This egg looks like it doesn’t belong; it is brightly colored with white spots. It’s much lighter than the other eggs.

Das Wunder von Bern is a film released in 2003 by Sönke Wortmann. The film details two linked stories, though it focuses largely on the 1954 FIFA World Cup as a historical narrative to couch the cultural narrative of the Lubanski family as they attempt to welcome husband and father back into their lives, as he has returned after 11 years in a Russian prison camp. Between the physical location of the film – set in Germany, with a foray into Switzerland for soccer games – and the temporal setting of the film, 1954, I am doubly removed from the culture portrayed in the film and find it somewhat muddled which differences are present due to temporal dislocation from the present day and which are from the different culture of Germany post World War II.

Soccer and sports fanaticism are not unknown elements of culture in the United States, though the two are not linked to the same degree that they are in Europe, since (American) football is king, with baseball coming up behind it in the off season. Similarly, it is not unheard of for parents to be gone in time of war and return home to children they have never met, albeit generally ones younger than we same in the film due to deployment rotations being shorter than the imprisonment that was depicted in the Lubanski family’s case. Of more interest than either one of these two disparate cultural elements is how they were tied together to move forward with Richard Lubanski’s reintegration into his family.

When Richard Lubanski returned from Russia, he had literally returned from extended mistreatment and starvation at the hands of his former enemies, coming home to a family that had managed in his absence without much visible hardship compared to his own plight. He complains about his children’s lack of discipline due to how much work his wife had had to do to keep up the family and the bar that they owned, and in the same scene promises that he would go back to work in the mines to feed his family – a job that would similarly leave him indisposed to do much raising of his own family, either. His initial rejection of soccer was not only due to seeing it as a trivial waste of time – an example of a generational difference, since he had served in war, and his children had not – but because his son, Matthias, looks up to a soccer player as a father figure instead of his own father.

While the physical discipline and controlling nature of the father is understandable given his experiences, and fairly consistent with the time period compared to American disciplinary culture as well, it is entirely rejected by his entire family. His wife shields his youngest son from his beating when he’s dragged back home after running away; his daughter rebels when he attempts to control her method of dress and who she can socialize with; and his oldest son not only threatens to hit his father back if he hits Matthias again, he leaves the house entirely for a different country.

... yeah. That is literally in my clipboard.

Ever since he was a hatchling, Onion Jockey Angel of Timbuktu, or just Onion, had an abnormal affinity with horses and all things equine. Because of this, he was bullied by the other hatchlings. They teased him with pony-related songs, all sung off-key. Emotionally scarred by the bullying, but still unfazed, Onion set out to follow his hatchlinghood dream: To build a sanctuary for horses, named Equestria. Onion still hasn't succeeded, but tourists often visit the cave to see this famous horse-taming dragon.

Uggh, what is the difference between ''A'' and 'B''? This whole team was better when we just talked about life, and now it's stupid.

There are actually a couple of people who achieved godhood, King of Worms (But didn't become a Divine) and Talos/Tiber Septim are a couple of examples. And there are also 4 known Avatars of the Nine Divines, The gods that have/had avatars are Akatash, Mara, Zenithar, and Talos.

I know, right? I was doing ninja kicks all over the house at like twelve last night because I was wearing only a black tank top and black leggings once I took the costume off.
