Pirates of the Caribbean

The Pirates of the Caribbean movies are some of my favorites. I love all the characters, from Will and Elizabeth to Captain Jack and Barbossa to even Pintel and Ragetti (kudos if you know who they are by name). I was sad at first when Will and Elizabeth weren't going to be in the next movie, but then I learned it's just a spin-off, and not actually part of the main series. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who has some opinion on the movies, so what do you guys think? Were they good? Bad? Who's your favorite character? Are you excited for the next movie?

First, excellent choice of topics. I to love the movies, and yes I know who Pintel and Ragetti are. My favorite character is Jack (obviously) but my least favorite are Will and Elizabeth. They were always kind of boring (at least to me) I am very excited about the 4th movie but I wouldn't really count it as a spin off, it takes place after the 3rd movie. The creaters say that the will/elizabeth arc is just over. Anyway my favorite would be number one just because it was something that had never been done before. The 2nd was my least favorite because it was a transition movie.

Dude I do not even remember them. I just know that the jar of dirt is amazing.

 

I do remember the first movie, though. It was awesome. And the third was good, if I'm remembering it right. Davy Jones and Jack Sparrow were cool.

 

I don't know who those guys are. >_> The twins? And, yeah, the new movie will probably be fun. ^^ If anything, they're always good to look at. Special effects, ftw!

I haven't seen it, but I definitely intend to. I just need to find the time >< It's probably not a good idea to see it during the first days anyway, as I suppose it'll be pretty chaotic at the movies

I saw it the other day, it was awesome and so funny too I hope they make a fifth since they are still going strong with the scripts. I just want to see more Jack Sparrow

I've seen it yesterday! The Flying Dutchman was my favorite ship (it is sooooo pretty.. not just because I'm Dutch ) but Queen Anne's Revenge is amazing too!

Lol, Blackbeard was my favorite character in this one. I thought he was pretty awesome, he'd be a BA father.

 

Anyways, just saw this yesterday with my girlfriend. We both loved it! It was waaaaay better than the 2nd/3rd ones. I thought it was going to be worse without the popular Will and Elizabeth in there, but honestly, I think it was better without their love affair tangled in the plotline~

Saw it yesterday. I wouldn't call it the worlds most fantastic movie, but it's decently entertaining. definitely (with an I, not an A) a case of "Did somebody order a large Ham?" though.

I like to see that it is Ham-worthy. PotC was always a little bit of camp, hammy fun though, so I'm glad to see you guys think it is.

PotC is definitely one of my favorite movie series, and I'm going to see On Stranger Tides soon (I hope :/ ).

Nope. I thought that whole story awesome and more entertaining than the Will/Elizabeth story. =P

I did really like how the mermaids were portrayed.

 

I also thought Cruz's role was really hyped up. Maybe it's just because I don't have TV and just looked up on trailer, but I was really expecting an awesome chick who was almost like a female version of Jack. That's not how she came across in the movie to me at all. x3

 

And I laughed at the after-credits scene. Much more worth it than the dog in the second movie or the child in the third. o3o

Pirates fan here. : D Favorites would be the first and the most recent one. The second and third were alright, I have no problem watching them. Buuut, the first will always be the best and the fourth easily topped those two. I hardly even remember the second/third plotlines... I just remember octopus man and that's it. o.=.<

Jack Sparrow : Thank goodness for that, 'cause if I wasn't this would probably never work.

I LOVED THE FOURTH MOVIE! I was so engrossed that I forced my dad to wait ten minutes till the ending credits were over just to watch the after scene. =D

 

On Stranger Tides was hilarious and I was laughing when Jack abandoned Angelica on that island. it's like:

The mermaid attack was definetly one of my favorite parts. I love Philip x Syrena <3

 

Another one of my favorite parts was when Jack and Barbossa teamed up to get the chalices and another was the final battle of the Fountain of Youth.

Jack: He's religious I believe it's required.

 

However, I was horrified at what Blackbeard did to the Cook =(

 

But, I'm only going to say one thing about the movies before:
