Broskii Region... a new region, a new adventure

poke11 ~ The screen whirled around black shapes of potential Pokemon. Like a casino slot machine, the three slots started to fill up with the dark sillouetts. BEEP! The first pokemon appeared and the computer spoke.

 

"Bonsly, the Bonsai Pokémon. In order to adjust the level of fluids in its body, it exudes water from its eyes. This makes it appear to be crying. It prefers an arid atmosphere. It leaks water that looks like tears when adjusting its moisture level."

 

The computer continued to spin through the slots. BEEP! The second Pokemon was chosen.

 

"Hoppip, the Cottonweed Pokémon. This Pokémon drifts and floats with the wind. If it senses the approach of strong winds, Hoppip links its leaves with other Hoppip to prepare against being blown away."

 

Once again the computer spun its last slot. BEEP! The final Pokemon was chosen.

 

"Shinx, the Flash Pokémon. The extension and contraction of its muscles generates electricity. It glows when in trouble. Its forelegs have a muscle-based system of generating electricity. Its body shines if endangered."

 

Scott-the-wolf ~ The Sentret pumped its chest and got on top of its tail trying to scare the other pokemon. But it didn't worked, Charmander's Scratch landed on its chest and pushed it back a couple inches. Enraged, the Sentret used its tail to jump over Charmander and Scratched its back and let out a Growl after...

 

The Rest ~

 

Day 3

 

The day of the Festival had arrived. At first hour in the morning a parade of Veteran Coordinators and their pokemon showed their abilities to the rest of the people. Magmars where spitting fire to the air as the parade made its way to the park. The police leaded by Officer Jenny and her Arcanine were marching accompanying the parade.

 

In the Park, fireworks blasted in the air as the tents in which the tournaments would be held arised above all the others. In the entrance, the former Broskii Pokemon League Champion Dante was making a show of his power having a double battle using his Nidoking and Armaldo against an invited Former Champion Coordinator who was using an Umbreon and a Gallade. On the tournament tents, the referees watched the profiles of all the trainers and coordinators that had signed up the previous days, hurrying to finish up the divisions and participants as there were only a couple hours away of the beggning of the tournaments.

 

Me ~ The day had finally come, this was going to be the day the tournament was going to be held. It was only the second day of his journey but it was an awaited day for him. Kaiser awaken by the sound of the fireworks blasting and got ready ust in time to see the parade entering the park. Happy, and with his pokeballs secure in his belt, Kaiser entered the park and made his way to the tent in which the Battle Tournament was going to take place...

Akira woke up to Fire Works. She sat up with a gasp then said "Ohmygosh! today is the tournaments!" Skit looked up tiredly with a "Nya?" But Akira soon was ready and the tired Skitty had to get up. Akira smiled then said "Let's prepare for the contests when we get there!" She then ran out of the room, her pokeballs on her belt, and poffins in her bag. Skit followed quickly after her. They skidded to a hault and looked in awe at the tents. Now which went first again? The battle tournement, or the contest? She couldn't remember now!

[Scott-the-wolf]

"Use scratch again!" Minn said and Charmander spun around and scratched the sentrnt again, "go Charmander! you can do it! your the best! use Scratch again!" Carmander scratched the sentrent again.

Zaak shot up, startled by the noise. There were fireworks. The tournament had begun. He flipped from his tree and did a shoulder roll on the ground and with Echo behind him they ran towards the grounds. there were so many incredible sights! Gastly was so excited he shot up in the air with the fireworks and started firing of Hidden Power. After Zaak persuaded him to come down, they ran towards the tents, running so fast they bumped into a girl with a Skitty accidently. "Sorry!" he said earnestly. "Just a little excited, that's all". Zaak held out his hand to the girl. "I'm Zaak" he said, then pointing to the shining blue pokemon floating above him he said "This is my Gastly, Echo".

Akira yelped, and stumbled forward a bit, but then turned around and smiled and said "Oh, Hi Zack. I'm Akira, and this is my friend Skit." She pointed to her Skitty, who was looking in awe at the odd colored Gastly. Akira took a good look then said "I thought Gastly's were purple... not blue...."

At an early hour, before most had comfortably waken up, Mia was sitting on the edge of her bed. She looked at the clock on the side of the room, noting that she had woken up at her usual time, 5:30AM. She smiled, stretching her arms and legs as she stepped to the floor. The night before she had placed out clothes for the next day, a ritual she had started as a young child. She yawned as she threw her limbs into the outfit, pulling at the fabric and flattening it against her body. She stood, her posture only slightly off to the right, and grabbed her bag, hanging it over her shoulder. She opened the door from her room after making her bed and slid silently out into the hallway.

 

Mia made her way to the Pokemart, which, to her elation, was a twenty-four hour store. She walked in and the clerk gave her a friendly hello; her response was a cordial "hiya." She searched for a moment and found what she was looking for, a belt to carry her current pokemon team. She grabbed it and quickly hurried to the counter, ordering a few potions, some extra pokemon food, some extra people food, and a few paralyz heals for the road. Mia's hand stretched into her bag, searching for the money she knew she had hidden in the pocket, and handed it to the man before her; he grinned, commented on the tournament and parade, and told her to "have a nice day."

 

She witnessed the parade from it's beginning, heard the fireworks go off, and saw the battle between the two champions. However, Mia was unaware of where to go next, or what to do. She hoped she could meet a travel partner sometime soon. At the very least, Mia wished to find someone who would watch the tournament with her - someone she could talk to.

As Crystal looked at her choices, she knew which one she had chosen. She had seen them all before, but not much.

 

Bonsly: She knew she didn't want Bonsly. She read what it said about it, and she knew that they regularly don't like swimming, which she happens to like too. That, and it just didn't seem like the companion for her.

 

Hoppip: Crystal had always liked Hoppip, and it was definitely cute. But she didn't want a Pokemon that always was flying away.

 

Shinx: She loved Shinx. It would be strong, cute, and friendly. Crystal would pick Shinx. It would be her first Pokemon.

 

Crystal pushed the button to choose Shinx. ' Hopefully I made the right choice', she thought nervously.

[Jeimuzu]

Diomedes had already made his way to the Park at earlier hours, all four of his pokemon out and about - while Chopper looked around, Mirk and Ludo were relaxing by the body of water, the Mudkip occasionally taking to a playful splash in the water as the Lotad took to sleeping. Even Tiamat had been sent out, the oddly capable golden Magikarp swimming around the pool, happy to be back in a water. As the fireworks flew, Diomedes smiled, looking forward to the Tournament and Contest in equal measure. "Tiamat..." The Magikarp swum to the water's surface and popped its head out of the water, looking to its trainer for only a moment before being distracted by the fireworks, her brilliant yellow scales shining clearly in the water. Diomedes rose an eyebrow at her. But he wanted to check something. "Use Splash, into the air." Snapping out of it, Tiamat leapt high into the air with Splash, easily reaching higher than the tents around them - sparkling beautifully, high above everybody. Diomedes smiled. "Perfect." Withdrawing all his companions apart from Mirk, Diomedes headed to the tents designated to the Tournaments.

((ITS ZAAK! LIKE HAWK!))

 

Zaak laughed. "Ya, that's what somebody else said too, but we can't figure out what it is. Anyway, it's nice to meet you Akira, you too Skit." Echo did his signature flash of light as a way to impress others. "So what tournaments are you doing here?" Zaak asked her.

[Dr. Paine]

Madison shaded her eyes from the morning sun as she watched the parade go by. She had gotten up early in the morning to make sure she'd get to see it all, and even if she did get tired later in the day... well, she wasn't doing anything, so she was at perfect liberty to go back to her room and rest. Of course, she had no intention of doing that unless she actually nodded off during the tournament, and just in case, she had some Cheri berries on hand, she had found they gave a great little energy boost if you got tired.

 

Madison chuckled slightly as she looked down at her pokemon. Holly had decided to hide behind Madison's legs when the fireworks began to go off, while Ziggy seemed to be half asleep as he nibbled at the grass, appearing rather uninterested in the events. She nudged the Zigzagoon into a more alert state as she heard the sounds of the opening battle not too far away, and together, the three ran to the entrance and staked out a good spot, eagerly awaiting the start of the other events.

Akira laughed and said "Both. I am looking to do both contests and gyms, so I decided to do both tournaments as well." Skit kept looking in awe at the gastly, especially when it sparkled... well at least until she caught sight of her tail. Once she saw her tail moving she quickly started to chase it round and round and round. Akira laughed then said "Which are you competing in?"

Echo laughed at the other pokemons obsessive playing. "I'm doing both too, but I'll probably do a lot better in the battles, I have never done anything to do with contests". He replied. "Echo here is an advantage in some battles since normal pokemon don't effect him".

Scott-the-wolf ~ Sentret was pushed back by the fires lizard's scratch. It hurted, but it was not going to go down so easily. Sentret let out another Growl before recieving another Scratch from Charmander. Luckily for it, the repeated Growls have weakened the fire starter's attack, and Sentret could still battle... but weakened. Sentret moved fast on all fours and jomped over Charmander, landing on its back and began Scratching it repeatedly...

 

((if you want to catch the Sentret, you need to do better than that post, I need to see more description and tactic from your posts, or else you won't catch the pokemon))

 

dracoon ~ The day of the tournament, Sebastian awaked, with Alrm Clock, his Houndour by his side. After taking a quick shower, he moved out the pokemon center, making sure to have all his possesions with him. Alarm Clock loyally running by the side of the tall trainer. After a couple minutes of heavy physical activity, they both arrived to the park, just in time to see the end of the friendly battle of a Nidoking and Armaldo against an Umbreon and Gallade. "those are good trainers" he thought to himself and continued to the tents in which the tournament was going to take place. Once there, he could see lots of people awaiting for the tournament to start, including the buy he had beaten the day before, he was with his Gastly floating by his side. He awaited there untill the annoucement of the tournament beggining was oficial...

Me ~ Kaiser finally arrived the deep part of the park in where the tournament was going to take place. He looked around, all sorts of trainer where there. Not only new trainers like himself, but all sort of trainers, there were even some old people awaiting for the tournament to start, maybe not all of them were going to battle, but it was nice to see they enjoyed the tournaments.

 

Everybody ~

 

Tournament A man came out of the tent. "everybody that will be part of the crowd, you can enter now through this entrance please" he said through amegaphone he was carrying. While the curtains of the tent opened and the people began entering, he turned to the peopl that were going to participate and spoke outloud again "all those trainer that will participate in the tournament, please come by this way" he said pointing and entrance on a side of the tent that leaded to the back part of it where the awaiting rooms were for the participants to await for their turn.

 

Contest A cheerfull woman came out of the tent with a microphone "allrighty, allrighty! all of you who will be the crowd of this first Contest of Pring Town please come through here" she said in a cheerfull tone and pointed to the tent's "dorr" with her micriphone. As the people began entering she moved a couple feet away and looked at the people remaining there "so, you who will participate in the tournament, please come inside, we will start soon and need you all inside before we can start" she said and leaded them inside the back of the large tent.

Akira nodded and said "Like Skit." She then laughed at her Skitty, running around in circles like that. It was just SO funny. She finally stopped laughing and said "which do you think will start first? Battling, or contest?" She then heard and gulped. How could she be in two places at once! She went closer to the tents then looked from one to the other, wondering what she was supposed to do.

 

(If they start at the same time, how are the people who are doing both going to participate?)

Hearing the loudspeaker, Zaak turned to Akira. "Well this could be problem" he exclaimed. Gastly stuck out his tongue in disgust, how could they want him to participate in both at once. He drifted down to Skit, beginning a conversation with her "Gas Gas Gasssstly" he said to her. (meaning, hi there, nice to meet you). Zaak thought for a moment. "I suppose if we're participating in both we wont be on right away, I mean, it's not like we will both be the first participants in both competitions, right?" Zaak said to Akira.

After she had gotten her pokeball that contained Shinx, she saw a pokedex and some pokeballs on the counter near her. She hoped they were for her, because, she took them and placed them on her belt. When she got outside, she took her Shinx's pokeball, and let him out so she could see him. "Hi! I'm Crystal" she said, smiling at Shinx. Shinx just glared at her and bolted off. "Hey! Come back!" she yelled and chased after her. When she caught up with Shinx, she glared at her and sat down. "Why did you run off?" she asked. Shinx started to groom herself, looking uninterested in what she was saying. "Are you even listening?" she asked, hurt that her own Pokemon doesn't like her for some reason. To answer, Shinx growled. 'That one hurt', she thought. Crystal suddenly got filled with rage. "W-Why don't you like me?! I thought that Shinx were supposed to be kind, playful creatures, not mean, bitter ones like you! How could you just judge someone that you don't even know the second you meet them!" Crystal was yelling now, she didn't mean to, but she did, and she couldn't take it back. She put the Pokeball down and started to back up. "You know what, fine. You can go off and take the Pokeball to go find the trainer that you like, at the time" she said. She was angry still, but she didn't yell. Crystal started to get tears in her eyes and she ran off. Shinx stared after her, thinking hard but in shock. How could a trainer like her have so much rage?

 

After thinking, Shinx picked up the Pokeball. She knew what to do. She ran after Crystal.

Akira nodded and said "Your right, let's see which we compete in first." Skit stopped spinning and looked at the Gastly and said 'Hi, I'm Skit, nice to meet you!" Her tail wagging happily, and the effort to not chase it again clear on her face.

[stromzone]

Hi! I'm Echo, I can't wait for the competition. Why do you chase your tail? "Good idea" Zaak replied. "So, uh, where would we go to check?"

Shinx ran after Crystal. When Shinx found Crystal, she was crying. Shinx appeared from the bushes with the Pokeball with her. "Huh? I told you to go find your tra-... Oh! You chose me?" she asked, surprised. Shinx nodded. Crystal smiled and picked Shinx up into a hug. After she let Shinx down, Crystal decided to name her. "OK. We've had a rough start, so I'm Crystal. Oh ya. You don't have a name, do you? So how about.. I name you Bolt!" Crystal exclaimed. Shinx nodded. "So, Bolt. Let's go on our journey now!" and with that, the two ran off into the route.

Akira thought and said "Well, I'd say by the entrances, wouldn't you?" Skit looked at Echo and said 'What's a tail? I chase after that moving thing! It's fun! But I can never seem to catch it... It's fast!'

[stromzone]

"Right" Zaak said walking towards the tent door opposite of him. ((Another collision?)) It's not a tail? Whoa that's cool! Maybe you'll catch it sometime. Echo looked behind him, but was just turning in a circle. I don't even have a body...or a head? I'm confused now!"

[akiraa]

Skit laughed and said 'Maybe you do! Maybe there invisible!' Before she noticed that Akira was heading into the contest tent. She looked over and said 'Oh no! Akira is leaving! I gotta go!' Before running off after her trainer.

Zaak headed into the tournament tent. He called after Akira "Check when I am on, ok?". He walked up to the board. There was an information sheet on who was battling who. He was on first! And he was battling...

As the two new friends were walking, they saw a boy with his Pokemon, battling another Pokemon. Crystal and Bolt started to walk over to him, they were distracted by a rustling in the grass in front of them.

Minn jumped up and down in excitement "SCRATCH SCRATCH SCRATCH!" She yipped she was to excited to hold it in, Charmander ran back and fourth shaking off the pokemon, Charmander turned around and jumped over the sentrent and then scratched from one side then jumped back over it scratching it from the other side, Charmander knocked the sentrent over with is tail then scratched once more. suddenly Minn was distracted by another trainer nearby, but quicky snapped back into the action and said "Scratch one more time!"
