Star Trek: The Dragon Generation

Recommended Posts

Stardate: 20923.5: The Starships Enterprise, of Galaxy-Wide fame, have been restored and/or rebuilt to their original specifications.

The Enterprise NX-01 has been updated to twenty-fourth century weapons, shielding, and hull, while retaining its original shape. It is still captained by Jonathon Archer, (however, this one's a clone [because the original one's long dead!]). The Enterprise-A, still captained by the famous James T. Kirk (again, a clone), has been restored to original NCC-1701 specs, without the letter attached. There is also the Enterprise-B, which is now captained by Deathwing (Deathwing is a dragon from World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Expansion; he is assumed to be a Magma), the Enterprise-C, captained by Ignitus Jr. (a Red), the Enterprise-C, captained by Voltaire Jr. (a Thunder), the Enterprise-D, captained by Cyril Jr. (an Ice), the Enterprise-E, captained by the famous Jean-Luc Picard, (Again, a clone), and a new arrival, the Enterprise-F, captained by Fleet Admiral Kerry S. Freeman (A Dragon-Child, AKA a Dragon who can morph into a Human and back at will [he is a Guardian of Nature in Dragon Form]). (The Dragon-Children either must be born that way from a mutation that happens in the egg, or transformed from Humans by a special magic scale attached to the Human's breastbone. They have the same powers as their parents; in Admiral Freeman's case, he was created by the Summon power of Cyril Jr., Deathwing, and Voltaire Jr. and so, he has the powers of Fire, Ice, and Electricity.) Dragons were found to truly exist on Earth and on other planets quite by accident. An injured Starfleet cadet found a thought-to-be uninhabited cavern system populated by dragons. To make a long story short, the dragons healed the young cadet, the cadet thanked them, and then rushed off to tell the Commandant his story. Once told, the Commandant showed him something special: The Commandant was a dragon in disguise! The Commandant was a Dragon-Child, just like Admiral Freeman is today. They are able to fit into Starships because of a new device built into oversized transporters: The O-Shrinker. The O-Shrinker was specifically designed to allow oversize creatures (Dragons especially) to fit into normal-sized starships. It works by tapping into the dragon's magic (which is un-explainable anyway), to shrink the dragon down until another O-Shrinker returns the dragon to normal size. (The technology onboard ship is operated by humanoids, except for controls meant for the captains; those were redesigned to be a better fit for dragons' claws.) Also, James T. Kirk has been reinstated as an Admiral, and Jean-Luc Picard has been promoted to one. All of the Starships Enterprise are together in one fleet, under Admiral Freeman's command, so that they can use their combined expertise to deal with any threat they come upon. (Admiral Freeman is super-smart: he is a Universal Champion at Three-Dimensional Chess, the Universal Champion player at every strategy game he meets, whether it be board, software, online, or anything else, a Universal Dueling Champion, and has beaten even the ULTIMATE strategists of the year 999999!)

The Enterprises were found in various states of disrepair... The Enterprise-A was completely destroyed, having been through autodestruct during Admiral Kirk's search for Ambassador Spock (before he became an Ambassador to the Vulcans.) (Spock's body was found in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, and was reunited with his Katra [or Vulcan Spirit] in the same movie.) It had to be completely rebuilt from scratch. The Enterprise-B, being out-dated, was being used for target practice in wargames. It was brought up to date, and rebuilt. The same happened with the Enterprise-C. The Enterprise-D was Admiral Picard's first ship; it was the first ship he battled the Borg in, and it was autodestructed to prevent it from falling into Borg hands. It had to be rebuilt from scratch as well. The Enterprise-E was Admiral Picard's second ship; it was undergoing repairs when it was found. (The Enterprise-B is from the movie Star Trek: Generations, and the Enterprise-C was a canon ship that was in an alternate timeline during an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. The Enterprise-D was the main ship during the first and second seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation. It was replaced by the E version of the Enterprise for the third and final seasons.) They were restored because the original captains were used to these ships, and it was felt that the clones would be the same way. Cloning was developed from a transporter bug that Captain Kirk went through: At one point, during his career as a Captain, a transporter malfunction made two copies of him while he was being beamed; an aggressive one, and a peaceful one. Admiral Freeman modified the computer code that the malfunction was running off of, and made it so that the malfunction could be selectively activated and deactivated, and so it could work with DNA. The original captains, of course, were cloned because they were almost equal to the dragons in tactics. It was possible because Admiral Freeman is from this time period, whereas the HUMAN captains are NOT! Admiral Freeman traveled back into the past, using Captain Kirk's "Solar-Gravitic Maneuver", in which he used the sun's gravity to "Slingshot" his way into the past, and collected DNA from the Human captains, and cloned them using his modified transporter bug program. The Human captains and Bridge Crews were re-trained for the new technology shortly after being cloned.

During the time Admiral Freeman was away, the Borg returned, and the Romulans crossed the Neutral Zone!

Your Mission in this RP is to take on the role of one of these Captains or Admirals, or one of their Bridge Officers, and defeat whatever challenges you, whether it be Borg or Romulan! Your allies will help you; your enemies will hurt you. And don't forget; you are on the Starships Enterprise: Her ongoing mission: to explore strange new worlds; to search out new life and new civilizations; AND TO BOLDLY GO WHERE NO MAN (or dragon!) HAS EVER GONE BEFORE! Star Trek: The Next Generation main title music starts playing

Rules:

1. No Powerplaying, Godmodding, Chatspeak, Leet, Autohitting, Automatic Kills, etc.; however, if one of these things are done, you may do the same in return, but only enough to "shunt" them back on track. It's a learning experience for all Roleplayers involved. EX.: If someone "Autokills" your character, you can "Re-birth" it by ignoring the "Autokill" and changing it to something else, (with an OOC message in the RP forum to tell them why you're ignoring, and what you're changing it to!) and continue from where you left off. Then, you give them ConCrit (PMs, please!) on how to be a better RPer.

2. Please post character sheets in here.

3. You MUST take on one of the roles stated. NO EXTRA ROLES!

4. If you want to suggest something, PM it to me.

5. If you want to give me ConCrit, PM it to me.

6. This RP is for those people who have seen the Star Trek Series starting with the Original Series, and continuing through Enterprise.

7. Have fun!

Ohhh, first off you might want to change the text size to the default one because its incredibly difficult to read at the minute.

I thought Spock died, long before the Enterprise would have been destroyed?

How did he travel into the past?

Spock: He Sort of regenrated on the genesis planet. 2009 is non-canon and an alternate timeline.

Past: Remember the Aeon and The Wells class Relativity?

Havrahaus was somewhat joyful. He had reached Federation Territory. Suddenly, one of his crew said "Captain, Vessel approaching. 100,000 megameters." Havrahaus said "magnify, 10,000x." The vessel became clear. Oberth Class, Steadily approaching. The SS Resemblance. "Hold fire. Let's see what she can do. Scan it." Havrahaus said. The Tactical officer said "The Resemblance has barely working shields, at a constant 25%. Its crew is 20. It is rundown and hardly worth destroying, having 1 heavily damaged phaser emitter and 1 damaged but working phaser emitter. She has one working photon torpedo launcher." As the entire working arsenal hit the shields, the Tactical Officer said "No effect, Captain." Havrahaus said "Fire a shot to disable its Comm. systems and engines." "The ship is disabled, but they sent a distress signal." said the Tactical officer. "Cloak and warp to another, farther away section of their territory." Said Havrahaus.

Admiral Freeman was sleeping when Starfleet HQ suddenly came to life. Soon afterwards, the Red Alert klaxon blared long and loud, startling him out of his sleep. A few minutes earlier, a cloaked ship had dropped out of warp near the thought-to-be-disabled Resemblance, currently serving as a simple warning post, but still seeming to be travelling thanks to an advanced sub-light propulsion holo-emitter, that made it seem like the ship was still moving, but at a rapid sub-light pace, when in reality the ship was at a standstill. At the moment the ship was attacked, subsystems in Starfleet HQ were activated, telling the crew both on earth AND in space, as well as logging, in both locations, exactly what and who attacked the Federation, and at what point in their space, plus what time, and stardate, and sounding an instant fleetwide red alert. The subsystems also extrapolate the most probable next attack and/or move position for the particular enemy that attacked. Admiral Freeman, after a few cups of double-caffeine, quadruple-sweetened coffee to fully wake him up, immediately snagged the info he needed from the nearest computer printout station and read through it, quickly processing the info he needed through the organic-super-computer-like organ that was a dragon's brain. "Darn... Blasted Romulans! Never liked them anyway," he grumbled to himself. Then he addressed his computer: "Computer, set site-to-site transport coordinates; From: Starfleet HQ personal transporter assigned to me. Destination: USS Enterprise-F Bridge." "Transport Coordinates set, Admiral." He stepped onto the transporter pad, and said, "Lock in coordinates and energize." He instantly arrived on the Enterprise-F's bridge, and was bombarded with activity! He morphed into dragon form, and roared so dang loud, everybody in the room quieted down immediately! Somebody yelled, "Admiral on the Deck!" and everybody snapped to immediate attention. Kerry said, "At ease, everybody. Now tell me, what the heck is going on here?" When nobody answered, he continued, "We have a small situation here. The Romulans are at it again! They've come across the neutral zone, and they've already 'disabled' the Resemblance. The ship's computer has already loaded the coordinates of the next attack or move, and we've gotta get there before they do. Everybody to your stations: We've got a job to do. LET'S MOVE, PEOPLE!!!"

"What?! Federation fleet of 8? The Enterprises? Yellow Alert. Battle Stations! Launch all attack ships from the shuttlebay, all cloaked! We'll have a sequence: Cloak-------->Decloak---------->Repeat. Have the ships be different squadrons at different locations." Said Havrahaus. 40 cloaked shuttles flew out of the Shuttlebay. The first 5 attacked in the A Squadron. The Assault was relentless. Disruptor Turrets, Cutting Beams... All of it. Small pieces of hull flew off the NX-01, having a slightly lighter armor(In order to have the full strength, The walls would have to be wider). Many of the larger attack vessels targeted the Enterprise-F, trying to at least take out the phasers and torpedoes. The Romulans were planning something...

On the bridge of the Enterprise-F, the explosions were doing damage... but not much. Admiral Freeman thought it was time to pull off a little trick an old friend taught him: The Picard Maneuver, with a little twist! He gave an order to go to Warp One, and then, after 10 seconds, disengage Warp; then came the trick! After pulling out of the STANDARD Picard maneuver, he added something that he had added to ALL the Enterprises: Independantly-targetable phaser emitters and photon torpedoes! That meant that instead of the entire array firing on a single target, individual beams could lock onto different targets and track them as if they were all different arrays! The new photon torpedos now were MIPIW---Multiple Independently-Propelled Independently-Targetable Warhead---capable! That meant that, once launched, they would split open, much like an ancient Earth cluster bomb, and become hundreds, if not MILLIONS of standard MK XXXXXXXXXXVI proton torpedoes, all with their own propulsion, guidance, and tracking sensors. Finally, there was a bonus feature: The proton torpedoes would emit an anti-cloaking field, so cloaking would be nigh impossible! And, the proton torpedoes had an IFF (Identification, Friend or Foe) system on board, and when no more enemies were detected, they would all self-destruct. So, it was either destroy the torpedoes themselves (they were nanometers in size), or be destroyed! And to make matters worse for the enemy, they were self-replicating, too!

(Little bit of god-modding, your character cannot be invincible or have superweapons.)

"All Ships, Disable their Torpedo banks and their system Controls. If you are close enough, destroy each torpedo as it flies out of the Torpedo bay." Said Havrahaus, on a very high frequency that only ships with a cloaking ability could detect.

Havrahaus' ship decloaked and turned, moving all weapons to a firing positon. He would fire light weapons first, then progress onto the strongest ones.

((Now for a bit of a side-quest, seeing as we have nobody but you and me playing. I'd like you to control one of the Enterprises for a while.))

"Now I've got you!" Admiral Freeman thought. He switched his main viewer onto what he assumed was the enemy flagship. "The Shadowflight, eh? Appropriate name... Soon it'll be nothing BUT shadows! Ha! Open hailing frequencies to the rest of the enterprises and tell them to lock all weapons onto the Shadowflight. Fire at 10-second intervals, on my mark." When all his ships were ready, he started the countdown: "5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Mark. Enterprise-F, firing! Phasers and torpedoes away!" After all his ships had fired, his Tactical Officer reported, "Enemy ships destroyed!" And so it was, with a HUGE explosion showing up onscreen. He thought to himself, "That was too damn easy..." He gave an order: "Use an inverse neutrino beam to scan the area--- I want to be damn sure there are no traces of the Romulans ANYWHERE." His Science Officer said, "Initiating inverse neutrino beam sweep now, sir... All cloaked ships should be revealed on our scanners momentarily." "All Cl---Whoa! What is THAT?" A HUGE ship had been revealed on scanners: one unlike any other! "It reads as nothing we've ever seen before, sir!" A light suddenly flashed on on one of the control panels. "This is strange... That thing... seems to be... hailing us, sir; video AND audio!" "Onscreen!" What Admiral Freeman saw onscreen startled and shocked him: He was staring straight into the face of a creature thought to only exist as an ancient earth child's toy, or in a video game he had played while on earth during the 20th Century, while he was posing as a young Human boy, around the ages of 7 to 10 Human years of age. It was a Lego "Rock Raider" Minifigure! And not just any Rock Raider, either, but their leader, known only as "The Boss"! The Minifigure spoke, just as Admiral Freeman remembered; kind of like an old gold miner from Ancient Earth's Hollywood studios! "This is the LMS Explorer to whatever's out there. We need your help. Our ship was en-route to our version of Mars in order to mine fuel, known as Brikonium, for our Homeworld, when an asteroid hit our fuel storage area. It caused a chain reaction between our fuel supply and carbon dioxide, which created a wormhole. We were sucked in because our remaining fuel was insufficient to propel us out of the wormhole's event horizon. Because of some events we cannot explain, such as miraculously arriving in orbit of a strange planet, holographic creatures known as 'humans' activating when an initial landing party went down to establish our first base, and then helping us out enormously by doing things like telling us where to drill, where to blast, and other important details, and then eventually leading us to this galaxy, we gathered enough fuel to blast off the planet and back through the wormhole, and into this position. We just used the last of our fuel to come to a complete stop not more than ten seconds ago. We need someone to tow us to a place where we can refuel, and get underway again. Or, if you can spare a guide, to do the above, and guide us back home. This is a recorded message from the LMS Explorer, programmed to activate whenever we come into a galaxy called 'The Milky Way' by those holographic beings that described themselves as 'Humans.'" The screen went blank for a second, and then back to the stars.

(You killed off my character! /Sad/ That D'deridex should be slightly stronger than the Enterprise-F because of the Enterprise being away for a while, while The Shadowflight is a very strong D'deridex, refitted only a year ago!I disagree! Also, really? the Shadowflight has a strong cloak, and and "inverse neutrino beam" can only scan the interior of a vessel.)

Havrahaus laughed. "Did they really think they could get us that easily?"

Shadowflight had engaged warp with 15 shuttles left and being repaired. They had also flown away and created a faux message from the "LMS Explorer" and a Holographic disguise. They noticed the Enterprises nearby, and simply laughed, agreeing with Havrahaus.

Suddenly, a perimeter alert sounded! "Sir, sensors now indicating several warp signatures! They read as Romulan!" Admiral Freeman responded with a curse. "Damn! They got away! All ships: prep for high-speed pursuit; possibly beyond Warp-10! We're goin' after 'em!", he said angrily. After recieving word that all his ships were ready, he personally viewed the sensor logs, laid in the new course and heading, and started them on the pursuit path. By allowing the partially-organic Enterprises to tap into his own magic, his ships were able to break all known speed records and barriers WITHOUT CAUSING THE CREWMEMBERS TO DEVOLVE! A couple of non-damaging explosions later, they had busted through the Warp-10 barrier, and were in high-speed pursuit of the Romulans. "Reporting new Warp Barrier, sir! According to my readings, we are at the equivalent of Warp-100!" "Maintain course and heading, Conn. I will concentrate on the speed." Admiral Freeman poured more of his inexhaustible supply of magic into increasing the Enterprises' speed. Their speed slowly increased, until they were indeed EVERYWHERE in the universe at once. He then focused his thoughts towards one thing: Stopping the Romulans in their tracks, and dropping fully out of Warp just ahead of them. A few shudders later, and it was done. He released the magic, and he felt exhausted for about 10 seconds. Then, the battle recommenced, and he began using every trick he knew, even dispatching a computerized message to the Romulan starships in a language any computer could understand, and no computer could refuse: Binary. It was designed that way in order to infect the enemy's power, stardrive, and weapons systems computer areas with a computer virus designed to render them inoperable, suck the power out of them, and transfer it to the Enterprise-F.

(Warp 100? That's Transwarp 2. Only a Borg ship can go that fast.)

Havrahaus was confused. What were they going after? Suddenly, The Shadowlight picked up a 12 signals slightly in Romulan Space. They recognized 11 of them as the Enterprises and 3 Romulan ships, A Transport and 2 escorts on a routine Courier mission. They recognized the 12th signal from their spy network on Earth, which was able to use it to defeat another ship.

They decided to tease the Enterprises, using the signal on the Enterprise-B but masking it, making it appear to come from a Federation outpost.

((Let's just say that I'm a good personal friend of Seven of Nine. And, since I did mention the Enterprises' tapping into DRAGON MAGIC, with which dragons can do ANYTHING, Transwarp speeds are now possible for the Federation, assuming there is a DRAGON onboard the ship. But let's cut the chatter. We've got a battle to fight!))

"Sir. signals indicate another ship entering the fray---ON OUR SIDE, sir! However, it reads as Romulan!" said a signals officer at his post. "Three ships, to be exact! Oh, dear! We've just intercepted a Romulan transmission, too! And it appears to originate from Earth!" "Barzuln!... Starfleet has a spy among them. I've got to respond immediately! Number One, take the Bridge. I'll be in my Ready Room." Admiral Freeman said. As soon as he stepped into his Ready Room; his PCT (Personal Computer Terminal) sealed the room against eavesdroppers and activated security measures. He then addressed his open monitor screen: "PCT Identifier Command-01: This is Fleet Admiral Freeman; requesting a secure channel to Starfleet HQ, Command and Control Division." The computer responded with a few quick beeps, indicating the channel needed authentication. "Authentication Code Alpha-Alpha-Two-Two-Three." Another few beeps, and the channel was open. "Activate video transcever." A voice came on the line: "Video Channel Open. Begin transmitting." "This is Fleet Admiral Freeman to Starfleet HQ: Come in please." A man appeared on the computer monitor. "Admiral Quinterros here, sir! What can I do for you?" "We have evidence that Starfleet HQ, and maybe Earth, has a spy on the planet. A Romulan spy. As a matter of fact, an entire spy network. Now; I need full cooperation on this. I need phaser sweeps in all areas; security personnel watching everything; curfews; everything we used against the Dominion, and more. If necessary; I want the people conducting the phaser sweeps to set their phasers on 'Kill'. Am I understood?" "Yes sir! Will do!" "I will notify you if the situation changes. Freeman out." The screen changed to a picture of an erupting volcano for a second, which calmed Admiral Freeman down (being a dragon, he has the power to make volcanoes erupt, as well as the heat resistance necessary to relax in the raging heat of a volcano) and then back to a starfield. "You're right, Computer... It is time for a lava bath... As soon as this situation with the Romulans is over, I've got to head for the nearest volcano to Starfleet and take a nice, long bath... But right now, I've got a job to do!" He left his Ready Room, and prepared for battle! "'Barzuln', sir?" "Old Earth curse; from the Middle Ages, when dragons were known to fight alongside Humans, for both just and unjust causes. The most notable cause being when a lone young Dragon Rider brought down an entire Earth empire that covered nearly all of Eurasia," he said with pride. "And, unfortunately, BOTH sides used dragons. But that's a story for another time, my friends." ((But YOU can read the entire full story in the Inheritance Cycle, found at bookstores everywhere.))

(You're a good friend of everyone, Saphira. Really, I've read the Canals thread.)

Havrahaus knew all 4 ships were in danger. He activated the ships' last hyperwarp beam, pulling all the ships to each other, and then used the last hyperwarp transport to warp to a lightyear from Remus. If he could just enable communications to Remus, he would be alright and they would be home. If he could not... no power for 3 days.
