Posted December 22, 2011 Layla ~ Eric Clapton @Jedi40: because, ipods and computers aside, when you're alphabetizing book or song titles, rule of thumb is article words such as "a" "an" and "the" are ignored. So proper alphabetizing for the song I wrote would be: "Emperor Waltz, the," with "the" being virtually ignored. Of course, I'm also old enough to remember card catalogs and mimeographs.
