Hi, it's Mistshadow here today with..

 

The Worst Possible Egg You Own That Could Come Down With Soft-Shell!

 

By 'worst possible egg', I mean the most precious egg(s) that you own that would come down with the dreaded soft-shell.

 

Example: "If my Magma Dragon egg came down with soft-shell, I'd be devastated!"

 

If you've ever had a egg come down with soft-shell, you can also post saying that you had _________ Dragon egg come down with soft-shell and you cured it/it died.

 

So, this is mine: I wouldn't be that sad if my eggs came down with soft-shell because they are all commons, but my Ridgewing egg came down with soft-shell but I cured it in a matter of a few hours.

Although my Ridgewing is inbred, which always seems to happen when I save from the AP.. It's a shame because it's such a pretty dragon.

One of my valentine's eggs got softshell while I was at work and died before I got home. :C I was EXTREMELY lucky to catch another when I got home. If I hadn't.... I would have been very upset.

once a CB autumn egg got soft shell and died while my boyfriend was watching a movie. it was awful I really thought it can't die so fast! the movie lasted for 1,5 hourd only, and after that I opened my scroll page and it was dead.

 

and now I would kill myself if my Black egg gets softshell! it's a 2nd gen from a Rosebud and a part of a lineage project!

One of my Val 09s died this year...I freaked... Luckily the limits allowed you to get two again even if one died.

I've seen people have multiple eggs just sitting there, dying, for different amounts of days.

And yes, I've seen them get another egg a day after one dies when it got softshell at about 2 days, so they aren't just taking a vacation.

We had a sort of mini discussion in help about what seemed to be lower stats still producing soft shell in various eggs. But, be that as it may, I've had silvers go soft shell really quickly so I've learned to keep them away from any fansites for twenty four hours. Even with using only one site they've gone soft shell...mini meltdown when that happens. Of course last year both of my Valentines went soft shell almost immediately. It seems that certain eggs are just more inclined to it I believe. On the other hand my vamps never seem to come down with it (except one that went through a glitch in the site to over 11,000 views but even that got better) nor my blacks for some reason..go figure.

Prize eggies, both of them-- which if you think about it, is absolutely ridiculous, because these suckers take so many clicks and views just to start cracking (don't even ASK how much it takes to make a hatchie gender) that I have to ask-- HOW can it get sick? I had one in an ER for nearly ten hours before it started hatching, that's how bad it was-- but of course, sick the instant it hatched. I just don't understand these things, it shouldn't even be possible with something that needs so many views.

SD is pretty strict forum compared to some of the others-- don't try to provoke response like that, because it's also a slow forum... some threads are always on the front page, too, so people regularly check the second page for interesting discussion anyway. You'll get talk for as long as people are interested, but don't expect this thread to move at the speed of a chat-- or for general chatter to be allowed.
