The Person Below Me: true or false

Recommended Posts

False. I have no clue who Howard Johnson is?

TPBM has a fear of wizards, including Harry Potter! O:

(Just want to share this, I have a stuffed animal still around from when I was kid. A webkinz, if anyone remember those. My first one was a chihuahua.)

TPBM forgets things often

Very true currently. Usually, though, I find it most difficult to remember things that happened long time ago. I have quite few memories from my childhood, whereas my dad remembers literally every second even though he's 70. But he has always had an abnormally sharp memory... I must have inherited mine from my mom, instead. She's the one that has always forgot everything. 😹

The person below me is dreaming of cold weather right now.

False, I've never had it.

The person below me enjoys baking more than cooking.

False. I enjoy the results of baking, but it's too fiddly and exact of a science to truly enjoy it. I'm more of a "toss in a little of this, some of that, and season to taste" kind of person. This is great for making soup, not so much for baking a cake.

TPBM has participated in NaNoWriMo (the regular in November or the "Camps" in April or July) at least once.

False. I've been in a writer's block for anything other than FF7 related, which sucks. I love FF7 (wouldn't have Cloud as my avatar if I didn't) but it is nice to write for other series too, but my mind just goes... blank.

TPBM plays video games on Steam

True! Dio, The Last In Line tour, 38 years ago yesterday (21 August 1984), Twisted Sister opened. Dee Snider was vulgar as heck and mightily offended my dad (who embarrassingly insisted on coming to the show with me and my friend, because oh noes, it's a rock concert!) with all the f-bombs he dropped while bantering between songs. Ronnie James Dio's voice was pure magic to hear live, and my dad said he still didn't like the music, but at least that Dio character put on a classy show. We were up in the cheap seats, of course, and the tickets were $12.50 each. (As opposed to the $120.00 each I paid for comparable seats to a concert I'll be attending in October - or the $269.00 each I paid for 2nd row seats at a concert back in May. Don't you just love inflation?)

Okay, now that I've bored everyone, waxing nostalgic...

TPBM has tried waterskiing.

True. I was so-so at it.

My first concert was ABBA's Voulez-Vous tour. I remember being floored to find out one of my then-absolute-favourite songs was by ABBA (Knowing Me, Knowing You - not sure how I'd missed that, but it was the opening song). It was a very late night for me and I remember my mother saying that it was the first time I'd ever been a 'real' teenager, coming home that late. [Off-topic... sorry!]
