Posted April 29, 2011 "Julia there is an inn over there, I will go get something to eat and you go check us in, Ok? Ok. John went off to go hunt while Julia went to go check them into the hotel. John saw a Karkados and killed it with his long sword. He took it back to his room in the inn. "You're kidding right? Karkados is extremely bitter, there is a house over there. I'm going to ask for a cup of sugar, while I'm doing that you get the Karkados ready. Julia went to the little cottage, to ask for some sugar, she knocked on the door and there were 2 Endarians, 1 with a blindfold on and one with no wings. "Umm, hello may I please borrow some sugar,? I'm all out. Share this post Link to post
Posted April 30, 2011 ((You know were in the city right? Not where random Kardakos would roam...)) Tyflos stood thinking. He could push his point about wings getting in the way, but he felt he pushed the wrong button. When she asked about the Jester thing his mind drifted to Endaria. But then an odd girl came up to the doorway and asked for sugar. "Oh, sorry this isn't my place. You should ask the one over there. This is her home." He said. He took a step back and pointed to Signum. Benny was starting to wake up though. Smelling the food, he started to wake, but it's be some time. Share this post Link to post
Posted April 30, 2011 "I apologize, I don't have any sugar," Signum replied calmly as she entered from the kitchen. She sat herself down calmly on a chair to relax, Laevantein beneath her making her a touch uncomfortable to be sitting so she shifted the sword to be beside her. Share this post Link to post

Posted April 30, 2011 ((Really long post, annihilated by my mom :| time for a shorter and less awesome post...)) Lillian couldn't really see anything but a general color as she was carried through the seemingly endless underbrush. But soon a flash of golden told her that they were approaching the end of the treeline. Her suspicions were confirmed when blize spoke ""I can smell the fire, animals, and people just ahead. I'm going to slow down so they can't hear us coming."" Lillian had seen people who occasionally rode Fownir so she sat up and tried to look as healthy and normal as you can on a horse sized creature. From her sense of direction Lillian could tell that they were slinking along alleyways in search for the back of a medicinal or apocracy shop. Share this post Link to post
Posted April 30, 2011 "Thank you, also do you know if there are any Drakos here? I am a Drako-Tamer and I dont have a Drako, sadly. If you see one tell me, please I live at the inn right next to you on the top floor 8th room. Thank you for you time, I'll be going. Julia left with no luck, no sugar and no Drako. "Why cant I never get a Drako? My sister Savannah got one, but why cant I get one.. I knew I should've kept talking to that Drako, or maybe I should be a Karkados-Tamer.." Julia walked into her room all glum. "Whats the madder Julia?"John asked. "Im the madder, I cant find a Drako anywhere, also everybody in my family has one."mumbled Julia "I was the last one to get to know how to skin-change."said John "Im going to go to bed"said Julia "Ok you do that."said John about to get in the other bed. Posted April 30, 2011 Tyflos walked back to the couch and sat next to his gear. "I wasn't expecting that." Tyflos told Signum. "Now what was the last thing you said before she came to the door?" He thought to himself for a second. It'd slipped his mind, oh right, jesting in Endaria. "Oh right, are you still curious about my being a Jester?" He asked. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 2, 2011 (edited) Blize picked up speed and Lillian had to lean down and hold onto her sister’s neck to keep from falling off. "What is it, where are we going, is something wrong?" she said in a panicked whisper. ""Guards"" she replied simply. After several sudden and disorienting turns her sister slowed down and came to a halt ""I do not recognize this territory, it is less well kept than the forest and there is no sign of herbs. Little one, I need your knowledge. Where are we?"" Lillian thought for a moment "Just how unkept? And are there any landmarks that you did not see in the other parts of town?" ((edit:We would like to notify you that you have unexpectedly jumped out of the emergency exit of the Midnight Madness airlines vehicle. Posted May 7, 2011 Signum sat down herself in a chair after Tyflos did before replying. "I would still be interested to know who I am giving shelter to, so if you would tell me yes," she said calmly. She was curious but also she could just use a good story right now. Things were at the point where she was certainly struggling to maintain her composure sometimes. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 7, 2011 "Well we know each other's names, but the Bargos I travel with is named Benny, he'll likely wake up when he smells food." Tyflos said. "Let's see, well not much to know about me I guess. My parents were killed when I was fourteen. To get my mind off it, I started up archery. Yeah, I know, a blind kid with a bow, great combination, but I did beat every kid in every competition. Around fifteen I started wandering the world, just exploring I guess. Maybe a year and a half later I was banned from Darakon for pulling some pranks with a couple friends. About that time I moved to Endaria and stopped wandering about. I got a job as a jester in the King's court. My stage name was Chess Piece. It came from the black and white harlequin suit I wore. My job was to sneak off during an act and pop up in the back of the crowd. I entertained the kids and if a song was playing, would walk about and play it on a mandolin so even the people in the far back could hear it. It was great, and i loved the job, but it was getting to complex. And not the job even. It was an old Ex. Not even really old yet, but she was always in the court. Plus I think she was the King's niece, so in the long run had to leave because of the awkward mood. I think I was eighteen and a half when I left and came here to Arver to help in the fights. I hadn't done it before mainly because I was exhausted after every performance. So that's my story, I've been here for about one half of a year. Does that quench your curiosity?" Posted May 9, 2011 ((I held it off because I didn't feel like posting )) Blize explained that she couldn't see anything but the duo finally agreed on darting to the next city commons. Perhaps if they could locate the lord's castle somewhere in the middle of town they would be able to get their bearings straight. Lillians head rang and she could see nothing. It wasn't black behind her eyelids but it definitely (with an I, not an A) wasn't white either. "Blize, I can't see anything now. And there are shrill loud bells in my head, I can't get rid of them." ""I am sorry Little One, I do not know how to help and I have been thinking, Is it likely that the healer will just hand over herbs to a blind girl? You aren't very likely to be able to steal in this condition"" "Yes I suppose you are right. I only have a few gems that I got from previous battles, warriors don't seem to carry much money." A sense of impending doom welled up in Lillian and she felt hopeless. What was she to do? Share this post Link to post
Posted May 9, 2011 "More then was needed," Signum replied in response. She had paid attention through his whole story and found it quite interesting, but she found it surprising that he didn't spice it up at all or make it more interesting. "So eventually you left and began doing what you do know huh," she mused. Everything seemed just a little quaint, like from one of the tails she was told as a child but that hardly mattered here. "So what will you do now? My patience isn't infinite if you haven't guessed," Signum asked. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 9, 2011 Tyflos shrugged. "I suppose I'll just keep doing what I'm doing. You know, joining in the fights, walking around or sleeping during the day. There isn't much else to do. This city isn't exactly a good time around every corner." He said. Benny started to wake up. He rustled about for a few minutes and sat up. Climbed up on to Tyflos' shoulder and still hadn't opened his eyes. "Hey kid, where are we and are we still with that broad." He said half-heartedly. Tyflos flicked his on the nose and Benny's eyes opened. He took in the scene in an instant. "Heh... heh... crap." He said. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 15, 2011 Lillian's eyes stung with tears that did not cloud her vision nor did they roll down her face because she constantly blinked them back. She could feel them turning through the alleyways that grew increasingly narrow. But then they stopped ""There is a building that is dressed with more splendor than the others. Is this the clan leader’s settlement?"" Lillian knew the answer immediately "Yes, this is it. Is the door facing us?" ""Yes, Little One"" "Then head in the direction that the door faces, down the main pathway." They took off again except this time down the middle of the busy street. Shocked yells and screeches issued from the common people and Lillian heard the musical twang and swish of a bow and arrow. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 18, 2011 "No it certainly isn't a good time..." Signum replied sourly. She mutely tended to the various things around her small home. One of the things she did was to pull a blanket and pillow from a closet in her bedroom for Tyflos so he could sleep at least some what comfortably on her couch. "How long will you want to stay here? I have no qualms with having you as a guest, I would just like to know how long you would like to stay," she asked. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 18, 2011 "Hmm, well, common courtesy tells me to say a night. So I suppose I'll go with that." He said. Benny might be rude little butt, but Tyflos always took a kinder approach to anything when a girl was in the room. Whether he liked her or not. That much he could manage. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 18, 2011 Chawnre was flying around. Just gliding there enjoying the breeze under his wings. It was nice and relaxing. He thought about the wars. How many would he survive? When will they finally take him down? How long before they capture and the sorts? He did thought about them and came in for a landing at the village. ((Attempting to get back in here could some one meet my char?)) Share this post Link to post
Posted May 18, 2011 "Then you may stay one night," Signum replied. "If you need more time though just ask," she added as she headed back to the kitchen to resume tending to the bird that was now cooking in the oven. It would be ready soon, perhaps another ten to fifteen minutes. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 18, 2011 "Well thank you." Tyflos said. Benny was fully relieved he hadn't just been stabbed by their host. He relaxed. He jumped off Tyflos and landed gracefully on the arm of the couch. He stretched and popped his joints. Looking around he noticed dinner. Roc? Was it? He couldn't tell. Tyflos thought were on Signum's kindness. Why had she let them stay, and even more, for the most part offered. He hadn't asked. Nor had he implied. Maybe he mistook her. He'd thought she was simply a cold person. Not by choice but because of societies expectations of normality. But he couldn't talk much, he was blind. As if he'd never been discriminated against. Well he might as well strike up conversation. He stood up and walked to the kitchen. He didn't enter a much as he leaned against the doorway. "I suppose your not attending the battle tonight then?" He asked curiously. Posted May 19, 2011 Chawnre began to walk to his home. Pacing a number of other draco tamers and the sorts he ignored them and moved on. "Draco tamers.... I don't see the other beings having tamers." he muttered. To him it was kind of a insult. Anyway as he walked a smell caught his noes.... some one was cooking. He followed it to a home, where his stomach gave a loud growl {Really now?} he thought. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 19, 2011 Signum was tending to the bird after having pulling it from the oven when Tyflos asked if she would be participating in the battle. She paused midway through her work to consider it before replying, "This is the first I've heard of it, so no I don't think I'll be participating." Her voice was cool and detached about the subject matter. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 19, 2011 "Your kidding? You know, where everyone goes at night. Off to fight the Mondagans. I'm told the Moon attracts bloodlust or something, don't ask me, I only go for something to do {and lot corpses, he didn't say}, but it's been going on long before either of us were born." He said surprised. "How haven't you known about them? You have that great sword, and your saying you learned how to use it only for hunting? Might as well learned archery, it's easier anyways." Posted May 20, 2011 "My apologies... I... haven't made too much effort to learn the ways of this city," Signum replied. She began to cut the bird apart, setting sections out on plates she had retrieved from a cabinet. When she heard his comment about learning the bow instead of the blade she replied, "You didn't notice then that I learned both the blade and bow." Share this post Link to post
Posted May 20, 2011 "Well as you can see, I don't notice a lot of things." Tyflos said slightly offended, but moved past it. "So you say you use both? That can't be easy. It's hard enough to master one, let alone another. I mean, I couldn't use a sword to cut steak. The feel is so much different. The stances are unlike each other than any two weapons. You stand sideways firing but forward slicing, or that you can crouch with a bow, but you can defend yourself with a sword. They're two very different paths." He was ranting. Boredom had struck him. Even if he had someone new to talk to, a place to sleep and a nice dinner, he hoped, he was still nineteen. It wasn't hard to drive his attention to a new topic. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 20, 2011 SIgnum briefly paused as she considered how she had spoken to Tyflos as she said, "My apologies, I shouldn't have spoken that way, it was quite rude of me." After a moment of silence during which she considered his talk about weapon stances. "They are very different, but I've had time, and patience to spare to learn them," she sad calmly as she brought over the plates of food, setting one before Tyflos and then sitting down with her own.
