So I got this a very very long time ago: Bronze x Frill and of course it was during a time I knew nothing of lineages. I sadly ever had the chance to nab one frill which don't think can do much with frill

 

What could I so to make a nice mate, is it worth it, or is there somewhere I could gain assistance to build something?

Honestly I think they are both beautiful and I really couldn't pick a favorite.

 

@ lilacamy931 - That is such a pretty tinsel. Too bad you don't have a Frill that you can use as a mate. I have two CB female Frills. If you like the idea I could build you an opposite stair with Frills and GW. Other than that, I would suggest using another CB green dragon as a mate -- maybe a vine? None of the green dragons currently in the cave are quite as dark as the Frills, though.

It's no trouble if you don't mind waiting a bit. I am a little behind on my breeding schedule right now after the holidays and if we get another new release that will set me back more. But once things settle down it shouldn't be too hard if the dragons will cooperate.

Not sure what to do for a mate. No way I can match or mirror it exactly -- acquiring another 2G Blusang shimmerkin seems unlikely, to say the least, and I don't know what would mirror the Snow Angels, especially with the rotating wing colors. Any ideas?

But...but...choosing one is sooooooo difficult! Well if you think they both look nice I might as well just go with whoever colors correctly first. This time hopefully without refusals.

I'm asking because no one seem interested in it - I tried to gift its previous sibling in departure threads and I ended up keeping it, and again no one is taking this one too - so I was wondering if there is something wrong I can't see in this lineage and I'd better stop breeding the parents together and look for alternative mates for them instead

I think it's fine. A bit unusual with the male female color alterations but still very pretty. I saw yours in the departure thread but didn't take it only because I was egglocked. Perhaps others didn't take it because the thread was moving too fast and people were gifting metals?

Basicly, I want to start breeding my soulpeaces, but I'm not sure what to partner with them or what kinda lineage to do.

I was also told to not use breeds such as Bleeding moons, Nhiostrifes and Seragammas as they're apprently very dominant with eggs. so does anyone have any idea what I could use while keeping it looking pritty?

You've been giving that away?! That's beautiful! It reminds me of the pattern types used in the Lovely Commons project with that alteration in the middle Beautiful way to show off the different colors of the silvers.

 

Sarah has a valid point. People like to pick up metals in the departure threads. I've noticed that my metals vanish way faster than my common lines do. And sometimes the commons don't vanish at all. It's a real shame since there are beautiful, yet under rated lineages that get passed by and ignored.

 

The other issue might be that it's not one of the forum standard recognized lineages. It's not a stair or spiral or a perfect checker. The forum is blind in some respects to perfectly nice lineages if they don't fit one of those molds.

A big double-step like that would be a handsome lineage for soul peace dragons. If you like it, go for it. It's easy enough to make additions onto since it just takes the main branch and 2nd gens. You could have fun with it by doing spirals, or alternating the male/female combos of the 2nd gen's CB parents. If you wanted an even gen, you could alternate with the skywing's other bred hybrid and do a checker. Scratch that, I still have that example bluna on the brain.

 

Bleeding moons are quite dominant when breeding. They're only outdone by Serragammas who have managed to break through the breeding dominance, and the newest breed, nhiostrifes. Anything else seems to come out as a bleeding moon, I've not heard of anything else breed from them at the moment. Its great if you like them, not so great if you want variety.

If you wanted an even gen, you could alternate with the skywing's other bred hybrid and do a checker.

You might be mixing things Skywings only have the Bluna hybrid. Waters have two hybrids to go with: Bluna and Goldfish. Soulpeace is a hybrid of Daydream and White.

If you like even gens I saw someone showing off a pretty one a few days ago that I decided I would like to copy. Now I can't find the post, but basically it is Male Soulpeace x Female Hellhorse. The Soulpeaces came from Daydream father x White mother and the Hellhorses came from Horse father x Hellfire mother. I don't have enough of it done to really see what it looks like, but this is close, only with the Daydream and White parents reversed, which I guess would work, too. http://www.coup-detat.info/NDER/Lineage.ph...ate=7atow&style[bg]=y&style[border]=n Then you just keep adding more units like that to build higher gens.

Thanks for the info, This is really my first time doing proper lineages from scratch, and not actually just continuing them like with nearly all my lineaged dragons.

 

I might go with Hellhorses, since I love them as a breed, and I might have a bit of a play with the layouts. I feel a step/spiral maybe more doable for me since I'm a bit of a newbie and they're the ones I have most experience with.

You could breed another 3rd gen from a 2nd gen PB Pygmy and a 2nd gen PB Crimson Flare, either as a mirror (Crimson Flares on top) or as a match (Pygmies on top).

Or you could breed a mate from two 2nd gen PBs from other Pygmy breeds.

On a request list, have to choose a mate. What would look best with a silver shimmer? I thought red dorsal or crimson so that I can breed it with http://dragcave.net/lineage/QHJtu but those breeds are a pain to get shimmers from.

Simply a Red dragon maybe? After all, there are already 2 reddish dragon breeds in that lineage. Right now, Royal Crimsons are very dominant when it comes to breeding.

 

Alternatively, if you manage to get another request list spot for another Silver (or a Silverfail), maybe choose blueish dragons, e.g. Royal Blue and Moonstone or Tsunami or Ice.

Maybe but I don't even have a mate for it and red dragons seem kinda bland to me *shrugs* What do you think of with graves? Or are there any other pairings people like? I know silver, gold, green copper and thunder mates are quite popular.

With Valentines coming up soon, and myself coming out of an enexpected hiatus, Im taking a look at my Valentines pairings. Ive got decent enough ideas for all of them but one.

 

This Sweetling. I just have no idea where to go with it, and Id rather not squander the opportunity at something nice. I almost thought about breeding something from my female Frilled or Hot Pink for even gens, but Id still need to figure out what to pair with them, if I even go with either.

 

Any ideas?

Oh, pretty!

Hmm, unluckily it gendered male, so you can't continue it as a "perfect" checkered. Maybe you could try to build a dragon with the same lineage, but white this time, and influence it female. This would require quite a work because you'll need to start from the 2nd gens.

 

Or if you like I can give a sibling of http://dragcave.net/lineage/0mnJL : it doesn't have the marrows and the alt sweetling at the first gen, but it follows a white x red checkered like the other generations of your red
