It's a case of finding the right person at the right time, though. It would also depend on how rare the line is. For example, I wouldn't trade my mint line for that, because it's about impossible to get a prize from them. But a line rare just due to having less offspring but that isn't horrible to get prizes from? Sure. I could breed another later, if I wanted. I got 1 Chrono for 6 CB random hatchies. I have another question: Are some coppers rarer than others, and what do they go for right now? Posted November 24, 2015 I have another question: Are some coppers rarer than others, and what do they go for right now? Sorry for all these questions, it's just that I haven't been trading in forever. Copper worth goes as follows: Green > Red > Brown This is a generalization, of course, as some people prefer certain colours. Overall, though, that is a good rule to follow. Right now coppers are going for xenos (1-2 depending on the colour of copper and the breed of xeno, with Thalassa being the most in-demand, pyro being the least.), 3rd gen prizes (I usually ask for 1 green copper or two of the others for any but my really rare lines). Sometimes you can trade multiple (especially green) coppers for silver, but it's not the easiest trade to make. Also, since I know you're probably inquiring in relation to the trade you'll looking to make with me, I totally expect you to get a second opinion on this. This is just my experience with trading xenos and coppers as of late. Share this post Link to post

PB silvers are generally actually worth LESS than checker silvers. 2nd gen silvers from common mates are worth a lot, but not worth a CB silver or CB gold unless the person is really desperate. And yeah, I've noticed the Thalassas are much more valuable than the other varieties. When I started breeding them, I could easily get a CB Gold or Silver. When the Pyralspites first came out, I was able to get one for a 3G. Lately, I've been asking for CB Hatchies I need for various breeding projects, and with my sig, people can even take time to raise them, but they're still not biting. It's actually easier to offer them at this point than it is to try and trade them. Share this post Link to post
