Posted August 20, 2011 In World of Warcraft, you can do player versus player. Whilst in PvP and fighting someone of the opposite faction at close range, it's a good idea to move around a bit. Like a lot. So that they have a hard time targetting, hitting, and casting on you. Because players need to actually turn and follow you and have you infront of them at all times as they try to beat you down. In dungeons, instead of players, what you have to fight are elite NPC's, which are pretty much just empty shells with weapons. There is no player inside of them, all there is is programming. And NPC's aren't programmed to need you infront of them. Not only that but they're automatically moved to face your direction, and your moving doesn't interrupt their spells or special attacks. And they also don't lose their targets unless something else generates more threat than you. Sometimes the elites will cast AoE spells that can hurt you if you stand in it, however simply moving out of the way will suffice, seeing how most AoE's don't move... ever. Which pretty much means that using that PvP maneuver of jumping all over the place in a dungeon is completely useless, and in reality all it really does is make it nearly if not completely impossible for any close-ranged fighters of your OWN group to help you kill them, and a lot of the time makes it harder for the ranged DPS to shoot/cast on them, and for the healer to target you to keep your arse alive. Posted August 20, 2011 My g/f will *never* talk during the adverts in a TV show, but the moment the show starts she will start talking to me about useless crap I don't really care about or need to know. We've been together nealry four years and *still* she hasn't learned, and I outright tell her every time these days. It annoys me most when it's something like the latest Dr Who which we've both been waiting nine months for, then just as they get to a crucial plot points she decided that's the point to tell me about the cat she saw taking a dump in next door's garden on the way to uni that morning. Posted September 17, 2011 (edited) Four more to add to my list that I posted awhile back: -When someone whines and complains about how their life sucks all the time, but don't tell you what's going on when you ask them. -When someone tells most of the people you know something , but then doesn't tell you. This is expecially annoying if you're close with the person. -Being touched by someone I don't like/don't know well. -When you're waiting for someone to reply to your RP post and you see them watching the thread, but they leave and don't post. People who don't listen in class, ask a question that was already answered I hate this so much. I usually tell off those people for not listening. Also hate it when you ask them that, and they go off into a rant about how they're 'misunderstood' or that they like someone but that person found out and now AW MAH GAWD THE WHOLE SCHOOL IS GOING TO KNOW AND THIS IS THE WORST. DAY. EVER! I also hate it when people are too modest. As in, someone draws something amazing or gets a 95% on the AP chem test, and then they go ahead and say 'oh, I suck, really. Posted September 17, 2011 - people that add water to mustard or mayo squeeze bottles: neither are supposed to be the consistancy of salad dressing! Not to mention it makes sandwiches soggy...speaking of which.... - soggy sandwiches - people that take second helpings of a certain food item when there is still plenty of said food item on their plate!. People that abuse disorder X as an excuse "I can't (and won't ever) spell correctly cause I've got dyslexia", I mean, you can atleast TRY instead of sitting there and whining, I got autism, you ain't hearing me whine about how hard it is to socialise. Posted September 18, 2011 A funnier one of mine (or at least funny according to my family >.>) is that I absolutely hate when there's a mixed-colour string of Christmas lights with two of the same colour in a row. If the lights form a pattern already that's fine but in the ones where the colours are random, it bothers me way too much.
