DC Photography Contest #21

Once again, thank you to everyone who voted for me! The theme this round was an easy choice, as I promised Aerouant that I'd do a sunset theme if I won, and it still hadn't been used. In addition though, I'm tossing in the sunrise as well! So, sunrise and sunset, people! Let's see some entries!

 

Sunrise example, to decorate the first post:

 

 

 

 

Rules:

- One entry per person

- No manipulation besides basic photo adjustments (contrast, exposure, cropping, color balance, lighting, etc.)

- No text or framing in the photo. A signature/watermark is just fine, but it's preferable if you don't have "O Hai Eye Hav3 T3XT" (or something similar) present in the photo.

- When voting, please don't select your own image. This will ensure fairness.

- You are free to submit an old photo, you don't need to take a new one just for this competition.

 

Closing date: Sunday, December 5th

Okay.. I will go for this one: entry (Sunset with vulcanic ash in the air, Vlissingen)

I might change my mind or take a great shot of the sunset this week Which reminds me, I do have some sunrise photo's.. where did I leave those..

I don't think it's a rule that you aren't not allowed to, so technically, you probably can. However, I (and a few others, maybe) try to refrain from doing so. Makes things more fair.

@zelda_454: I agree with EternalSpring here. There is no rule against submitting the same photo several times, but as EternalSpring, I personally do not do it. New contest = new picture for me

So, my entry shall be Sunset on the Lone Survivor. Thus titled because there used to be a gorgeous grove of hemlocks there, but they all got sick and had to be cut down, and now this one little white pine always looks so lonely!
