Posted March 17, 2014 Luckily, I've never had any serious injuries but when I was in 5th grade I had a nasty bike fall and I had to spend a week in the hospital. I had a concussion and my face was bruised and swollen. I couldn't even open my left eye. Now the only reminder of the accident is a scar above my mouth but it's barely visible. Posted March 17, 2014 Nothing serious. Worst I've had is a scraped knee. I've got a crap-load of scars from falling. I've never been to the hospital, or attacked by an animal. I find myself lucky. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 18, 2014 Falling from the monkey bars and breaking my wrist. I was only 5. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 18, 2014 I was in 5th grade and we were having recess on the blacktop because the playground was soggy from recent rain. I was playing tag and running. Somehow the top half of me and bottom half ended up going different speeds (at least that is how it felt) and I fell. I scraped both hips, both elbows, and somehow managed to scrape my chin and bonk my head. My chin took four stitches, my elbows large band-aids, and I had a nice egg on my forehead. Needless to say I missed the rest of school that day. I did however go on my bike to meet my friends walking home, to my mom's confusion. (I don't know if she expected me to stay home hurt and miserable or what, but I felt fine and wanted to meet my friends.) I have a little scar under my chin still. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 21, 2014 Breaking my arm at age 3. I don't remember it but my father told me the story of when I fell of the daycare's slide. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 21, 2014 When I was about nine, I fell down on my jaw and almost bit through part of my tongue. It bled a lot but I didn't need stitches. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 25, 2014 My worst injury was when my dog ran down the stairs as I was walking down, and she knocked me off my feet. Gravity then took effect and I fell down the rest of the way, splitting my right leg open pretty good. I needed around 60 stitches for it. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 25, 2014 Not sure, I been in the hospital a lot, gotten over 1000 stitches. there are two that are tied, based on the long standing after affects. First one was when I was really little about 1 and half, my mom wasn't watching me, I climbed on the chairs in the kitchen, fell backwards, bit my tounge off almost completely, bit though my lips, and fractured my skull. They sewed my tounge back on and such, but the after affects was I had to be in speech therapy for about a decade. the second one was during Halloween, my mom's car door broke making it swing open, I fell out and hung onto the door and was dragged for about a mile, yelling at my mother to stop the car. I was picking stones out of my knees for a week. And due to that blunt force trauma to my knee caps, I now got arthritis there. lucky me! Share this post Link to post
Posted March 29, 2014 Maaaan you guys have had some pretty bad injuries.. Okay, when I was 3, I fell off my parents' bed. A couple hours later, I was in the hospital for a broken left elbow. About a year later...I stood up on my own bed, tripped over a blanket, and crashed to the floor. Mom heard my cry and knew exactly what happened--I'd broken my elbow again. It turned out to be the same elbow as last time, in more or less the same place. Share this post Link to post
Posted April 17, 2014 In my parents' mind, it would probably be the incident when I was five and skating on our ice rink... I fell into a folding chair and sliced my chin open bad enough that I needed a lot of stitches. I don't really remember the incident except my mom was really freaking out.... To me, the worst injury was probably last summer, when I took a turn too sharp too fast on my bike and wiped out in front of a friend who had just arrived the day before to visit me... I injured my ankle very badly and couldn't walk on it for weeks, which meant my friend was stuck inside rather than being able to enjoy the outdoors of PEI like we had planned. But he still had a good time so that's good. <3 I just hope he'll visit again and we can actually do some of things we planned. Before we go biking. Although that was the first time I'd ever wiped out on my bike, so he has a very poor idea of how good a biker I am. Share this post Link to post
Posted April 17, 2014 Last summer I crashed my bike on an asphalt road. I Got a gash in my head. I was playing with some other kids at the campgrounds at a place called Rend Lake. We had our bicycles there and decided to race and next thing I know i'm trying to pass my sister and I bump into her back tire and fall. I was going really fast too... Share this post Link to post

Posted April 19, 2014 I think my worst accidental injury was when I fell down a flight of stairs about 10 years ago. When I sat up, my right leg was curled under me and my right foot was on the step above the one I was sitting on. I had some serious soft-tissue damage, but no broken bones. But, I had my right thumb amputated due to skin cancer, when I was 19. I would say that's my worst injury overall... Because, you know, it's an amputation... I'm just glad it was done under anesthesia and not in some horrible accident. Share this post Link to post
Posted April 19, 2014 Worst injury... I was 15 and sliced my wrist open on a broken up window. It was sliced down the long way, so the doctors thought I was trying to commit suicide, but it was on the wrong wrist. That was probably the only reason they believed I didn't do it on purpose. Apparently, the cut was almost at the artery, so I was lucky, but I don't really think of this as my worst injury. I think of my worst one as just a few years ago when I slid down the stairs thanks to loose socks and sprained my ankle really bad. Had to go to the ER and ended up in physical therapy for it. I say it's worse than cutting my wrist open because I didn't feel any pain with the wrist thing, but my ankle just killed me for a year or more after, and I was afraid of just walking on uneven surfaces for a good two years after, even. Whenever it's cold, I still feel a catch in my ankle now and again and have to be careful with it - get it back in a proper position (gently). Share this post Link to post
Posted April 19, 2014 I got my shoulder slammed in a really heavy oak door and lost feeling in my entire right arm because the nerves were damaged. It was danged painful and i couldn't feel anything but slight pins and needles for 3 weeks... Yeah thats about my worst. Share this post Link to post
Posted April 19, 2014 The worst injury I've ever had was when I used to play football in school, i went to intercept a pass that was going a little too hard, and ended up pretty much shattering my left hand. It was right before a test in my music class, too ;( instead of playing Violin i had to photocopy sheet music every day. Share this post Link to post
Posted April 21, 2014 (edited) Dislocating both hips on a bouncy castle when I was 5 years old - oh and a rottweiler bitting my eye a month later luckily only going through the lid and not damaging the eye itself. Edited April 21, 2014 by lilacamy931 Share this post Link to post

Posted May 10, 2014 When I was little, I was jumping around from a sofa to a coffee table, fell, and broke my arm. Another time, I sat on my hand and dislocated my shoulder somehow. I don't even know. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 11, 2014 One day when I was a kid, my mom swept glass from the kitchen floor. She didn't sweep up all the glass and later I stepped on a small piece of glass with my bare foot. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 11, 2014 (edited) for me, either the stiches, or the broken leg, quite possibly the knee tendon when I was struck by a car about 3 years ago. Each of the above injuries were separate incidents. My husband, 8 screws and a plate in his left hand from me running over his face on a bicycle. He collided with me first. Posted May 12, 2014 I've got this condition with my knee where if I bend it in a certain way, it'll lock up and I'll be left in utter agony unable to move my leg (and I mean agony--the doctors described it as being as bad as having a limb amputated with no anesthesia). It normally fixes itself after 5-10mins and only once has it lasted long enough for me to have time to go to hospital. I had to take some gas and air while they slowly pulled out me leg and even then it hurt a little. I think it's caused by the cartilage in my knee growing at different speeds, so while one bit is normal sized, the other is a little smaller. It has locked 4 times in my life--once when I was 7, once when I was 8, once when I was 10 and once when I was 12. I'm 13 now, so I'm waiting to see if it locks again Share this post Link to post
