Posted December 19, 2010 I just picked up a sweet little horse hatchie from the AP. I missed it the first time I saw it so I figured from the redrop it must have been inbred. She is. She's a double Dorkface. I'm so thrilled. *happy dance* I named her Double Down Dorkface. *hugs new baby* Share this post Link to post
Posted December 19, 2010 (edited) The first Silver I caught of the AP is inbred and some of my other Silvers are, too, and I love every one of them. I caught an ER Black egg of the AP about an hour ago which is massively inbred. It hatched alt and I froze it because I still needed a S1 alt Black hatchi. I don't mind if some of my frozen hatchis are inbred. So are a few of my adults, but the metallics are the only ones I breed. Edited December 19, 2010 by Felischia Share this post Link to post

Posted December 19, 2010 I have a double dorkface too. It's a white stripe. http://dragcave.net/lineage/bX9U Ivory Striped Double Dorkface is its name. That's awesome. I think that double Dorkfaces are kinda special since it's definitely not something that people breeding Dorks are striving for. A friend of mine caught one about a year ago and I loved hers because I view them as more of a fluke then other inbreds. I checked the scroll that my horse came from and it appears to be a new person with only about 8 dragons. Even though they are inbred I'm impressed that they managed to catch two Dorkfaces to start with. Share this post Link to post

I have a third gen dorkface that I'm very happy about (a summer) but I love all my dorkfaces including the inbreds. Share this post Link to post
Posted December 19, 2010 My first Dorkface was a white, with a pure white and gold lineage. =) I'm very proud of that little guy, although he doesn't have a mate yet. Felischia- Congratulations! I've yet to find an alt. ^^ Share this post Link to post

Posted December 20, 2010 Felischia- Congratulations! I've yet to find an alt. ^^ Thanks, good luck to you! The last four Blacks I bred or caught hatched alt (the curled not the sitting one). Seems to happen a lot lately. Oh, I'd love to have a double Dorkface. But I'm a bit coy about breeding one myself. Share this post Link to post

Posted January 1, 2011 (edited) My first dragon was inbred also. Shes a 13gen(i think) and her alt dad was also her great-grandfather. That makes her garndpa her half brother and her mother her niece ><. I named her Tamsin SpookyWing and I still love her as much as you can love pixels~ While peaking at her lineage recently, I realized that her father had been killed by his owner. Edit: Actually, since if just says "deceased" where her father/great-grandfather used to be, it make her look like she's not even inbred at all Edited January 12, 2011 by Blood-Otherium Share this post Link to post
Posted January 4, 2011 I was gifted a sweet little red inbred. I think BSA dragons at least have a shot of surviving even when they are inbred. Maybe if all the dragons had some useful talent we would see less prejudice towards the inbreds and their perceived worthlessness. It would be nice if people could see the value in all dragons. Although a white with the same sort of lineage would be sufficient, also. ^^ Thanks, good luck to you! The last four Blacks I bred or caught hatched alt (the curled not the sitting one). Seems to happen a lot lately. Thanks. ^^ Sir Barton- Yes, it would be nice if things were like that. Share this post Link to post

That'd be really nice~ I was recently gifted an inbred alt black, and I got 21 counts of inbreeding: http://greg-kennedy.com/dragcave/tools/inbred.php?code=lAJM not the worst I've seen. I breed my inbreds as well, not often and usually only if I plan to keep them on my scroll, like my pinks... the Christmas and any other Holiday dragons are the exception, I will breed them on their respective holidays, every time. This thread finally gave me a reason to check my dragons for inbreeding, only one I knew of for sure was the Pink. Share this post Link to post
