woshiico0kie ~ The Psywave hit Patrat and pushed it back causing the pokemon to fall on its back. This angered it and instantly jumped up to the Solosis and hit him with a powerfull Tackle that send him to the ground...

"Okay." Jayune stashed three more pink berries in her bag as James took out his pokedex and examined the map.

 

Meanwhile, sandshrew had stiffened up after eating the berry and was scanning the nearby grass with intensity.

 

"Sandshrew, what is it?" Jayune looked in the direction of Sandshrew's burning gaze and saw nothing.

 

"Sannnndddddddd " Sandshrw wouldn't look away. Jayune shrugged and peered over James' shoulder to look at his pokedex.

 

"So we're here," Jayune pointed to the beige lines that represented routes. "We have to go there." She pointed to the big red square symbolizing a city/town. "So we need to go-"

 

She was cut off by a rustling.

 

"Saaannnnnnndddddddd" Sandshrew growled. There was another rustle, louder, where sandshrew had been watching.

 

"What. Is. That?" Jayune exclaimed.

While James and Jayune were looking at the map, Phanpy went and stood next to Sandshrew and also stared at the spot taht Sandshrew was looking at. He flared up his ears and stuck out his trunk to smell the air. "Phanpy what's there." Phanpy just shrugged not taking is eyes off of the spot, James looked at Jayune. "This doesn't seem good, for all we know there could be a flock of spearow just waiting to attack us. I've heard that those things can be vicious."

"Spearows." Jayunes said quietly. She was terrified of spearows and their sharp beaks.

 

 

"Sandshrew return!" Jayune held out its pokeball. As soon as it was placed in her bag, he reappeared in the same spot. Sandshrew continued to stare.

 

 

"James, what should we do? We can't leave them." The grass rustled again and she squeaked, clutching at James. "Not a spearow, please don't be a spearow!"

Serena crept closer to the sentret, which at first sat nibblling contentedly, oblivious to the stalking pokemon trainer approaching through the tall grass. "Are you ready, Pansear?" she whispered. The little pokemon vigorously nodded the affirmative. As soon as they were close enough, she called," Alright Pansear, use Leer attack and then scratch."

 

Pa...paansear!" the lttle fire monkey cried, attempting, Serena was sure, his best battle cry as he gave his most intimidating leer and then swept in close for a scratch attack. Serena watched , this was her first battle against any pokemon, trainer raised or wild and she hoped that she wouldn't mess it up too badly.

Rainbow_Joy and monkeyboy ~ Beneath the grass where both ground pokemon were staring at there were dweeling some pokemon. Annoyed by the insistanse of the Sandshrew a wild Patrat(lvl 4) and Pidgey(lvl 3) came out of the grass and both cried in annoyance at the pokemon trying to scare them away...

(you can decide who gets to battle who, or how to battle this two, but Rainbow_Joy can decide who to catch -if she wants to catch a pokemon- first since her pokemon was the first one to notice the wild pokemons)

 

LeopardDragon ~ The Sentret got hit in the back by the Scratch attack of the Pansear. Sentret got annoyed by being attacked while eating. The pokemon incorporated and stood on it's tail and glanced at the Pansear. The Sentert used it's tail to impulse itself towards the fire monkey and landed a Scratch on it...

The sandshrew growled as a pidgy and a patrat popped out off the grass. Jayune breathed a sigh of relief.

 

"Ready to battle?" She asked James.

 

"Go sandshrew!"

James didn't know how to react when Jayune clutched onto him, he just put himself between her and whatever was coming out of the grass. He gave a sigh of relief when just a patrat and pidgey appeared but Phanpy was still locked on the two pokemon as he was ready to battle. "Well Jayune, it looks like we have our first double battle on our hands." He sad as he looked behind him at the girl and gave her a smile.

 

"Phanpy go help sandshrew." James said and Phanpy stood next to sandshrew and crouched in a posistion to charge forward.

James' phanphy stood next to sandshrew.

 

"Right, now Sandshrew, use scratch on pidgey! " Jayune commanded.

 

Sandshrew leaped towards the pidgey claws outstretched.

Cyto, no! Morty cried out as the Cell pokemon fell from the air after being hit by the powerful Tackle by the Patrat. Cyto landed on the ground, luckily the squishy gel-like substance that surrounded it cushioned his fall somewhat, although it still hurt. Morty commanded, Alright Cyto! Use Reflect! Cyto got off the ground and his eyes glowed light blue, then, a clear "glass" wall appeared in front of it again. However, it didn't seem as powerful as when Cyto used it the first time, perhaps Cyto was already fatigued. Morty decided to give it another shot and commanded Cyto to use Psywave. The Cell pokemon’s eyes glowed light blue again, followed by the firing of light blue rings in the direction of the Patrat. Morty knew that Cyto was tired but asked him to try his best anyway. Cyto confirmed, Alright, I will! Let’s go!

"Phanpy use tackle on patrat." James told Phanpy as he saw that Jayune's sandshrew was attacking the pidgey. "If the pidgey gets airbourne Phanpy can always launch sandshrew in the air using his trunk so he won't get away." He said to Jayune as he tried to think of a strategy.

woshiico0kie ~ The Patrat stood infrot of Cyto when it landed on the ground and puffed its chest in proud by the previous attack. However, after the cell pokemon recovered and formed a wall infront of it Patrat stood on guard for any possible moves from its foe... useles since the Psywave was unstoppable and landed on it again. Patrat was pushed back to the ground and, anger again jumped to the Solosis to land a Tackle. The STAB power was enough to break the weakened barrier, but with the damage decreased. Both pokemon fell to the ground tired, but Patrat incorporated, clearly tired, but still willing to fight...

 

Rainbow_Joy ~ The Scratch hit Pidgey on its chest. The bird pokemon was pushed back by the strength of the power, but retaliated it with a Growl followed by a Tackle that sent the Sandshrew to it's trainer. The tiny bird stood in the sir awaiting it's foe's next move...

 

monkeyboy225 ~ The power of Phanpy's Tackle pushed the Patrat to a nearby bush. The scout pokemon hit the bush with its back, but the move anger it. Patrat Leered at Phanpy before retaliating with a tackle of its own that pushed the elephant back, but not too much due to its size. Patrat stood infront of Phanpy in battle position awaiting the foe's next move and a way to retaliate it...

"Good idea!" Jayune commented to James.

 

Sandshrew had successfully landed a blow on pidgey but he was knocked back again with a tackle.

 

"Oy pidgey! Get back down here!" She yelled at the bird pokemon. "You want to try out that plan of yours? she asked James.

Cyto, now, give it all you’ve got! Psywave! Morty hoped for the best, hoping, that this Psywave will be enough to knock out that Patrat. This time, Cyto’s eyes glowed with a fierce light blue, the light blue rings that were fired were much bigger now, with greater intensity and power. However, after releasing that attack, Cyto fell onto the ground, exhausted. If all goes well, perhaps a PokeBall would be in order. It would be nice to have such a fiesty Patrat to be added to the team.

"That sounds good right now." James told Jayune. "Phanpy throw Sandshrew into the air using your trunk than use defense curl to roll into a tackle against the patrat." Phanpy trumpetted and wrapped his trunk around sandshrew and slung him high into the air above pidgey. Phanpy than rolled into a ball and started to roll toward Patrat before unrolling and continuing to charge at it with its head down ready to make contact.

Sandshrew automatically curled himself into a ball as he was flung into the air to gain more height. Sandshrew was right in front of the pidgey now.

 

"Now scratch and try to weigh it down!"

 

Sandshrew slashed at the pidgey with scratch and grabbed the bird as he fell.

 

"I think it worked." Jayune said.

[Dr. Paine]

"Yeah, we just got out of the lab," Madison said, grinning brightly. "And I guess a battle would be fun, I need to see what Snivy can do. What do you say, Snivy, you up for it?" she asked, looking back at the little grass pokemon.

 

Snivy nodded, setting herself in front of the Mudkip and staring it down, only just resisting using Leer on her own. She had a trainer now, and she had to at least give the girl a chance at calling the shots.

woshiico0kie ~ Patrat araised and ran towards Cyto aiming to hit another Tackle, but was caught in mid way when the Solosis let out a last yet more powerfull Psywave. The Patrat got hit by the psychic attack and fell to the ground completely defeated, it's eyes twisting like swirls (@.@) ...

 

Rainbow_Joy and monkeyboy225 ~ When Sandshrew was sent flying in the air towrds it, Pidgey could do nothing to avoid it, the armadillo like pokemon hit the tiny bird square on the wing causing it not only damage, but making it unable to fly again.. at least for the rest of the fight. Meanwhile the Patrat had taken this chance to attack the distracted Phanpy, but by the momment when it was about the land the Tackle Phanpy curled itself and began rolling against it and both clashed in a double Tackle that sent both pokemon in separate directions. The Patrat clearly more tired than Phanpy. They could also hear a Growl that the Pidgey was sending towards Sandshrew in order to lower its attack...

Morty thanked Cyto and recalled him back into his PokeBall. He fixed his glasses before retrieving an empty PokeBall from his backpack. ”Alright! Let’s go, PokeBall!” Morty shouted as he threw an empty PokeBall towards the Patrat. The PokeBall hit the Scout pokemon and in a flash of red light, the PokeBall was rolling on the floor. The PokeBall rocked back and forth on the ground, its centre flashing the red light. Morty crossed his fingers, hoping that the Patrat would be captured.

The pidgey was unable to fly and sandshrew dragged it down from the air. It growled at Sandshrew.

 

"Sandshrew scratch again!" Jayune commanded. "Do you want to catch one of them?" She asked James.

woshiico0kie ~ The pokeball hit the numb Patrat that was laying on the ground. The red ray of light dragged it inside inprisonating the Scout Pokemon in it. The ball shook once... twice... a third time and finally the click! was heard as the ball stood still, Patrat had been caught!

Morty picked up the PokeBall containing Patrat and slumped to the ground. He thought to himself, Wow, that was really tiring… ”Alright, both of you, come on out!” He said as he threw both his PokeBalls, that contained his Solosis and Patrat, into the air. Cyto, say Hi to our newest member! Morty said as he gestured towards Patrat. ”MiMi!” The Patrat said as it introduced itself. Cyto smiled and floated around it. Morty took out 2 Oran Berries from his backpack that he saved earlier and gave each of his pokemon one. Both of them delightedly ate the berry. They seemed to be feeling much better now! As Morty patted the Patrat’s head, he said, ”You know what? I think I’d give you a nickname! How about, Mir?” The Scout pokemon grinned and made sounds, ”Mi! Minezumi!” Morty took that as a yes and laughed while ruffling Mir’s fur.

 

When they were done eating, Morty said, ”Mir, return!” A beam of red light enveloped Mir and he returned back into his PokeBall. Out of curiosity, Morty asked, So how do you like him, Cyto? Well I have to admit, he’s kind of funny! Cyto replied as he burst out laughing. Morty then said, Well, I guess we had best be going. But first, I think I’d better stock up on those Oran Berries, you guys may need them soon! Cyto nodded and floated around, helping Morty search for some of those berries. Morty walked around the trees and couldn’t really find any, perhaps other Pokemon had already taken them. Luckily, Cyto soon came back with 3 berries, an Oran Berry and 2 Cheri Berries. Morty thanked Cyto and placed the berries in his bag. He then continued on the path towards Prig Town.

 

Morty noticed a pond up ahead, surrounded by tall grass. Should we check it out? Morty asked. Why not? We may have a chance to see new pokemon! Cyto replied. True enough, in the pond and tall grass that surrounded it, there were various pokemon that Morty had not seen before, most of them were aquatic or semi-aquatic pokemon. He let his PokeDex scan most of them, marvelling at the different types of Pokemon there. He knew he could not fish yet, due to the lack of a fishing rod, but he wanted to try and battle a Water-type pokemon. So he waited by the side of the pond, until he noticed the water rippling.

James was happy that their plan had worked, but the smile fell off his face as he saw Phanpy go flying as he made contact with the patrat. "Phanpy can't take much more, but the patrat looks like he's done and the pidgeyis almost done also since it can't fly anymore. I'll let you pick first if you want to capture one." James told Jayune with a smile as he observed Phanpy to see if he could handle himself and concluded that he was good for a little longer.

woshiico0kie ~ As Morty approached the pond, a pokemon could notice the trainer from inside of it. It didn't took long for the Poliwag(lvl 2) to come to the surface to check on the human as it was not common to see them around here...

Morty noticed a face appearing from the water and got startled. He moved back, crawling on his hands dramatically. Cyto rolled his eyes and said, Morty, it’s just a Poliwag. Morty said in his defence, I…I knew that… He took out his PokeDex and let it scan the Tadpole pokemon. Are you fine to go, Cyto? If you are, start off with a Psywave attack! Morty asked before initiating the battle. Cyto nodded and followed up with the Psywave. Cyto’s eyes glowed light blue, indicating it’s Psychic powers are being used. Light blue rings fired from his body, floating towards the Poliwag on the surface of the water. Morty wasn’t so sure that the attack would hit through water though, which might mean a more difficult battle for Cyto.
