I like Chrono x Aeon especially with the lit up sprites (example, offspring of one of my pairs). I think the time theme is fun and I've been planning to do a larger lineage with them, although I haven't had a whole lot of luck catching either in the cave so it's slow going.

I was hoping for a bit of advice on some lineages I was planning, please - both based on songs, one inspired by Bloodborne and one by Dark Souls which has to me thinking of using Spirit Wards for both, but I'm not sure which to checker them with. I was thinking the newly released Scripts for one of them, but not sure which else and would love some ideas, please.

I got this from the wonderful @Daydreamer09 - golden lunar herald x spirit ward. It's gorgeous when out of glow and just heavenly when in glow.

 

I never got very far on it (never even got a 3rd gen checker, lol), but back when spirit wards were still fairly new, I liked the idea of them with hellfires: https://dragcave.net/lineage/ooGsu

Suggestions for really nice pairings for both Male Golds and Female Golds? I am doing a bunch of Lyrics Lineages and I want the main Breed to be Golds in each, but I want different pairings for each (if that makes sense). I'd really like to hear what people like with Golds. Examples are a bonus.

Well ... Looking through what I have, I see a few I really like, and I notice I may be missing some that I might work on in the future

I have seen elsewhere Golds with Gaias which I liked as well,I just don't own any.

However, both Golds and Blusangs are somewhat frustrating breeders. Expect "no egg" most of the time.

This is probably an unusual question, but does anyone have song/poem/quote/etc ideas for the following combos? I don't need to be familiar with it, just something interesting.

• hellfire x frostbite
• greenwing x carmine
• greenwing x undine
• tarantula hawk x honey drake (maybe something sweet/poison/sting/bug related?)
• kingcrowne x script
• bluna x shallow water

 

Also, any breed suggestions for the following?

• The Bomb (I may use female monarch)
• Silver and Dust (I may also use a monarch or two for this, but I don't like purebreds xP)
• Piano Man
• Build Your Cages
• Boulevard of Broken Dreams (maybe a spirit ward x something)

Do you mean how can you tell what the adult will look like from looking at the egg? Well, it used to be (back in the dark ages ) that you just had to wait for it to grow up. Now we have the wiki. While it is not official and not 100% accurate about everything, it does give information about what an egg will become. http://dragcave.wikia.com/wiki/Which_egg_is_which%3F

And a question of my own. I received this lovely Snow Angel with a rather unique lineage and I am not sure what to breed her with. She will grow up with solid gold wings on my scroll. I have no equally awesome CB dragons to breed her with unless I win the raffle, so what do you think would make a good mate for her?

Two things that i have in mind:

A or continue the checker

Aria Dragons (former old Pink Dragons) are still able to breed normal Pink Dragons so since we have new owners of CB Yulebucks you can ask and trade for 2nd gens from Aria and Yulebuck that happens to be a Pink. Then of course you will need a 2nd Yulebuck next Holiday season and then you can breed a Pink mate should your new 2nd gen Yulebuck and 2nd Pink from Yulebuck x Aria not refuse each other. So better get at least two Pinks from Yulebuck x Aria.

B or go with another Yulebuck checker

You can experiment with the different colours from Fire Gems (colours depends on the hour of breeding) or Gemshards(colours are completly random!).

Or you have normal green Undines in the base and the Alt Yellow Undine starting from 2nd gen. Not sure if that will look good.

I have a chance to bring together the two Waterhorse Thuwed lines, but the first one I got didn't gender right.  I got them far enough apart that I had no chance to influence the Water Walker to be male since I didn't have any breeding plans for it as an egg.  If it had been male, I would have tried to breed one more generation of the Water Walker to make an arrowhead, but now the Water Walker is female.

 

So what do you recommend?  I could just go ahead and influence the egg to be a male and have the two Waterhorse Thuweds look that much closer together on the offsprings' pages, even though they'd be uneven generations.  Or I could influence the Water Horse egg to be one of the other, breed the Water Walker, then match 2 fourth gen Thuweds--they'd be the same gen that way, but messy.

 

Any ideas about how to influence and what to try for as a mate if I got the next gen on the Water Walker?  They'd have never been a perfect Arrowhead anyway, with a Holliday dragon in the mix, but I'd like to do something with this pair, and I just can't visualize my choices.

So I am working on a perfect checker eg with male sunsong and female white. Currently I have 11 cb pairings and counting. I am still gathering more so that it can get bigger and I am starting to breed the pairings to work on the second generation. I was wondering if there was any advice on building such an epic lineage without finding others with a breeding pair?

Luckily for you, Whites and Sunsongs are not too difficult to find, which also means, you may easily find people willing to breed 2nd gens for you.

You could use this thread for 2nd gen requests whenever you have an eggslot or two to spare.

(I'm egglocked myself, otherwise I could probably drop 2 or 3 eggs of that type on you )

This is definitely something I have been thinking about but I don't know if I want to have them all on scroll or not something to think about thank you for the thread!

In that case, for even-gen, you need powers of two breeding pairs.

1 pair for 2nd gen

2 pairs for 3rd gen

4 pairs for 4th gen

8 pairs for 5th gen

and so on.

That's basically the only advice for such a project, besides "always use Fertility on first breeding!"
