dragoon ~ Prof. Pine looked at the boy and truned back t his desk and took one of the flyers. He handed it to him while speaking "you go to Pring Town, there is going to be an event in two days, they will have a tournament and contests there, so it would be a good experience for a new trainer like you" he said.

Sebastian bowed his head out of proper respect. He turned around and grabbed Jimmy and hoisted him onto his shoulder. "Alarm Clock. Come." The houndour came next to Sebastian. Sebastian put the stuff into his bag and left.

 

After leaving the lab the trio didn't stay in town and decided to head for Route 1.

Route 1

 

Tobias dropped Jimmy and told him not to move while he searched for pokemon. Jimmy knoded and Sebastian with Alarm Clock searched the closest area they found. It wasn't far, and was very barren so it was ideal for training.

 

Alarm Clock took a ready position at the edge of the grass and Sebastian walked around looking. He found something near a tree and motioned towards Alarm Clock to come. It took a fighting position and waited.

One eyebrow raised, Diomedes gave a slightly smug grin. It seemed pretty hungry, but it was in a good position to run if startled... If he could lure it out into the open, Mirk could guard its escape routes. Moving silently, Diomedes began to set a trail of berries from just in front of the Bidoof out into the narrow opening between the trees. He also left the bag open; the prospect of having the berries in it to eat would hopefully make Bidoof more willing to be captured.

[Dr. Paine]

"Oh!" Madison exclaimed, taking a quick step back to avoid accidentally stepping on the little Zigzagoon. "Hello there, sorry! I didn't see you," she said, kneeling slightly and looking at the pokemon. She knew a little bit about Zigzgoon, enough that she did rather want one on her team. But the pokemon looked so peaceful, just... sitting there in the path. And friendly, too, she wondered if it would be possible to win it over without a battle.

 

"Hm... so. What kind of berry would you like," she muttered, looking at the pouch. There was that super-sweet concoction, but she'd prefer to save that for Snivy. Otherwise, there were only a few small, still squishy berries, but it might be enough.

 

(... is it possible to win a pokemon over and catch it without battling, by the way? x3)

Jayune stretched out. "Tomorrow we should be able to reach Pring Town. But for now, I'm really tired." Strangely she wasn't hungry at all. "Are you hungry?" Jayune poked James.

 

Sandshrew was hungry though. "Sanddd sannnnddddd."

 

Jayune rifled through her bag. "Umm I have the berries, we should save those for battle. I have chocolate. I have granola bars and I have...." Jayune stirred the contents of her bag. "I thought I had some dried fruit."

 

Sandshrew shuffled unhappily. "I've got it!" Jayune pulled out a bag of all sorts of dried fruit. She gave Sandshrew some of it and Sandshrew munched on it happily.

 

"Banana chip?" She offered to James.

dragoon ~ Inside the tall grass a wild Zigzagoon(lvl 2) was staring at the trainer and his newly arrived pokemon. The racoon like creature took battle stance and let out a loudly Growl trying to intimidate the other pokemon...

 

((you're lucky, you're the first one to get the pokemon he wanted at the first encounter))

 

Jeimuzu ~ The Bidoof, "hungry" as it was followed the trail of berries eating every single one. One by one it ate all the berries it found on its way untill it reached Diomedes' bag and stared at it, confused if it should ate everything it could see...

 

Dr. Paine ~ Zigzagoon stared at the trainer in a confused manner when she stopped walking. At the hearing of the word "berry" it got exited and began jumping around the girl. It clearly didn't bothered to hear the rest of the girl's sentence, only "berry" was the important word for it...

Diomedes crouched as the Bidoof stared at the bag and its contents, bringing himself into its eye level. From his belt, he plucked a pokeball, pressing the button at it's center for its expansion. "Join us, and you can have something even better than just these berries..." He smiled softly. "...Not to say you can't have them, too." Mirk, stepping down from his trainer's shoulder, plucked another berry from the bag and rolled it in Bidoof's direction, reinforcing the point.

[Dr. Paine]

"Oh, you like them?" Madison asked, taking out the berries. She laid out a few in front of the Zigzagoon, each a different type, in hopes of figuring out what it liked. "Sorry the berries are so crushed... I'm working on keeping things better organized. But you know, I think Holly and I would really like another pokemon on our team, and you seem like a good one to have around."

Akira frowned a bit as Skit yelped as the spearow pecked Skit. Skit then turned around and waited for a command. Akira smiled and said "Use Growl! Then when it gets close use Fake Out then Tackle!" Skit nodded, then let out an enduring growl to make the Spearow less warry and lower its attack. She then waited till the Spearow got close, then jumped in the air close to it, clapped it's paws together, creating a shock wave to knock the Spearow back, then quickly went to tackle it weather it missed or not.

Alarm Clock took the attack head on. It held it's own and readied itself as Sebastian said; "Alarm Clock ember." The houndour jumped to the zigzagoons side and fired a fireball from it's mouth aimed at zigzagoons side. Sebastian hoped the zigzagoon wouldn't feint and that the move would hit. He readied a pokeball just in case.

 

((Luck is on my side. I'll never get a ralts.))

Jeimuzu ~ Bidoof stared at the pokeball in a confused manner. It move its head to a side as he took another of the berries and swallowed it whole. It took some time staring at the pokeball as if thinking what it was, was then when Mirk rolled a berry to it. Bidoof took the berry and munched it. After he have eaten the berry, Bidoof took another look at the poekball and pressed the button on the center. The pokeball dragged Bidoof inside and fell from Diomedes' hand as it began shaking. Once... twice... a third time... and a click! was heard. Biddof was caught without any trouble.

 

Pokemon Caught: Bidoof, level 3, Hasty nature, increased Speed, decreased Defense

 

As soon as it was caught, it took Bidoof a couple seconds to pop out of the pokeball. It shook its head and looked around as if wondering what have happened... It noticed the berries and took some and began munching them again...

 

Dr. Paine ~ Zigzagoon stared at the berries and back to the trainer. It repeated this action a couple more times as if asking "are you gifting this to me?" and since the girl didn't answered it took the squeezed berries and ate them all in a funny manner. Then it layed on its back with its belly filled and happy...

 

akiraa ~ Spearow recieved the Growl with little hesitation, but when the kitten jumped to its level it was shoked and couldn't avoid the pokemon's next move. It was thrown to the ground by the Fake Out and when it was about to land Skitty tried to Tackle it, was then when Spearow recovered control on its flight and avoided the attack. After Skit failed, a clearly tired Spearow took its chance and landed another Peck on the kitten pokemon...

 

dragoon ~ Zigzagoon looked at the Houndour moving to it side and let out an Ember attack over it. Little it could do at this distance to avoid the attack, so it Growled hoping the damage would be reduced and recieved teh scorching flame on its body. The fire sent Zigzagoon rolling back and landed on another clear patch on the route. there it stood up and ran towards the houndour and landed a strong Tackle on it that pushed back the dog...

"You like them, don't you?" Madison asked, reaching out to rub the Zigzagoon's belly. "You'll get a lot more if you come with me and Holly here..." With that, she reached for one of the pokeballs.

 

"Well? Do you want to come along?" she asked.

 

Holly had been observing things for a little while, but when Madsion took out the pokeball, she decided to move forward. She extended a hand to the brown and cream raccoon-like pokemon, as if to back up her trainer's words.

Skit yelped again, but shook her head. She was starting to get a bit tired, but she had to hold out. "Skit, hang in there! Use another Tackle, then if you have to another Fake out followed by a tackle!" Skit nodded, then tried to tackle the Spearow. If that didn't work, she'd jump in the air and clap her front paws together creating another shock wave that should make the Spearow startled a bit, then she'd follow that up with another tackle.

Dr. Paine ~ Zigzagoon stared at the girl and her pokemon as they extended their hands invinting it. Zigzagoon got "up" nodded and with its front paw it pressed the pokeball's button. The pokeball dragged it inside and fell to the ground shaking. Once... twice... three time and finally... click! Zigzagoon had been caught!

 

Pokemon Caught: Zigzagoon, level 3, Naughty nature, increased Attack, decreased Sp. Defense

 

akiraa ~ Spearow moved back as it heard the girl's voice giving commands to the Skitty. Skit tried to hit Spearow with a Tackle but Spearow was aware of it and could avoid the move, though, it was too tired to avoid the next attack. Skit clapped her hands when it failedn and an air shock wave moved towards Spearow hitting it in the back. The damage was now too much for Spearow to take and it collapsed to the ground defeated...

Akira smiled and said "Good job Skit!" Skit happily said "Nya!" Akira then grabbed another empty pokeball and tossed it at the Spearow. She really hoped this would make her second pokemon! Skit went over to Akira, and lied down watching the ball. She was rather tired now.

[Dr. Paine]

"Well. That... was amazingly easy," Madison said with a slight laugh, looking at Holly. The Snivy wore an expression of sheer astonishment, he had expected to have to fight the pokemon after all.

 

"Alright, let's let you out," Madison said, releasing the Zigzagoon. He gave himself a little shake before looking around, quite pleased with things. He and Holly began to 'talk' after a little while, and the two seemed to be getting along quite well.

 

"It's getting late... how about we get some rest?" Madison asked. reluctantly breaking the apparent conversation between the two. "We can get to the town tomorrow, or just find some new pokemon, you two probably need to level up a bit more!"

 

(And Madison's now in the group of people who are asleep )

akiraa ~ The pokeball hit Spearow on its head, the tired pokemon could do nothing to fight it back now and was easily dragged insde of it in the red ray of light that came from the ball. The pokeball closed itself and began shaking as the button in the middle of it turned red from time to time as it shaked. Once... twice... a third time... and click! Spearow was now caught!

 

Pokemon Caught: Spearow, level 2, Hardy nature, no stats increased or decreased

Akira jumped for joy and ran over and picked up the pokeball. She slipped it where her full pokeball's were and smiled and thought then said "I think I'll call him.... Imi (means mean in Japanese sorry but they are rather mean)" Akira nodded then smiled and said "Well then, I wonder what will happen now.." Akira grabbed a berry from the bush and ate it, throwing one to Skit as well, who quickly ate it. Akira then went over to Skit and dug through her bag till she found a potion (In most games it always gives you a freebie potion ) and then sprayed it on Skit, who flinched. But it worked and helped heal Skit all the way again. Akira smiled again, then went to find another Pokemon to battle or catch. She decided if she did find another one, she would then go to bed.

 

(I'm just curious, has Skit gone up any levels If not I was just curious, OH and if this isn't all right I'll edit)

James accepted the banana chip and started to chew on it while he fished into his pack for one of the berries he had, he split the oran in half and than have one half to Phanpy and than the other half to Pidgey. "Thanks for the banana." He said to Jayune as he yawned. "We should get some sleep so we can be ready to go when we get to Pring Town."

One eyebrow raised at his new pokemon companion, Diomedes scooped him up gently and placed him in the bag, amongst the berries he seemed so fond of. "Not even a Snorlax can just keep eating. You'll get full eventually." The Bidoof payed little heed to his trainer's words - it hadn't really seemed to grasp the concept that it was now in fact 'caught'. Right now, it was just happy with the berries. Mirk climbed his way up to Diomedes' shoulder and made himself comfortable. "Mudkip!" Diomedes sighed and began walking, heading to the waterside. "I know, its late. But there are two more pokemon I wish to try and find. Hoothoot, which will only appear at night. And Lotad. Any pokemon from the waterside will do, but Lotad are generally more friendly. I'm sure you'd get along with it well." Mirk nodded in consideration. Well... Maybe it was fair to let Diomedes at least try.

 

"Also, I need to think of a name for our hungry little friend." Diomedes scratched his chin in thought. "Chomp is too appropriate. How about Chopper?" Bidoof, while examining its next berry, looked up at Diomedes and blinked. "Bid!" "I'll take that as a yes." Diomedes looked up into the trees. "If Hoothoot will be anywhere, its the trees. Mirk, go up before me and search." Mirk nodded and charged up the tree, standing to attention on the nearest branch. Diomedes, with Chopper hiding from the unnatural height in his bag, soon scaled after him, gripping a stronger-looking branch. "Okay! Chopper, its fine to sit this one out." "Doof..." Diomedes grinned. "Mirk, stay close, but search in places I can't reach." "Kip!" They both moved on, carefully scaling the tree in hope of finding something.

 

Soon enough, Mirk called out to Diomedes. The Mudkip was prodding at a clump of leaves blocking the entrance to a hole in the trunk, cocking its head as it waited for Diomedes.

 

 

((Seeing as dragoon is still on day 1, I figured I could get away with still going for a little while longer. xP))

Alarm Clock got hit square on the forehead and slided but held his ground. "Alarm Clock Leer." The houndour lowered his eyes in an intimidating way and looked at zigzagoon. Meanwhile Alexander was behind the zigzagoon, and decided a sneak attack. Getting behind zigzagoon he mouthed 'Ember.' to houndour. He threw the pokeball at zigzagoon after Alarm Clock hit, or miss the zigzagoon.

Jeimuzu ~ Mudkip and Bidoof looked as they might, but couldn't find a pokemon on the tree. When Mudkip moved the leaves that blocked the hole, something could be seen there. A more deep inspection showed it was nothing but a Lucky Punch that was hidden on the tree...

 

(yeah, but we need to get moving, so, since you didn't post it was night now, you didn't find a Hoothoot... now skip to day 2)

 

dragoon ~ Zigzagoon got hit again by the powerfull Ember thrown by the Houndour. The racoon was thrown to some bushes nearby and collapsed from the burns of the fire attack. With its last strength the pokemon muttered a weak "~zagoon" and stared at the trainer as he threw a pokeball at it. A pokeball flew towards Zigzagoon hitting it on the belly and dragging the racoon in a red ray of light inside of it. The pokeball fell to the floor shaking and with its center turning red from time to time. Zigzagoon tried to fight the spheric prison, but even with all -the remaining of- its strength it couldn't get free. The ball shook once... twice... a third time and finally a click! was heard. Zigzagoon had been caught!

 

Pokemon Caught: Zigzagoon, level 2, Gentle nature, increased Sp. Defense, decreased Defense

DAY 2 BEGINS NOW!

Zaak woke up, dazed by the bright sun. He was a lot higher in the tree than he remembered climbing the night before, mind you, he probably went higher up in the middle of the night, half asleep. Then, as he slowly became more awake, he remembered that today was the day he was going to see the Prof, as he decided it was time to ditch his lonely life and go on an adventure. Zaak had lived in Greenwood Forest most his life, as far as he could remember. He had learned to get by on his own, and never really relied on somebody for help. But after 13 years, he was finally bored. He wanted a pokemon, but didn't know how to catch one, and had no other way of getting one. Until today, when he had been sleeping in a tree, just outside of Nut Town. He hadn't seen many pokemon, so he didn't have a lot of knowledge on them, but was a keen boy, and would likely figure a lot out. He began the short walk to the lab, and after about fifteen minutes of encountering interesting things on the way, he finally arrived outside the lab. Zaak was nervous at first, but then remembered what he wanted and headed in. He knew where he was going, straight to the slot machine, or whatever it was. The Prof. approached him, "This computer chooses your partner Pokemon based on your personality," explained by the Professor. "Just place your hand on the scanner and it will display 3 Pokemon for your choosing."

stromzone ~ The screen whirled around black shapes of potential Pokemon. Like a casino slot machine, the three slots started to fill up with the dark sillouetts. BEEP! The first pokemon appeared and the computer spoke.

 

"Deino, the Irate Pokémon. It tends to bite everything, and it is not a picky eater. Approaching it carelessly is dangerous. They cannot see, so they tackle and bite to learn about their surroundings. Their bodies are covered in wounds."

 

The computer continued to spin through the slots. BEEP! The second Pokemon was chosen.

 

"Cyndaquil, the Fire Mouse Pokémon. Cyndaquil protects itself by flaring up the flames on its back. The flames are vigorous if the Pokémon is angry. However, if it is tired, the flames sputter fitfully with incomplete combustion."

 

Once again the computer spun its last slot. BEEP! The final Pokemon was chosen.

 

"Gastly, the Gas Pokémon. Gastly is largely composed of gaseous matter. When exposed to a strong wind, the gaseous body quickly dwindles away. Groups of this Pokémon cluster under the eaves of houses to escape the ravages of wind."

 

[Dr. Paine]

"Ah... oh, good morning, you two," Madison said, gently shaking Holly and the Zigzagoon (which she had decided, though it was quite unimaginative, to call Ziggy) until they woke up. Ziggy was bright and alert the moment he opened his eyes, and immediately ran out of the tent to stretch his legs. Holly, however, seemed to protest a bit, pushing Madison's hands away. Madison kept at it though, and eventually there came a point where the Snivy couldn't go back to sleep, no matter how she wanted to.

 

"Come on! I'll give you some more of that berry juice stuff and we can get going, we should be close to the town... and until then, you and Ziggy can battle, how's that sound?"
