a famous veteran.

2 years later he had found an old man who had the same grace as him. thee old man then teached him how to use it properly and when to use it. The old man said that if he could do it properly and when to do it that the kid could live with him.Blade knew he could do it but doing it properly was the hard part.2 years later he came back from a war with scars on his back and an X on his shirt on top of an enemy nation. The now adult performed it perfectly and now lived in king Charles's country. He was chosen as the old man recommended that he could do the job and was chosen as an agent when he was 18.

Weapons: one sword and a throwing dagger.

Other: (did I miss something?) no you did not.

Username: Neutual Demon

Name: Yalio

Personality: A rather quiet fellow, he tries not to step onto anyone’s toes, simply following orders that are given to him. He does not show his emotions, but lets them broil inside his chest until he’s alone, where he takes it out violently on items at hand, such as walls, plates, and tables. Afterwards he’s quick to clean up so no one would notice his rage. However, due to his appearance, he is grateful for the small things that he gets, for in many areas, he would be simply run out of town without question.

Appearence: Yalio is average height of around 5’7’’ with scraggily white hair. Pale skin is pulled over narrow cheekbones of his long, but thin face. Pale red eyes peer from underneath long eyebrows that hold a curious, but shy look in them while his lips are drawn into a thin line. His clothing consists of simple tan tunic with only a few stains on it, accompanied with linen trousers that are a bit too long for him and are tucked into his simple leather boots that are a bit worn.

Gender: Male

Job: He does odd jobs around the kitchens in the castle, usually peeling or paring vegetables.

History: Yalio has been scowled and spat upon all his life for his curse for being born as an albino. Many think little of him, a freak and nothing else. His mother tried to raise him, but she couldn’t do it on her own and left him when he was old enough to take care of himself. Yalio wandered from town to town in search of someplace to stay or work at, however, his looks gave him difficulty to even stay in a village for more than ten minutes. He found his way to the castle, finding himself a job in the kitchens when there were little people on hand for work. Many things he does is during the night, such as cleaning and reorganizing for the next day, or they’re jobs that don’t require him to work with more than three others such as peeling, so not very many people interact with him enough to criticize him.

Kingdom: Richard

Weapons: Anything on hand. A knife perhaps.

Other:

Username: Sylverfinger

Name: Senka

Appearance: Is noticeably shorter than most her age. She has black hair and wears simple brown forester clothes with a green and gray cloak. Has a sword and a dagger, though mostly prefers the sword. Her hair is usually free and straight. She is lean yet graceful, and has one gray eye and one green eye. She has lean, yet powerful muscles, and is built like a runner.

Gender: Female

Personality: Cool and calculating at most times, though if challenged to fight, will do so with passion. Will fight if insulted as well. If angered, takes a while to cool down. Is slow to forgive and has a good memory for grudges. Hates people not contributing their fair share and people who have weak mental strength and intelligence. Is very smart.

Grace: Can break into minds and guard her own against intruders if needed, though both take effort and energy to do.

King or Queen: Sir Charles

History: Has been brought up in a group consisting of five extended families who, as their tradition, have been trained to camouflage into their surroundings. They call themselves the Mists, and every one of them have a cloak similar to hers. After completing the training, she made her way into the world and acquired her sword and knife. She had traveled to Sir Charles's lands and, on her way, was ambushed by a group of bandits. She killed every one, except for one, leaving him severely wounded. The remaining bandit escaped to the village and told the villagers of her, and soon the word spread to Sir Charles. Soon after, she was enlisted in his agency.

Weapons: A sword and a dagger.

Other: Due to her cloak, she can sometimes seem to just melt away into her surroundings. Is uncommonly good at wielding the sword. Is yet to discover the True Agency.

Username: Kokay

Name: William Jones (Goes by Will or any other alias)

Appearance: Will has short cropped dirty blonde hair. His skin is lightly tanned and often covered in a layer of mud. He wears near weightless dark brown clothing that doesn't keep him very warm. To compensate for the lack of warmth, he has a mottled green and grey cloak. Will is short and lanky. His height is a whopping 5'2". His thin body is well muscled, but it simply does not show half as well as if he were built larger. His eyes are a dark brown that is so dark, it appears black.

Gender: Male

Personality: Will is a jolly soul. He has a true love for music. He loves making people laugh, but sadly has a bad sense of humor. He has the patience of a saint and nothing seems to faze him too badly. Will likes to take his time on most things but is easily distracted. If he's not focusing all his attention on something, then he doesn't finish it. Will is slow to anger and quick to forgive. Things don't bother him for very long and he doesn't like to dwell on things.

Grace: Stealth. Will can practically disappear anywhere he wants

King or Queen: None yet

He was always very acrobatic and tried his hand at being a juggler. However, it wasn't his strong suit. The young man did, however, have an affinity for a musical instrument called the lute. Ever since, Will has kept his lute with him and is very careful with it, keeping it clean and safe at all times.

Will has been almost recruited to the Agency many times, however he was able to escape each time. Being a naturally passive person, Will would never like to be in an Agency. Currently, however, he is anyone's game. If they are able to catch him before he disappears, that is.

Other: He has very well honed natural skills. Including, climbing, speed, strength, and accuracy.

Username: Chuzuka

Name: Tessa Marie Grey

Appearance: Tessa is about 5’5 and looks as though she weighs 50kg. She has a small, but average, toned built from training. Tess is lighter than most people who trained out in the sun, but still earned the tanned colouring of her skin. She has long, flaming hair of primarily red, with streaks of gold and copper, that reach her hips if loose – but Tessa prefers her hair up in a classic ponytail. She bears two traditional tribal tattoos – one on the outer side of her right thigh and the other on her lower back. Tessa is usually clad in men's gear, a loose white tunic over brown breeches and a pair of dark, knee length, brown leather boots. One eye is a silver grey, the other a deep blue.

Gender: Female

Personality: Tessa is strong and silent. In the first instance, Tessa comes across as an extremely quiet and reserved person. Only after you get close to her will you have a proper conversation, rather than simple monologues. Once Tessa has made up her mind, it is impossible to change it - even slightly. If you don't her, she comes across as a very easygoing person. You push her somewhat and she becomes stubborn. If you are still trying to make her budge, beware of her violent temper. Tessa is hardly impulsive and never gets angry without a reason. Infact, she has almost perfect control over her emotions. However, when she DOES get angry, it is better not to get in her way or you are bound to get trampled. Her anger also takes time to come down. While stubborn doesn't even begin to cover how big of a stick-in-the-mud she is, it still fits well. She won't bend to make others happy. Her flexibility is limited by her will to aid others. Tessa is nothing if not loyal and dedicated to her family and friends. She has a funny bone too; it's just that she prefers broad and slapstick comedy to subtle humor. Tessa is not prone to wandering. She loves luxury, but detests waste and extravagance. Last but not the least, She is dependable, strong, patient and trustworthy.

Grace: It was believed that Tessa was Graced with hand-to-hand combat, but her true Grace is perception. She is able to sense the world around her and the thoughts of others, but only when they are directed at her. These senses come to her automatically and she has no control whatsoever with her ability.

King or Queen: Sir Richard

History: Tessa Grey was born into a poverty-stricken family, thanks to the royal sibling who ran that part of the kingdom. Her mother died of fever when she was six, and since then was burdened with the responsibilities of the household. Although poor, her father was one of the smartest men she has ever known. He was part of the old military set up by Sir Dragomir, and was once a mighty soldier. When Tessa was growing up, he would teach her the basics moves of fighting, demonstrating the importance of knowing how to defend herself without any weapons. It was a simple time. At the age of fourteen, Tessa was taken to her first court function at Sir Richard's palace. It was such a beautiful and luxurious place that Tessa felt furious. Here sat Sir Richard, throwing magnificent parties whilst his people were worked to death. Her grace was publicly known when, left by herself for a few moments, Tessa was getting pestered by local serving boy whose thoughts she could read inside her mind. Frightened by his lewd plans, she reacted with mere instinct, crushing her palm into his nose, sending him unconscious. Needless to the say the act had caught Sir Richards attention.

After a long interrogation, the court had caught sight of her mismatched eyes and was dumbfounded. It was thought all the Graced children were already found. Learning of her 'skill', she was appointed as one of Sir Richards guards and thus began her job as mercenary. It didn't bother her at first - the killing. But when her father was mutilated and crippled for not giving over his daughter to an arranged marriage, Tessa all but lost it. Her prime duty was to attempt to right her wrong doings and protect those who she once was threat too.

Weapons: Tess carries a long staff that looks as thought it is made of wood, but is really dyed metal with a poisoned tip. She also has a set of throwing knives and a tekken (steel fan) tucked in her belt.

Other: Has a golden retriever named Loki

Username: Nonamethegreat

Name: Sir Richard

Gender: Male

Kingdom Name: Palus Lands

Capitol City: Paludis

Description of Land: As unforgivable as his crime was, you can almost see why Richard attacked his sister. He was given one of the least illustrious sections of his parents kingdom: an all-encompassing waterlogged bayou. Though it provides fertile farmland and has protected his people from the elements for years, the simple matter of what it is is enough to make Richard feel like he was slapped in the face. The air is hot and muggy, the ground is ninety percent mud and moss and you’d sooner be boating to work than walking. The land is soaked and viral enough to survive the brunt of the war’s effects and it’s resilience and rivers would be a boon to any other kingdom, but Richard can’t bear to look past the place’s sheer ugliness.

Perhaps the only appealing place in the entirety of his kingdom is his own capitol city of Paludis. Through an all consuming operation that took years to complete, the slime was moved out of a single, ten-mile wide space of the swamp and replaced with stone. On this stone a tremendous town was built, housing only the aristocracy of the city. This place became the shining gem of commerce for his country until his attempt on his sister’s life. He can’t for the life of him understand, however, why the hastily built city is often flooded after storms.

Personality: Richard is a man with an eye for appearances. Beauty is what he cares about more than anything. Because of this, his father tried to teach him practicality by leaving him the ugly but very valuable swamps. This backfired badly, however, when Richard, immensely jealous of the lands of his family, tried to kill Lady Mariee. He has no lust for power or wealth, he simply wants to live somewhere beautiful where his clothes will stay dry and clean. However, his single-minded focus on this desire has driven him to near insanity.

Appearence: His appearance floats entirely on the winds of fashion, and is, as such, libel to change at a moment’s notice. However, there are a few things that remain constant, only because he cannot change them. One is his hair, which, no matter the length, is always a very deep brown. His eyes are also stagnant, remaining a pale blue. His skin is incredibly fair as, even if fashion demands it, he couldn’t bear to step outside into that festering slime-pit of a country. He is also always slightly short and almost always a bit overweight.

History: The youngest child, Richard was always focused on something. Though he went through about a thousand phases of every variety, he eventually settled on focusing on beauty. Because of this, he gained some talents that seemed to have no use for a royal (sewing, makeup application, decoration, planning of events) and never paid attention when being taught how to lead a country. His parents, praying that he would learn from experience, gave him what they considered prime land for lording over. Richard, however, was not pleased with this.

He tried as hard as he could to see the good in it. He tried to alter fashion so swamps were in style, he tried to clean out the kingdom and build cities, he tried to appreciate the utilitarian beauty of his kingdom, but no matter what he did, it was always just ugly. It drove him nearly to madness. One day, while meeting with his sister, he couldn’t take it anymore. Her beautifully dressed servants, the marvelous castle, it was maddening. And so, he attacked. Though he apologized again and again upon regaining his senses, nobody would listen to him. Alone, he moved deeper and deeper into paranoid insanity until all he could do was dress up his guard nicely and hope that one of his siblings would die someday.

Other: Nothing.

Username: Kokay

Name: Adelaide (Goes by Addy)

Appearance: Adelaide is short, only about 4'9". That doesn't stop her from acting as though she is twice as big. She always raises her head when in the presence of people she doesn't associate as dominant over her. She has pale white skin that is often covered in dirt to help with hiding etc. She has a round face. She has short cropped brown hair and dazzling blue eyes. Her hair, however, is long enough to put in a short, but visible pony tail.

Gender: Female

Personality: Adelaide is hard headed, and non-committal. She doesn't like to commit to anything, least of all people. The only reason she works for the Agency is her Grace. She has a hot temper that flares up but dies off just as quickly. Grudges are never held by her. She likes to tease people but always asserts herself as the leader and will not hesitate to order other people around. People she considers friends are important to her and she'll not allow anyone to bother them. When faced with frightening people or situations, she gets twice as aggressive.

Grace: She can do anything she sees done.

King or Queen: Richard

History: Adelaide was born to a bartender. Her mother worked there as a cook. The young girl's Grace was hardly obvious. But, she was capable of speaking at such an early age that it was strange. She was walking before crawling and was excellent at most things. She was a very visual learner. Adelaide was taught by her mother how to cook, and by her brother how to work the fields. While it was tough work, she was able to do it with skill.

When he was old enough, her brother was drafted into the army. Adelaide was forced to do the farming and her mother grew deathly ill. Adelaide labored on, cooking for the bar and farming for food. It was tough work and it wore her down emotionally and mentally. However, it honed her muscles to the strongest they would become. She joined the Agency when she, herself, realized that being able to do anything she saw was her Grace.

Weapons: A custom made whip and an arsenal of hidden knives of different sizes.

Other:

Username: Nonamethegreat

Name: Dannen

Appearence: Dannen has blonde hair cropped very close to his head. Fairly tall, but also spindly and unimposing. He has very little muscle or fat and has a hard time being taken seriously for it. He always wears fairly tight (within reason) clothes. Very little skin shows on his body, but what little there is is red from windburn. One eye is light brown, the other dark grey.

Gender: Male

Personality: Jolly and sardonic, Dannen is always ready with a joke, whether the situation calls for one or not. He's terrible at reading people, and his social skill amounts essentially to "if they aren't laughing they aren't happy. Try to make them laugh." This comes largely from the fact that his parents were both professional fools and he holds them in far higher respect than perhaps he should. He was taken into the Agency fairly young, which contributed to his social ineptitude. Having lived in the palace his whole life, he knows almost nothing about commoners, but only knows that he doesn't want anyone else to die, so he joined the real Agency.

Grace: Running. His Grace is his legs, and so he's blindingly fast. He was not going to be taken into the agency until it was discovered that, with a large enough head of steam built, he could bash through the well locked doors to the queen's chamber.

King or Queen: Lady Mariee

History: Born to two of the worlds best jesters, Dannen spent the first six or so years of his life in the presence of nothing but fools. He was known to be one of the Graced, but his mother was Graced with juggling, so they assumed his would be something similar. However, this theory was put down when, at six, he outran in a race the best messenger in the country. However, this power was still viewed as useless for combat purposes, so the fools still got to keep their child.

Unfortunately, that changed three years later when Lady Mariee locked herself in a room for a number of days. Many of her lesser guard tried to get in (the graced guard were already in with her), but couldn't break the door down. Desperate, they went to the servants for help and Dannen, not considering the consequences, broke the door down with a fast charge. Amazed, the queen had him put into the Agency ranks immediately. At first, he rather enjoyed the special treatment. For four years he simply killed commoners that were suspected of treason with no remorse, having never learned to identify them as human. However, one day he came home to discover that his parents had been convicted of a crime. They were supposed to have just been put in a cell, but had been accidentally killed by the agent who tried to capture them. Realizing what he had been doing, he broke down and locked himself up for a week. After this, he tried to continue doing his job, but couldn't bear it, so he made a deal with the queen. He would be on her personal guard and protect her from anything, so long as he didn't have to kill. Lady Mariee agreed. He joined the true agency because he's sick of being "the bad guy," and doesn't want to run the risk of having to murder again.

Weapons: He has no formal weapon, but carries around an iron bar and three heavy balls at all times.

Other: He's become rather numb to anything but exuberant joy, so he's always smiling and joking.

Username: PG

Name: Nikolai

Appearance: He's tall, broad-shouldered and muscular with short-cropped dark hair and piercing blue eyes. He has a large scar over one eye and long canines. His teeth are mostly crooked besides those canines and it results in an odd smile that sets him apart from most others. Because of the way his teeth are, when he smiles it appears more of a grimace. His walk also sets him apart. It's almost a strut, really, or a cocky swagger.

Gender: Male

Personality: He's full of himself, cocky and generally an annoying person to be around. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but no one would say that to his face. He's imposing, likes it to stay that way, and generally likes to pick a fight. He can be overly-talkative, rude and sometimes plain old cruel.

Grace: Abnormal strength? O.o

King or Queen: Sir Charles

History: Nikolai was the kid who watched as a cat brutally slaughterit's prey. He enjoyed watching things die. He was also the bully and had a huge ego. At one point he was humiliated deeply, and if anything he's just trained harder so it won't happen again. What exactly happened to change him, no one really knows, besides him. He wasn't always the cruel, cocky man-child he is now, but it seems as if there is no turning back for him at this point. Maybe if someone finds out his past, they could perhaps change him from the screwed-up monster he is now.

Nikolai went to serve Sir Charles, and was happy there for awhile. Now he has joined the true Agency, looking forward to betraying his king and maybe taking power for himself. Selfish, sure, but power is a goal most human beings want in some way or another.

Weapons: A double bladed battle axe with an extended handle and highly-etched blades depicting a stag, crest and deer. He also has a few daggers and a mace with him.

Other: Nope

Username: Darkshadow

Name: Riley

Appearence: She is around 6'1", with shaggy long hair extended to her waist. She has high cheekbones and a large noise, and her face is a tan color from too much sun exposure. She has one green eye and one reddish-brown, and there is a scar from her lower lip (left side) to her chin. Her arms are awkwardly lanky and she is very thin, like she has starved herself for months. However, she does not, and it helps for any disguises. Her right hand is missing it's middle finger, cut off at the joint. The back of her legs are covered in pale scars from whips, and the big toe of her left foot is cut off as well.

Gender: Female

Personality: Riley is cautious as any of her profession, having paid the consequences for being caught. She is a natural thief: quiet, unobtrusive, and observant, watching all but always keeping it to herself. She feels that the war is going to lead the country to ruin, and that she would help stop it, after witnessing a boy beaten to death for trying to feed himself and his family. Riley doesn't mind betraying her Queen, but she does feel guilt for lying to Lady Lovissa's face.

Grace: Riley has the ability to read people's minds. She can discover what they know and what they plan, but she must probe them for a long time to read their deepest secrets.

King or Queen: Lady Lovissa

History: Riley was born with the ability to read the minds of others, and so she was a master at everything she did. She learned what the adults knew at a young age, since she could not control her powers. She was whipped for revealing things that were best left secret to important people, and so she left her village a freak, shunned for her abilities. Being a mind reader was an excellant talent for a thief, and so Riley managed to avoid trouble and making a lifestyle. However, in the end she was caught, and her finger cut off as a warning. Her scar was also aquired as she remained in prison.

However, Lady Lovissa was building her Agency at the same time Riley was finally released. Riley knew that her ability would be a valuable asset to the Lady, and she was accepted into the Agency to protect the Lady from would-be assassins. A master thief, Riley was also sent to sabotage the other kings' and queens' supply lines, and to kill off their allies. She decided to join the true Agency after all while, and use her skills to dismember her own Queen's assets.

Weapons: Dirk (main weapon), throwing knives (hidden), dagger (hidden), crossbow (long-range weapon)

Other: Nope.

History: Brielle was born on November 6th, to her mother, Julie, and her father, Gage. She lived in a small house with them and her older brother, Kyle. She was the only one in her family who had been 'graced', and her parents were rather afraid of her, so they would buy her anything she wanted in return for her staying away from them. When her brother was 19 and she was 15, he moved out of the house and left Brielle behind. When she turned 17, she was sent off to go and help the Queen in the war, and hasn't seen her parents since.

My Characters

Username: Merryier12

Name: Lady Lovissa Dragomir

Gender: Female

Kingdom Name: Adornetti

Capitol City: Lovissa City

Description of Land: The original King and Queen Dragomir gave her the more grassy land. They left it to her because of the flower that grows in the fields. The one she was named for. The weather is always extremely hot and humid with some dangerously high winds in winter. The small towns that are scattered around Lovissa City pale in comparrison to the capital.

The city is built on one of the many rolling hills. Giving the entire city a giant slope with Lady Lovissa's castle on top. The castle, unlike many others was elegant rather than hard and blocky. Most of it was made of white marble, with some pink granite accents. Lady Lovissa's country is host to many artists and painters who are inspired by the many flowers that grow there.

Personality: Lovissa is a very artistic person. She loves any form of artwork, especially if it is draw, written, or painted about her. For this reason, she and Sir Richard get along famously. Lovissa is not very artistic herself, she is simply vain. Mirrors adorn her castle so that she may catch a glimpse of herself every once and a while. Her outlook on various suitors is often disdain. Lovissa is very materialistic, she likes money, and looks really. Her downfalls are really vainness and paranioia.

Appearence: She is about 27 years old, the eldest of four children, but to her thinking the prettiest. Her blonde hair is often piled atop her head in a complex series of twisted curls and and curled knots. Her bright blue eyes shine with intelligence and a higher almost snooty disposition. She smirks almost all the time, but has been known to smile occasionally.

History: She was the eldest of four children, and was always rather ignored by her parents. She was wanted by many suitors but she wanted nothing to do with them. Lovissa tended to be quiet an aloof as a child, but really she liked to dig up her sibljngs dirty little secrets. It was partly the reason that Lovissa got the best piece of land, she made Charles give it up.

She became paranoid when Richard attacked Mariee, and started the Agency. Well... You know the rest.

Other:

Username: Merryier12

Name: Claire

Appearence: Blonde hair that falls in soft waves down to her midback. It frames her heartshaped face perfectly. Her eyes tend to scare people off, with one being silver, and one being red. Her face tends to be set in a scowl most of the time. Though nobody really knows why. She has a lean frame with a layer of muscle.

Gender: Female

Personality: Claire has a bit of a temper, but that's mostly because she lives with a pounding headache. She visits the medicinal nurse almost every day to get more headache remedies. Because of this her temper is often short. Not many like to deal with her and her reputation isn't very good.

Grace: Mind Reader

King or Queen: Sir Charles

History: A secret for me to know and you to find out

Weapons: A twin set of kopesh swords.

Other:

Username: Merryier12

Name: Lisa

Appearence: Long black hair that she keeps in a ponytail that flls to the back of her neck. Her hair is sleek and shiny, but compliments her eyes. Her eyes are set in a lightly tanned face, with slim arching, cat-like eyebrows that give her a mischievious apoearence. Underneath those, her eyes are the most noticable feature on her. With her right eye a shining gold, and the other a sleek silver, Lisa is quite attractive. Perhaps that's why Sir Richard keeps her around. He's always loved beautiful things. Her build is slim, but she is well musceled especially in her legs, from trucking through the marsh. Because of the surroundings, she can often be found wearing hard leather boots with long pants that have some mud plastered to them. Her top though is usually a clean neat white with no spots or dirtiness at all.

Gender: Female

Personality: Lisa is very easy going, she doesn't like to be in the middle of a fight. Preferring to stay on the sidelines and watch. Her temper has only gotten away from her once, but she had good reason. Lisa has a soft spot for animals and children, wishes she could still be a child. Her main fear is that someone she loves will be hurt if she joins the True Agency, while Lisa is easy going. She can be very indecisive.

Grace: She can understand all tongues, making her a good asset in court and to the True Agency.

King or Queen: Sir Richard

History: The daughter of two merchants, who when they discovered what she was, tried to hide it. For a while they used her in their travels, but when a trader blabbed, word spread and Lisa was collected. She was about seven years old then, just old enough to understand what she had lost. When Sir Richard held court with nobles from other lands, Lisa was always present. The translator. She's never encountered a language she couldn't speak. And often, instead of telling someone what she really means. She gives a metaphor from another language. Making it all the more confusing.

She loves the city, but misses her family. Where Sir Richard sees dullness she finds happiness. It tends to get on his and others nerves. She has always found joy in simple thing throughout her life. Now that she has grown, (seventeen) and spent ten years in Sir Richard's court she wishes to travel. Lisa takes time almost everday to visit town because she likes to visit her family. For this reason it is her bargaining chip. If she misbehaves she is often confined to the castle, not that it stops her from getting

Weapons: Like most she carries twin daggers though she never really uses them. Her grace is not meant for weapons.

Other:

Username: Merryier12

Name: Kailey

Appearence: Long red hair that is always falling in ringlets to her shoulders. Her complexion is rather pale, but her freckles make up for it. With skin that only gets somewhat tanned in the very middle of summer, her eyes stand out even more. Of course the two colors are very odd, and many people have trouble holding her gaze, but she doesn't really mind. Her right eye is a dark forest green while her left is a light purple. Her body has a strong build from training, but she honestly doesn't mind all too much. Lady Lovissa constantly tells her to dress up, not that she ever listens. She often wears a long pair of blue cloth pants and a loose brown cotton shirt.

Gender: Female

Personality: Kailey is known for having a small temper, not usually one to fight. But if she does, then whoever is opposing her will most likley lose. Kailey tends to think of life as a big test, and if you can make it through then you're victirious. No matter what you have to do to get there. She's very competetive, and she loves to beat anyone in anything. The only person that has ever beat her was a graced child by the name of Lily. She's always resented this, but it doesn't bother her too much.

Grace: She can read the emotions of others, which is useful when trying to get under someone's skin. Lady Lovissa also finds it very useful in court.

King or Queen: Lady Lovissa

History: Her history is a secret, the only thing I can tell you is that she was born and raised in the castle. Lady Lovissa has told no one. Not a soul who Kailey's parents are, not even her. Kailey resents that she doesn't know, and that was the main reason she joined the true Agency. She hoped that maybe she could find out about her parentage.

Weapons: She keeps a knife on her, but prefers a sword if a fight arises.

Other:

Username: Merryier12

Name: Lily

Appearence: Long dark brown hair that she always keeps in a braid down her back. The braid falls to her waist line, and she's very touchy about it, there have been a few black eyes over this braid. Her eyes are the most noticeable thing about her, like they are with many agents. One dark green, the other a bright sea blue. Her smile may be cute, but she hardly ever smiles nowadays. If she does, it's a rare occasion, and she must be very happy. She has a thick coating of muscle, but also a lean and graceful form. Lady Mariee thinks of her as her pride and joy, and often tries to marry her, but Lily won't have it. She hates dressing up and can be found in a simpke pair of cotton pants (dark green) and a cotton shirt (white) representing her Lady's colors.

Gender: Female

Personality: She can be very tempermental which is not surprising considering her Grace. She will often snap at someone but then apologize, much of her attitude comes from stress. Though Lily is quite dangerous, those who are not afraid of her earn her respect rather than her anger. She can sometimes offend without meaning to though her Queen is trying to teach her court manners. Lily despises this and includes that in her reasons for betraying Lady Mariee.

Grace: She has a Killing Grace. It is quite unusual, but yes, she has a talent for killing. She could be locked in a steel room with nothing but her hands against a group of twenty guards and slay them easily.

King or Queen: Lady Mariee

History: When she was little, her parents handed her to the court as they didn't want to be bothered with a Graced Child. So as a result, Lily grew up in the grand halls of a palace. Which she hated every minute of. The palace to her held no excitement as it did for other children, all she wanted was normality. But she tends to be a blunt realist so she lived with it. The only thing she swore to herself was never to have a child, as she would not make an outcast of it as well.

Her grace fully revealed itself when she was thirteen years old. Sir Charles came to visit Lady Mariee under the white flag of truce and Lily didn't care all that much. Then at dinner, while he specifically sat next to her, his hand crept up her thigh. Not hesitating, Lily leapt from her chair onto his and kicked his chin. He would've died had the nurse been a moment later. Lady Mariee banished him from her court, and then Lily began to train. Her reasons for joining the true Agency are unknown to anyone but herself, and she isn't willing to share.

Weapons: A sword, two knives, a bow, her hands and feet... Lily can use anything really.

Other: Nope

I'm considering it, but with all the empty slots I think you scared a lot of people off, if an individual person on the site were to fill each slot separately you'd be trying to start a role play with what? 40 people? I think that's a recipe for chaos.

I like the plot idea though.

William Jones

A young man shivered in the Autumn breeze. His short cropped, dirty blonde hair didn't offer much warmth. Nor did his thin, brown tunic. It did, however keep him able to move quite well. He wrapped his cloak around his body tighter. It was time to move. His incredibly dark brown eyes fell upon a lute. It was his pride and joy. The stringed instrument had a beautiful tone and it matched his voice perfectly. Will wasn't sure if he sang well or if he played well. All he knew was that most audiences appreciated his entertainment enough to pay him. He wasn't picky about how they did and often received drinks, dinners, and trinkets for his work. It didn't matter. If he had food in his stomach, and a place to sleep at night, he was happy. That meant he was always happy. Excepting, of course, when the Agencies got wind of his presence in their kingdom. Then they tended to get incredibly clingy. He always had to use his Grace to escape them.

Now using his natural strength, Will hefted himself and the lute down the tree with such skill it seemed he barely touched the tree's bark. It was amazing, even to him sometimes. Reaching the bottom, he smiled. The young man was proud, but not without reason. Being the pacifist that he was, Will wouldn't defend his pride. He walked to the nearest tavern and walked in. It was still the afternoon, so there weren't many people in the tavern. He, honestly, didn't look like the average entertainer. He was dressed too carefully for that. Many asked who he was, but Will always danced away from the questions by distracting his pursuer. The Agency 'cats' (as he called them) always seemed to get angry when he wouldn't answer their questions. They often knew who he was anyway, so why tell them straight up? It took the fun out of life.

"Welcome back, Kain! It's great to see you. Whenever the men hear you're in town, I get double sales," The bartender grinned broadly at the young man. He was a portly fellow, with a beard just as large. The balding man set down the plate he'd been drying and looked to the kitchen. He yelled something about food for his favorite entertainer. As Will was about to protest, the man held up a hand and shook his head. "Nah, listen. Y'all deserve it. I can afford to get you some food in that thin stomach of yours." Will thanked the man heartily and sat down in the corner. He plucked a few strings, tuning his lute to match his songs. It would be a long night, but the rewards were always great. When he was called back over, Will left the lute on his stool and sat at the counter, eating quickly. There was polite conversation between himself and the bartender, but he soon drifted away and found himself heavily eavesdropping.

"The Agency... I hear they're defying their leaders. Like... Like they're not doing their jobs on purpose." A young man said quietly. The grizzled old man next to him mad a disgruntled noise and snorted. "Yeah right. As if they'd still be around if the leaders didn't see their jobs getting done, you dunce. Use your head. Why would they still exist if they couldn't do their jobs the right way?" After a few more back and forth insults, the young man left angrily and glared at Will, having realized he'd been listening. Will turned his head away and accepted the drink offered to him by the bartender. Having finished his food, the young man stood up and stalked over to the corner. There, he hummed and tuned his lute to perfection. No use in being slightly out of tune when you could be in perfect tune. That was his idea. So, the Cats were actually playing with the Kings and Queens. That wasn't a very good or safe idea. Will didn't believe it, but it was nice to hope for.

Lily

Lily was in town on Mariee's orders today, shown by her traditional outfit. People cleared the street as she walked by. Her reputation was not exactly good per say. With a sigh she continued on down the street. Her target was a pub. The True Agency had a few contacts and all of the one's on Mariee's land reported to her. Lily had orders to reign in that fellow Will, not that she really planned to do it for Mariee's sake. She needed him for the True Agency.

As she arrived, people stopped talking. It weant from a happy cheer (even though it was mostly empty) to a dead silence the second she was recognized. Lily sighed but went to the counter, the bartender knew her from her occasional visits in town. "The usual?" He asked breaking the stony silence. Lily smiled but shook her head, this man was one of the few who could steadily hold her gaze. It was nice having a talk with someone who could look you in the eye. He turned to face his guests, "If you're disturbed by the mere sight of thing young lady, you can leave now."

Lily smiled thankfully, "Thanks," she told him before sitting down. She wasn't going to bother Will unless he made her. Not that she couldn't easily knock him off his feet and have him in a choke hold against the wall within five seconds if she wanted to.

Dannen

Dannen was not what one would call subtle. He wasn't sneaky, wasn't slick and most of all, wasn't clever. However, he still seemed to be able to get around town with less fanfare than Lily, though perhaps part of that was that Lilly had just come through. After all, compared to her, his record was downright spotless. He had come here following her, partially for want of company, and partially because he just wanted out of the palace. But mostly because he wanted to bother her. As long as he'd known Lily, he almost never saw her laugh, and so he tried to change that, no matter whether or not she wanted him to. He came into the pub and plopped down next to her. "Hi Lily! What are you doing here in a bar? Hey here's one, a guy walked into a bar...and said ow!" Dannen burst out laughing at his own joke, oblivious to the tension in the bar.

Richard

The king stalked back and forth through his castle, murmuring to himself. It wasn't fair! It just plain wasn't fair! How could he be expected to keep up with the fashions if those idiots changed it so that it was attractive to be tan? He whimpered with anger, then screamed at the top of his lungs, "Guard! Where's my Agency guards?"

❝〖T〗essa〖M〗arie〖G〗rey ❞A loud, resounding knock echoed against the walls of the bedroom, interrupting Tess from her fitful musings. She had arrived at her bedroom minutes before dawn and was utterly exhausted. Her only matter importance when she arrived home from a week of spying at Lady Mariee's kingdom was a warm meal and a soft bed. She got the bed, but not so much the warm food, but who was she too complain? Now, in her tiny room, she glanced at the window with eyes half-closed and groaned in annoyance. The sun was already high in the sky, which meant she had slept the morning away. Ugh, lazy. Tessa shifted on the bed, resting on her side, her legs curled up towards her. At least she did get some sleep. Ever since that one incident, sleep managed to elude her - convincing her that she probably developed a case of insomnia over the last few years. The memory was crystal clear, and no amount of effort could blur the pictures. She'd been a child, barely a teenager. A serving boy at one of the court functions was working the floor, and from the moment she met him, she didn't like him - He was very arrogant, for a serving boy, and it was rumoured that he fathered most of the servant children that ran around the palace grounds. But knowing court functions - you never know what was true or what wasn't. When he stared to to pay Tessa some attention, she grew weary.

"So you are Sir Grey's daughter. I didn't know he bore a Graced child? Graceling eyes can be so unattractive. But you, darling, wear it well."

When she had felt his hand on her leg, she reacted - no thoughts whatsoever . Her hand flown out and smashed into his face, so fast she broke the cartilage in his nose, blood spilling practically everywhere. Everyone was terrified - looking at her as though she had sprouted horns. Everyone but Sir Richard. The knock started up again, causing Tessa to scowl.

"Who is it?"

"It's...his majesty. He is asking for you."

With a muttered curse, and a defeated sigh, Tess buried her face in her pillow in annoyance. 'Time to get up.' Sitting up on the bed, Tessa lifted her arms above her head and stretched, her back arching, her limbs aching with protest. Getting to her feet, Tess made her way to the wash basin, scooping up a handful of cold water and splashing her face, erasing any trace of sleep. If she didn't hurry, Sir Richard was going to take it out on her hide ten times over. He wasn't one for patience. She had fallen into bed fully dressed, and now her white tunic was all wrinkled. With another curse, the young Graceling changed into a fresh white tunic over a pair of brown breeches and was in the midst of tying up her boots when she heard the knock once more.

"I'm coming!"

Tessa became much more alert the moment she left her chambers , noting the wary way people were eyeing her. The fact that their were rumours (which were true) of the Agents rebelling didn't exactly help her cause very much. People still hated her. Pushing flaming red curls away from her face, Tessa made her way into the court room, her mismatched eyes falling on Sir Richard... who did not look pleased.

"You summoned me, your majesty?" She addressed politely, her voice husky from sleep and her commonfolk accent barely noticeable.

King Richard

Richard glanced at Tessa with a smile that quickly became a frown. "You look godawful, but that's not the point. Listen, there are a few things we need to discuss. First and most importantly, tan is in season. There's no way I'm going outside into that festering pit I call a country, but I need to look good. I need you to find someone with a Grace for plants or alchemy or some such thing to whip me up a realistic fake tan. Otherwise I could never be taken seriously." He shuddered. Somewhere in the back of his mind he knew that it was superfluous, but this rationality was buried very deep within him. "The other thing is somewhat ridiculous I should think, and I hate to waste your valuable time with it. But still, it is something that could stand some investigation. You see, people have been talking as people will and saying that perhaps the Agencies are going to betray the royal family members. Now, I obviously know my beloved guards wouldn't do such a thing, but if you have any spare time, see if you can find out whether or not my sibling's Agencies are revolting. If so, perhaps I can just sit back." He paused to think for a moment. "Oh, but before all that, for the gods sake, go have my tailor whip you up a pretty dress. You look like a man in those clothes, and an unfashionable one at that."

(( Meh Profile

Other: She has lost all confidence in herself after Richard’s attack, and can hardly ask for her Agents to do anything.))

Lily

Lily had simply asked for some bread and butter while she waited for a chance to speak with Will. Right when Dannen walked in. Lily sighed, she didn't need to deal with Dannen right now. This was madness. "Hi Lily! What are you doing here in a bar? Hey here's one, a guy walked into a bar...and said ow!" Lily shook her head with a sigh as Dannen said this. He never was one to take a hint.

"Hello Dannen," she said drily. Hearing someone move behind her, she turned around so quickly she almost blurred and had the man by the wall within seconds. He had a knife on him and she quickly flipped it out of his hand. She met his eyes which were indeed strange, he had an eyepatch over one eye. Distrusting person she was, she ripped off the eyepatch to reveal a brown eye, while the other was blue. "You should not try to kill someone with more skill than yourself."

Lady Mariee

Mariee was feeling like her usual self today, lethargic and unenergetic. She had been feeling like this for weeks now, since the Incident. The scene kept plaing over and over in her head - herself listening to Richard about Palus, then herself talking about Wynona, and then Richard struck her. She was almost on the verge of tears when Lily had interrupted her silent lament.

"Your majesty," Mariee looked up, startled. "you summoned me for something?"

"Um, yes." she said in an almost whisper. "Can you please get William Jones for me? I must ask him a question."

"Yes ma'am. I will fetch him right away."

"Thank you, Lily..." Mariee said as Lily walked out of the door.

Gushing tears now, she returned to her silent lament, alone.

|| Edited! Thanks darling ^-^ ||

Tessa glanced down at her attire and resisted the urge to roll her eyes. There was one god thing about being a practical slave to Sir Richard. You'll never be bored. He was always into the latest fashions - more so then most of the court ladies. It was quite amusing, if not annoying. So, tan is in season huh? Tessa looked down at her skin and smiled slightly. Looks like she was finally part of the whole rage. One of Richards comments had her blinking in surprise. A realistic fake tan? Oh dear God.

"Forgive me for saying so, your Majesty but, wouldn't it be easier for you to simply spend time in your private gardens? It's always sunny there."

She suggested, bracing herself for a tongue lashing. He tends to be unpredictable.

Ah, so King Richard has also heard of the rumours. Arching a brow in amusement, she was impressed with his conclusion. She should have known the Richard would look at this as a prop in his plan to over throw his siblings. "I'll get right on that, your Majesty." She said, bowing at the waist in dismissal before Sir Richard started up again. She winced at the thought of wearing a dress, her cheeks reddening.

"A..dress? You majesty?"

William Jones

Will watched as two of the Agency Cats walked in. He held his tongue, shivering slightly at their approach. It would be difficult to escape with them so close. He was in a tavern, it'd be hard to get away. The second one was distracting the first one. That meant it was his time. The first one threw a man against the wall. It was time to get away. Will darted to the nearest window, jumping out and rolling on the ground to break his fall. They'd have to be fast to keep up with him. He had always prided himself in his speed. There was a crowd and Will ran to it. No matter what they did, he'd be part of it. His Grace was kicking in now. His clothing masked him as a commoner and he looked at why there was a crowd. It was an auction.

"25! I'll give you 25 for the goat!" A voice yelled near him. No problem. He raised up his hand, looking at the man there instead of behind him towards the tavern. That would give away himself. One hand slung his hood over his head to cover his very clear blonde hair. "I'll give you 27! 27! for the goat! It's not worth much more!" He yelled over the people. The man raised an eyebrow at his offer. Now it appeared he had raised the bet too high. The man next to him raised it again, and so did he. Soon, the large man was angry. He grabbed Will by his shirt and pushed him out of the crowd. This was dangerous. The man was incredibly angry at him. "Listen, boy! You've got a soft look 'bout you! I'm a farmer! I need this goat to work fer me!" He shoved Will to the ground.

This wasn't good. Will turned his head to the tavern and was caught off guard by the man's attack. A huge fist slammed into his back, slamming him to the ground, gasping for breath. The young man, however temporarily paralyzed by his plight for breath, was still fast. When the kick came down to hit him in the head, he had already rolled away. Will jumped to his feet, shaking his head. "I don't want to fight you, sir." Will didn't. His lute was in danger of getting ruined. This was not the way he wanted it to be replaced. He saw the man slip in to punch him again. Will dodged out of the way, grabbing his fist and pulling the man forward. As he pulled the man, he tripped him. That only further infuriated the man. The large farmer tackled him to the ground. Will had just enough time to throw his lute away from his body. This was too much. He didn't have time to retaliate. Air rushed out of his lungs and he gasped for it as the man brought his huge fists down on his face.

Dannen

The fact that she didn't laugh was disturbing, but not nearly as much as how his fellow agent whipped around and pinned her attempted attacker against the wall. "Um...yes, well, you seem to have someone trying to kill you there so I'll leave you to that then." He quietly walked away, but was shocked when a fight broke out over the auction. A huge man with a thick farmer's tan was attempting to beat on a far smaller guy with an instrument. The big guy was clearly stronger and Dannen was afraid that he'd kill the bard. A blank smile still on his face, Dannen charged forward and brought his shoulder into the man's stomach. Though he wasn't strong, the speed was more than enough to send the bear-sized man reeling. "Hey, I've got a big stick and I could bash your knees off with it!" he said cheerfully.

King Richard

At the suggestion that he ought to actually tan, Richard balked. "What? Are you mad? It's been raining. Not only is it damp out there, but the very swamp muck is floating in the air around. If I don't want that garbage on my clothes or in my hair, then I certainly don't want it in my chest! You can handle it because you're a powerful warrior, but I'm just a meek king!" He reacted a bit more fairly to her questioning of his orders to get in a dress. "Well, you are about to go on a few missions, so perhaps we ought to hold off on the dress until later...Oh, I know, there'll be a fancy dinner tonight for the whole capitol! While your away, I'll have the tailors make you and the other Agents beautiful works of dress-art and show you off! Seeing you all looking so lovely will certainly dispel the paranoid myths about this agency rebellion at least in this country. After all, nobody in lovely clothes could be a betrayer!" To him, this convoluted logic made perfect sense.

❝〖T〗essa〖M〗arie〖G〗rey ❞

Tessa took a deep breath and prayed for patience. This man had the IQ of goldfish. The young woman waited for his tirade to finish, trying desperately to look as though she cared for what he was saying. Although what he was saying did have a ring of truth to it. The kingdom was suffering from the most horrid weather. The rain hasn't let up for days, causing floods, damaging farm lands and making commute nearly impossible. But tanning is what the King was worried about. It was a beautiful day today, and why he couldn't just take advantage of that was beyond her.

"After all, nobody in lovely clothes could be a betrayer!"

Oi, this was going to be a long day. "Of course, your Majesty." It was better to just agree. That way he would stop talking and she could get on with her duties. "I'll prepare my things now." She added as a farewell, bending at the waist as a bow, her right hand placed over her heart before she left the throne room. When the doors closed behind her, Tessa let out a string of profanities, ignoring the scandalized looks of the servants. She was going to have to go back to Lady Mariee's kingdom AGAIN. The war never ends. Tessa took her time ascending the spiral staircase that led to the third floor, where her chambers was currently located. The last thin she needed was one of the servants rushing off to tell Sir Richard of her anger. That ... would just make things worse. She made sure to keep her gaze directed right in front of her, not wanting to make eye contact with anyone. It's bad enough that fellow workers thought she was freak, but she couldn't handle the cringe that people did when she focused her eyes on them. Stopping in front of her bedroom door, Tessa grabbed the room key that she kept secured around her neck and unlocked the door, placing the necklace in her back pocket. When one was sent on missions has often as she has been, one is always prepared to leave on short notice. Leaving the door open, she made her way to her dresser, and yanked open one of seven large drawers, pulling out a brown leather backpack and all but throwing it over her shoulders. In the bag were items that covered basic needs. Food, change of clothes, medicine, a blanket - so on, so forth.

Tessa glanced around her room for anything she forgotten and sighed. As much as she hated it here, it was her home and it saddened her to constantly leave. Grabbing a soft grey, wool cloak, Tessa headed out the door, leaving specific instructions for her chambers to be left untouched. She did not like people going through her things.

"Loki!" She called, the moment she reached the foyer. She let out a shrill whistle and not a moment later and eighty pound golden Labrador came running down the hall. He skidded to a stop in front of his master and let out a resounding bark in greeting. "Hey hun. Ready to go on another adventure?" She said, stroking his yellow fur. Loki wagged his tail frantically before barking again.

"Grey, your carriage is here. It will take you to the kingdoms border"

Tessa nodded at the butler before nodding towards Loki. Slipping on her cloak, she waited until Loki got comfortable on the plush seats before sliding into carriage.

Will felt the man go flying off of him. He didn't take time to see who it was, he knew who it was. "Thanks, Cat. But, I'll not be hanging around to give you time to get the other Cats here to get me," He scooped his lute up into his arms and turned back to the Cat who'd helped him. He shook his head, grinning as the farmer was gasping for breath this time. Payback was sweet. "Give my best to your dearest Agency Cats and the Queen, but I can't hang around to be caught by you." He turned on his heel and ran. The other boy had to be faster than ever. It was frightening. Will turned into an alley, keeping his mind on escape. He turned into another one and jumped into a nearby haystack. He was able to hide his whole body and everything in the haystack thanks to his Grace.

Senka

Senka had gotten a rare break. Walking smoothly to an inn, she spotted a boy with a lute and a burly farmer fighting. Eye focus constantly swiveling around as her face was hidden in the shadow of her cloak, she spotted another boy, with a vacant smile on his face, suddenly emerge from the inn and charge at the farmer and knock him over. The boy with the instrument had said something to his savior, then had ran. She watched all of this with interest, melting back into the shadow of a corner, and then went into the inn.

The first thing she noticed was a woman. She was holding a man by the throat to the wall, and she had two-colored eyes. Great, another Graceling. From another Agency. I hate this war. Sinking into the shadow of a flickering lamp at a far wall, she ordered a drink and sat, facing the woman and the rest of the people. She preferred places like this. That way she could watch everybody and people seldom paid attention to her. And, she couldn't be ambushed.

She partly closed her eyes, and focused on the strands of thought from the people in the inn. She discarded most of them and focused on one - the woman's. She sensed her Grace. "Hmm, a Killing Grace. Unusual. She is certainly capable." She muttered to herself, voice almost inaudible. She noted the information and sought the woman's main thread of thoughts. Sir Charles would be pleased to get the information, and the woman would not even sense her in her mind. With luck, she wouldn't even sense her there.

Adelaide Bond

Adelaide was a pretty young woman. Granted, she was incredibly short. Her height was the bane of her dominance. She liked to be dominant. It was the way things should be done. No one else thought clearly, so she should obviously be the one in charge. Adelaide, now, had clearly ignored King Richard's call. She was tired of hearing him complain about fashion. She didn't like fashion, nor did she follow it. Now she got up from the bench she'd been sitting on outside of the palace. There was a carriage ready for the Agency. She stood up, stretching and walked to where it was. "Hey, Tessa. Hey, Loki." She greeted the two. Adelaide climbed into the carriage and sat down, more than comfortable. She kicked her feet up on the seat and looked at Tessa. "What are we doing this time?"

Lily

Lily watched out of the corner of her eye as Will left. She cursed but this man was probably from another agency. With one last glare she released him, handing back his knife. Sure he might've just tried to kill her but they could use him for the Agency. She didn't want to kill him really. With a sigh she left. Her food was payed for already and Dannen might need back up hunting down Will.

Lily could be very dangerous if she wasn't careful. She hated mind readers mostly because she hated to think they could see the way she analyzed things. She could look at a person and simply have a base instinct on how to kill him or her. It wasn't something that she could really control, it was just a part of her.

Lisa

Lisa had been found walking outside in her heavy boots, slopping through the fertile mud that made itself at home everywhere. She had to stop and change since she was summoned by Sir Richard. He would want to see her in a dress most likley. And those cursed heels he was always forcing her into. With a sigh she pulled some on before click clacking her way to Sir Richard. Th gown while it was gorgeous and fit her perfectly, was to clingy (in her thoughts) in the wrong places.

Walking into the room and spotting Tessa she smiled before saying, "Sir Richard? You wanted to see me?"

Riley

Riley sighed and brushed the hair out of her eyes with her left hand, wincing as she brushed over a new cut on her cheek. She had been working for the true Agency last night, which had involved some sneaking around in a weapons room, where she had sliced her cheek with the blade of one of the swords. Clumsy guards. Didn't they know how to properly stack blades? Anyway, she was going to present herself to Lady Lovissa soon, and her excuse would be that she cut herself on accident while cleaning her throwing knives. Lady Lovissa would keep her close, since Riley's talent would ascertain if any in her court were plotting to kill her, or something of the sort. She could hear the thoughts of a serving girl down the hall, who was congratulating herself for managing to filtch some jewels from the queen's chambers. Riley rubbed at the scar on the left side of her lower lip. It was itching for some reason. Riley walked down the hallway, passing by the maid, who flinched as she spotted Riley. "I'd put those jewels back, if I were you, and I won't say a word to the queen." Riley told her quietly, and the maid's eyes widened with shock. "She won't like thieves, as you can see." she finished, waving her right hand at the girl. The middle was missing, a punishment for stealing. The maid bobbed her head and dashed off, and she was on the verge of tears.

Sighing, Riley walked over to a door adjacent to the queen's chambers and waited to be summoned.
