I really love Terraria. After a friend sent me a zip of it just to try out (I still have to buy it to get the updates), I got hooked in no time. I have been hearing a lot of debating about Terraria being a 2D copycat of Minecraft, but I think in a sense Terraria is a game all to itself. I never tried Minecraft before but I have seen clips of it.

 

The most fun thing about Terraria is, of course, the exploration. Mostly underground but there are plenty of things to explore above ground, too. You need to mine certain ores to get better gear and weapons, fight off different monsters, and there is an underworld way down below.

Eye of Cthulu is all too easy to beat... All you need is some srmor, a gold+ sword, a bow and a few healing potions. (and a health upgrade or two)

Is Hamachi supposed to make setting up servs easier? Because it seems easier to set it up manually (except for constantly port forwarding)

How did you get it free? Did a friend gift it to you on Steam?

 

I love this game. I have one character I always keep, an then pne to work on alone. When I finish him, I start anew!

That's pirating the game and as such is illegal in most countries. I guess I can't stop you, but freely admitting that you pirated a game isn't really something you want to do...

 

I'd suggest buying the game ASAP.

My cousin gifted Terraria to me on Steam and I love it so much. I found a way to duplicate items when I'm playing with someone far away because it lags. I have soo many featherfall potions. Actually, I'm gonna go play it right now. If anyone wants to join me, PM me and we can set up a server on Hamachi.

I bought Terraria about when it came out, and am still playing it now. It's an amazing game, and I find it easier to play than Minecraft - mainly because I'm not half as terrified all the time!

I bought this game on release day and love it to death. I haven't played it in a while, because I'm waiting for 1.1.

 

Once that update comes out, I will play it for WEEKS.

Actually, the official Terraria site has a server creator for PCs. Takes maybe 5 seconds to download, and you're off having adventures with your friends!

I remember when I fought Hardmode bosses (It was PAIN to defeat The Twins and Destroyer), I roared in rage, trying to beat these. Then I have read some tactics and fought the Destroyer, then The Twins (beaten both of them after some tries). And - strangely - I defeated Skeletron Prime on my first try!

Crazy, huh?

Two of my friends and I were facing Skeletron Prime, and we had him to 100 health where any of us could two-shot him, and then the sun came up, his armor and attack skyrocketed, and he crushed all three of us in one blow.

 

I was devastated.

I've seen the trailer for 1.1 Terraria and it looks like a completely new game from before. First time I watched it and when it got to the bosses, I literally said a long "whoa" when I saw the Wall of Flesh. I wish I can buy this game and enjoy it the way I've watched people play theirs on Youtube.

Anyone know if terraria can work on the mac? Because my laptop is old and outdated, and windows may not be licensed on it, so it can't really update, but i'm not allowed to use my dad's work laptops, and the only other computer in the house is the Mac.
